I met the new owner who was so gracious and friendly. He shared stories with me and showed me vintage barber trinkets. The shop is on the small side but offers plenty of room and charm. The big front windows allow in tons of natural sunlight. It's a great vantage point to watch the bustle of Washington Avenue. The lovely varnished wood and vintage chairs created a cool atmosphere. Everything was super clean and tidy. It felt so comfortable. While I was there a customer came in for his appointment. The three of us chatted about living in Cedarburg and how wonderful it is. I left feeling like I had made new friends. If I lived in this adorable town and had son's or a husband, I'm sure I would send them here for all of their barber needs!

Not being able to talk to a person to make an appointment should have been the first warning but my…read moreson had been there before for a trim which looked like nothing had been done but that is his style. He wanted to go for another trim it took all morning to wait for a walk in, fine it's not a salon it's a clip joint. He told her he wanted a trim in the back nothing off the top. She shaved the back of his head. Now we had a hysterical almost suicidal young man on our hands. After going back to the store front and asking her what she didn't understand about using scissors to trim his hair she said she showed him a picture which he said he didn't want that and she thought he said I want that. He speaks quiet so she probably didn't understand but after he felt the sheers go across his head he was frozen. The manager said well you should have come with him, sorry I was working. For us it was not the cost, he didn't want to wait to get into our regular salon he just wanted a trim right away. The moral of the story if you can't wait for a real hairstylist and you need a quick clip job go to a clip joint. Will not recommend this place for a dog.
