It ended up being far too intense for me, but I assumed I had simply chosen the wrong type of massage and decided to give the business another chance. For my second visit, I specifically booked a Swedish massage and requested light pressure, knowing the pressure had been too much the first time. Despite that, the massage therapist repeatedly used deep pressure, and I was visibly uncomfortable. Throughout the session, she asked if the pressure was okay, and more than a dozen times I asked her to lighten it. I repeatedly explained that it was painful and that I couldn't relax when the pressure hurt. Instead of respecting my request, she argued that a Swedish massage "wouldn't help my muscles." I wasn't there for a diagnosis or to be told what treatment I should receive--I booked a Swedish massage because my goal was to relax. That goal was completely missed because my repeated requests were ignored. On top of that, she asked me more than 10 times why I don't come in more often. I kept my answers short, and eventually stopped responding because I don't enjoy making conversation during a massage, especially when I'm repeatedly being questioned about my attendance. A massage should be a relaxing experience where the client's preferences and comfort come first. Ignoring repeated requests about pressure and continuing unwanted conversation made this experience incredibly disappointing. It was a waste of money, and I won't be returning.

They listen and respond accordingly. Soft, medium or deep massage they all have a good style and do a great job. I personally like a deep tissue but not one that is overly painful. I am learning that if possible try and go twice a month. After all our bodies need it to stay flexible and our mind and spirit needs it to stay feeling emotionally health. Yes it's a treat but we all deserve it in todays world. Another thing I have realized is these ladies may be smaller but they don't lack strength. If you what deep they are very capable. No worries though because they'll ask if everything is comfortable. I've already grown to depend on my visits just feel better and lose the pressures from work. I can see it's not an easy job but they are always spot on with their therapy and a sweet caring smile. They prefer bookings but they'll also try and accomodate walk-in's. I think the most difficult area are the booking but No Shows. I'd suggest we all give them the respect and consideration and think of other customers too. Dealing with the public nowdays can be a problem but as far as I can tell the atmosphere is always professional the facility clean, and the thereapists friendly. I've been to Cheryl 3 times for therapeutic massage and have recommended her to everyone I know. I was in a bad car accident years ago and went to a chiropractor once a week for a year and a half. If I missed one appointment, I was back to square one. Cheryl really performed a miracle with the pain in my neck and back from a messed up disk, scar tissue and muscle strains. I also went to her after my pregnancy just to take some of the strain off of my lower back and shoulders - again I felt great. She really gives enough pressure to work your muscles but not so much that it causes pain. I feel an immediate increase in ease of movement the minute I leave her office. Her prices are reasonable and her office hours flexible. Highly recommended to anyone looking to relax or in need of a real therapeutic/sports massage. I'll never get a massage in a spa again.
