FIRST let me say I have bad constipation problems. I have been to a place outside of Joliet around…read more12 times. At the time I was constipated for a very long time over a couple of months. I went there and the first time I thought that's all COLONIC was when just a few little balls came out so I just kept going back. as I kept going, that's all that would happen. Finally, I found this place called discovering Wellness with LAURA Dominic on LARKIN Avenue in Joliet Il. finally, I realized what a real COLONIC was after seeing LAURA at discovering Wellness. I had a complete bowel movement after my very first COLONIC. I actually seen it going through the machine which I never had seen before, and I had to go to her bathroom and sit there and even when I got home I was going to the bathroom having bowel movements. She is an amazing lady kind patient professional and if I could give her more than five stars, I would tell everyone to look up to the sky and count the stars and that would be the amount of stars I would give her. So if you need a real COLONIC and you're having trouble with your bowels. My opinion is call LAURA Dominic at discovering Wellness in Joliet Illinois. You will be very happy and you will be very pleased when she gets finished with you. I know I definitely was ....I continue to go Her kindness is overwhelming joy laughter, peaceful just a wonderful, wonderful kind lady. And she gets the job done..... LAURA showed me what a real COLONIC was. She got more out of me the very first time I saw her then the whole 12 or more times I had been to the other place outside of Joliet Illinois put together the first time I saw her... Thank you so much, discovering wellness ... I continue to go and I am feeling much better each time I go thank you thank you thank you . LAURA. loving the way I'm feeling much better nowadays. Thank you again LAURA at discovering WELLNESS ., M. CHYNISE LOVELESS ...

Laura was so friendly and very knowledgeable about colon health. Although I've gotten colonics over…read morethe years from other specialists, she still wanted to offer education and to explain the process to me using charts. It was very informative. She gave me lavender essential oil to smell and relax. That was a really nice touch. I loved the relaxing music that she played. The whole environment was very welcoming and relaxing. Her office is engulfed with books and health knowledge. Her office was easy to find, parking was plentiful. Her rates and packages are reasonable. Typically, after I get off of the table I'm not able to release anymore stool in the bathroom but with her I was! That was a first. I love that she uses a closed system, she assists with insertion and the way she massages the stomach. I will definitely return.

I wish I could review Joyful Holistics's Mara more thoroughly, but seeing as how she never called…read moreme back to reschedule an appointment, I can't say I've actually been to see her. I had made an appointment for one of her requested days (tues/thurs) and had to cancel when we spent a Monday night at the ER vet. I was impressed that I even thought to call her at all (things like calling my work and the like were at the top of my "to call" list, but I called her anyway to be courteous). I left her yet another voice mail (she's never actually answered the phone, just returns calls) that I would not be coming and understood if she would not honor the voucher I'd purchased, although I would love it if she would seeing as how I was a little stressed out and could definitely have used it! I called back the next afternoon to touch base and confirm whether or not I could still use the voucher or if she had a 24 hour cancellation policy. Still no answer and no returned call. It's been over a week and I haven't heard a thing. Way to do business...

I found Marla on www.lifebooker.com/referral/sleopold22…read more She was offering an ayurvedic head, neck and shoulder massage for like $35 for an hour. She is located up in Lakeview. There is really easy street parking in the area, just be mindful of Cubs games. Probably wouldnt be as easy. The 'studio' is located in an apartment complex. There were people cleaning it when I got there. It wasnt super relaxing because I could hear everything because there was just those bay-like doors to close off the studio from everything outside. Marla-although super nice. I have a major pet peeve when it comes to time. My apptmt was for 1015AM. I received a call from her at about 955AM saying she was running late because of construction. Said she would be there right around 1015. Well, Marla didnt roll up until 1030. Then I felt like everything was rushed, etc. Also, she had an apptmt after me so she shorted me 15 mins. However, she did say she would give me a free 15 mins next time. I just expect people to be there at least 15 mins before my apptmt. Not running 15 mins late. HUGE PET PEEVE! Also, the studio is pretty simple. I just laid on the table with my clothes on. It wasnt very dark either. I didnt mind though, but if you are looking for amazing ambiance-THIS IS NOT THE PLACE for you! The actual massage was really fantastic. Hard pressure in all of the right places. The only thing was, I wished I would have gotten my full time, the first time! Also, Marla gave me some great tips for re-energizing myself throughout the day. I really appreciated that. So it was a pretty decent deal, all things considering. I would go back and plan on it.

