I do not live in Houston or Texas anymore, but, my Mom's headstone is located at a cemetery there.  I needed to get her death details added to an existing family headstone.   Mai Le answered the phone and was professional and kind. I contacted 3 businesses regarding engraving my mother's headstone and the price(s) quoted were very competitive.  However, it was the timeline that she quoted that earned my business.  It was the fastest out of all.   Payment was easy and flawless.  Contract was sent by text and email.  Mae Le followed up to ensure that I had received the contract. Definitely do not approve of using this company. I have paid in full before I even left the country to make sure this was taken care of, so I wouldn't have not to worry about it while I was overseas. Were told one price before work started and a different process from another person after. Decided to go ahead with company because you are already dealing with the death of a family member. Fast forward to supposedly delivery date..nothing but run around and no return phone call and when you do get the manager/owner she is rude as hell. No people skills or​ compassion whatsoever, will not give you any information once you've paid in full. So now you're doing the leg work calling the funeral home trying to be a middle man. Or she will tell you to text and she will call you back. Never will.​ Im so glad to be done with this company. Do your homework and save yourself the extra headache and grief. read more

DEADBEATS. Paid in full and got nothing in return but lies or excuses. Almost a year later and still nothing. Mai Le will hang up on you and simply respond to emails with "NO" or "dont scare me ok" when questioning why they have not done a thing and inform them you will be seeking legal help. Definitely do not recommend this company. To keep it short, I ended up having to take them to small claims court. Judge ruled in my favor and they ended up having to give me a partial refund. The lasering on my baby's headstone is not good quality at all. They sold me a headstone that had a "headline crack" (is what the other company I had to hire told me). I didn't notice until I looked very closely. The whole experience was horrible. Definitely not something you want to deal with while trying to grieve the loss of a loved one. The worse service I have ever experienced in my lifetime. Not only did this woman lie to us, but she cheated us out of money. Nearly 5 months after the initial payment, nothing has been done. When I went to get a refund, she didn't even have her books straight. I had to pull up a bank statement just to prove that I paid her in full. I explained to her that she really let my family down and she had the nerve to tell me that I didn't understand how busy she's been. Due to COVID her business is booming, but I am supposed to feel sorry for her? I lost my mother in the summer and her grave has yet to be memorialized, but this company is the victim?!!! My experience has been bittersweet I ordered my family headstone on June 27, 2022 everything started out fine at first then I noticed I hadn't received a call or email about the stone after the six month time period I was given I called I was told there has been some delays so I said ok after she said it will be about 6 more months. When I called back after the 6 months had passed I was told Paradise just approved it in January 2023 now it will be ready in six more months, which would have been July but I finally got it September 28, 2023. Can you imagine my frustration? But the one thing that kept me trusting her was the fact that she was always honest with me she just told me the truth and I can appreciate that. Now today my family headstone is at the cemetery looking oh so beautiful and now I'm so glad I was patient with her. I believe in my heart she was doing all she could to do the right thing. I am very very pleased with the quality of work that was done on the headstone that I had purchased for my brother. It took a while in which I was very patient in waiting for it. I do understand that sometimes it takes longer with certain stones they have to be cleared through customs. I am a satisfied customer. I never had a problem with getting in touch with them I had a great communication with them during this process. read more

I recently purchased a flat stone from Headstone world!! I ordered ordered it on the 1st and was ready by the 7th of March! I was able to create the perfect image and verbiage ! Many choices to pick from and... Mai Le could almost read my mind ... Reasonably priced too! read more

Terrible customer service would not recommend. They made a mistake and we had to pay an extra $150 dollars. Everything Mae Lee told us was one lie after another, from it will be ready in 1 week, your credit card didn't go through. My brother in law passed in July and here it is February 19th and we are finally get the headstone back. read more

This place has terrible service. We paid her for a headstone. 5 month later still no stone. We told us to wait another 2 month because it was on back order. We wanted to just refund and get our money back to go somewhere else. She refuse to give us the refund. She even tell me I will have to wait an extra 2 month after the stone comes in because I piss her off. Not sure what kind of business this lady is running. We just lost someone in the family due to covid and have to deal with this crap. Just terrible people. read more

