I needed some business headshots as well as a few pictures that would be appropriate for a magazine editorial within a week. I first reached out to two photographers who were recommended by friends. One had just gone on maternity leave and the other photographer didn't have a website or any portfolio put together, which sounded strange. When I asked to see her photos, they were a bit cheesy and not what I was looking for at all. So, I turned to yelp.... I reached out to about several photographers through yelp and Sonia responded within a few hours and had availability that week to shoot some photos for me. She was very easy to schedule with and open to shooting in various locations (I worked with adolescents so I also wanted some pics for my website in front of a painted wall or something more hip). Sonia was very open to my ideas for a location and different poses, but also gave me advice about what would look good for some professional shots that would be used to LinkedIn or business cards (like no jewelry or colorful wall behind me). I really appreciated her openness, as well as the advice and direction. We went to several locations, including my office and probably spent about 5 hours shooting/driving to locations. Sonia got the shots to me right away and offered a good number to choose from for edits. She had the edits done the next day and made several adjustments. I have no complaints. I cannot say enough good things about Sonia! She is beyond accommodating and is so fun to work with! I was in a pickle this week and needed to get a headshot ASAP! I found Sonia on Yelp and messaged her on Sunday evening to see if she was available. I only have great things to say about Sonia. I found her via yelp due to all her wonderful reviews. She was super quick and responsive and very accommodating. I really liked that on her website, in her emails and in person she made sure to state that she is vaccinated, masked and follows social distancing guidelines. She was very safe the entire time; she needed to approach me occasionally to fix my hair or show me the camera, but she always masked up before she approached me. She was lovely to work with, made me feel comfortable and the photos turned out wonderfully! I was kind of nervous at first and I think that comes across in the initial photos, but she gave me all sorts of tips and tricks that helped. Working with Sonia was amazing. I contacted her through email and she responded real quick with in 30 minutes and said she was available the next day to shoot, which was perfect for me.