I purchased the Dealfind for a colon hydrotherapy session here. When I scheduled the appointment,…read morethe receptionist was unenthusiastic and unfriendly. I could barely understand her on the phone because she was mumbling and speaking so fast, and had to ask her several times to repeat herself. First sign of bad customer service. I told her I'd never done colon hydrotherapy before, and I expected her to explain the process to me and make me feel comfortable and welcome. But she brushed me off like she had better things to do, quickly saying that she'd call to confirm the appointment later and tell me everything I would need to know then. When she confirmed, I asked her again if there was anything I needed to know, ways to prepare, what to expect, and she said flatly, "No. Okay? Goodbye." Second bad sign. I knew I should have taken her attitude as a sign that the entire experience would be less-than-par. I expect a colon hydrotherapy experience to feel holistic and therapeutic, but this one felt cold, clinical, and impersonal. The office atmosphere attributed to that feeling too - a very standard doctor's office with paneled ceiling and fluorescent lighting. The room where I had the therapy was stuffy, and on the wall that the instrument was attached to was just a sheet of raw plywood drilled into the wall, making it seem like the whole instrument had been hastily installed in the room. It made me wonder if the colon hydrotherapy had been hastily added to their practice, too. My hydrotherapist was awkward and soft-spoken, but she did her job. The actual hydrotherapy was uncomfortable, but effective (I think!). Saw lots of crap removed through the waste tube. I do feel lighter and better. Only time will tell if it will boost my weight loss and well-being. I would not recommend this place for any therapeutic treatment. They also offer facials. Yikes! No thank you, not here, and not by your unfriendly staff.

I purchased a Dealfind for a spa facial and body wrap session. Just as the writer before me, I…read moremust have encountered the same unenthusiastic and unfriendly receptionist. I scheduled my appointment about 1 1/2 in advance. A week before my scheduled appointment I received a phone call asking if I could come in the day they called. I politely told them NO and told them I would be there the day I scheduled. The day beforehand I received another call asking if I was indeed coming???? Not sure what that was all about. The "spa" is located in a business type building right off Midwest road in Oak Brook. Yes, I was expecting a little bit more upscale because of Oak Brook but I certainly didn't get that feeling when I walked in. The same unenthusiastic and unfriendly receptionist was there and all she said was "someone will be with you shortly." I took a seat and looked at the products on the wall. Wasn't offered a drink or anything. The therapist came to get me and took me into a room that was cold and barely set up. There was a towel warmer, therapy table, facial and body products, and a chair holding up a mirror. No place to hang clothing but on the arm of the chair or bathroom near, at least as I could see. The therapist was nice and when I complained of the room temperature she told me she turned the temperature down just before I arrived. The room wasn't darkened for tranquility and the shades barely kept the sun shinning through the room. There was a boombox in the corner that played spa like music. This was definitely mediocre. I did tip the therapist because she knew what she was doing and I definitely didn't feel it was her fault she was working under these conditions. I do hope she finds herself another place to work at because this one isn't cutting it. When I left I asked Ms. Unenthusiastic and unfriendly if she had change for a $20.00. She literally went into a drawer and pulled out paper with money in it. She gave me change and I asked if she needed the voucher I had purchased. She took the voucher, no "thank you for coming," etc. Won't be returning although I liked the therapist. I had to ask for a brochure of services and it looked as if someone made the brochure and copied it several times. I was truly disappointed by the place and front desk service, however I did like the therapist. I guess for 39.00 -- what could one expect. My skin was good when I left -- so I got the service but not the complete experience.

I was part of some pilot program shortly before I left where they started doing dental implants in house. The implant has been in my mouth 3 years and is falling out. When you get told you have sth that's an easy fix and given a specific quote, to then the day of the procedure finding out that the dentist that diagnosed you is not there, and this new dentist is telling you that in fact you need sth much more expensive and invasive, and then after refusing to do it, the dentist that originally saw you gives you a call to admit and apologize for his colleague because they made a mistake, is more than disconcerting. This mistake would have not only been very invasive and a malpractice, but would have cost me almost $1,000 out of pocket! The hygienists there come and go and the one I've seen in the past couple of years, has lately just been wanting to sell us things and treatments that are not really necessary. The quality of service is inconsistent, the place looks always a bit dirty, and I do not recommend