This was not my first choice, but I wish it had been. (Love Monuments is AWFUL, by the way.) Tony Huynh & Mai Thao Le were very kind, helpful and cared about getting my Dad's headstone right ~ just as we envisioned it. It took a little time, they did multiple proofs and in the end the stone came out beautiful! They even sent me photo via text since I don't live nearby and couldn't see it in person. Unforunately when our mother and brother passed away within 3 months of each other last fall from Covid my distraught old sister when to these people out of convenience l believe. She stated how helpful and understanding they were until they got the signatures and money. They tie themselves up in the dealings with the funeral home masking being helpful but that's not their reasoning. My sister committed to them on Jan 14 2022 and was told the headstone would take 3 months to get installed. I commented more like 6 months to my sister. It is now Nov 2 2022 and recently they ran out to the burial site to drop a "SUDO" foundation that actually does not look like the right size. This was in response to me showing up at their offices (several times), several unanswered phone calls, unanswered emails, and a threat to go to ABC13. Well I got a silly email back telling me that some guy who does the stones has been out for some time (Not My Problem) and this was the hold up. They have the money and should find someone to complete the work of all the millions of dollars they have collected. What I did learn is on NICELocal.com they are "WANTED" as well and very much sought after. They appear not professional, non-communicative, and dodge you every chance they get. My family purchased a headstone from the I-45 Location. The headstone took over 7 months to get built and installed. It was difficult to talk to the owners: 1) their customer service skills are poor - they could not give us an estimate as to when the headstone would be ready, 2) The lady was irritated every time we called to ask any questions. 3) Their english was poor at best 4) They quoted us a price at first, then they switched it to a much higher price after we invested time selecting the headstone, etc. Very deceiving! I would NOT recommend to use them. At first, their prices seem reasonable, but then they switched prices. Pay a little more somewhere else and save yourself irritation and frustation! read more

Terrible Horrible worst experience EVER after a tragedy In my family.. I was told.. I'll call you back with your information and was hung up in my face multiple times.. I Call back for the 2nd time to see if they found my information and had to repeat the full name over again as if they never look into the information they already have.. I found Headstone world by google search. After my mother passed away I wanted to have a headstone which would reflect some of my mother's shining personality. The engravings were also an important item as I wanted certain religious text the first Kalima engraved on my mother's headstone. I met Brian at Headstone world and drafted everything in PDF. The engravings came out perfectly. The second aspect was installing the headstone and Brian sent his team to the graveyard and they installed the headstone exactly as I wanted it and with great care. This is the worst place in all of America to get a headstone made. I ordered my brother's headstone September of last year the headstone came in on February of this year the lady in charge that place kept telling me over and over that my brother's headstone was scheduled to be laid. She kept telling me next week is schedule next week is scheduled finally after catching on to her continual lies. I decided to call the funeral home and just as I thought the funeral home says that that lady had never contacted them to schedule a day to lay my brother's headstone. In fact they had only talked to her once since I ordered the headstone. every week we're going and buying flowers and getting ready to go out and see my brother's headstone to no avail the lady just kept on lying and lying. you may think it's cheaper to go through this place but by the time they take all their fees the funeral home fees their fees and all of the headache that you go through with this company you might as well just go to the cemetery. I would never ever ever ever recommend this place to anyone at anytime for any reason not worth it the lady lies oh, she's rude, he takes days to get back to you. not worth read more

We Initially paid deposit of 80%, $7,800 for our deceased Mom's headstone on 5/12/2014, their lead time was 3 months, which finally took 9 months, and our headstone was reduced in size more than 50%, the change was done without our approval, and by altering the permit document sent to the cemetery. They claim the cemetery did not accept our initial measurements, but was never informed to us, they asked us to sign a blank permit sheet and then it was completed by them with their reduced measurements. We were asked to pay the headstone's installation to the cemetery, which we did and not even then it was informed to us about the changes. We formally asked them for our money refund or a discount on the total headstone's cost, which they refused to provide and legal action has been initiated. By all means, please be careful with this company, they are deceptive and fraudulent people, in the 9 months we have dealt with them, they have moved 2 times without notice to customers. Please be careful.
