We recognized the importance of working with a building company that would be able to inspect and diagnose issues related to our cedar shake exterior, trim and fascia, roofing, and painting. After exploring several construction and restoration companies, we decided to go with Baxter Construction given their reputation for top notch, project management and a wide range of expertise in many of the skill sets we would require. We were very impressed with their project management from beginning to end of what turned out to become a 6 month project. In working with Baxter, we were additionally comforted by the dedicated staff carpenters that had been with the company for many years. As the weeks and months progressed, Baxter were able to diagnose problems and perform remediations responsibly. We were kept up to date with frequent progress reports from the project manager, and grew to admire the carpenters who explained the details to us along the way. Given the need for carpentry, roofing and painting, Baxter was able to coordinate the process efficiently. This was a challenge given the numerous Covid related supply chain issues we ware experiencing. In short, we are extremely happy that we went with Baxter and would highly recommend them.

From the first meeting, Bill took time to learn about us, our needs and our aesthetic. He worked with us to create a gorgeous and functional space, and was sensitive to our budget and timeline. I am an avid home cook and baker and love to entertain. He designed a long counter space which invited guests to sit with me while I cooked and prepped, but kept everyone out from underfoot! The first time I had people over, and was holding court alone in my kitchen with everyone hanging on the other side of the counter... it was a beautiful thing. He even incorporated shelves into the design to display my collection of cookbooks and cooking antiques. The kitchen is the star feature of my living space. We also had the pleasure of working with Jason. He is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. All of the vendors Bill recommended were excellent. They did quality work and were extremely professional. We moved into our house at the end of 2016, and I have been cooking and baking up a storm ever since. I never want to leave this kitchen behind, but if I have to, you can bet I will be calling Spyglass Design to build the next one.

We decided on a prefinished red oak and were provided with a very fair and reasonable price. This type of wood was readily available, so there was no supply delay. Together we established a schedule because we needed it installed by a specific date only a few weeks away and Jonathan Ford led the Exquisite Flooring team to keep to it perfectly. Mariusz came over in a timely manner, provided an estimate that was reasonable and completed the work in a professional manner. He provided valuable suggestions and alternatives to what I thought the house needed, and finished the job in a neat/clean/professional manner. A good contractor is hard to find, and I'm glad we chose MAW Construction. Will definitely call them for future, general contracting needs.

NOBODY showed up, no call, no text, At 9am still nothing. So, I reached out to Caleb who told me he would find out what's going on, then at 1045am, he made up some story about the truck breaking down. Told me I'd be priority the following week. He also told me he would reschedule me. NOTHING. No work done, no return calls no return text. It's now 6-18-2025 still NOTHING. My $2500. dollar job wasn't big enough, so they just pushed it aside and said who cares. SAVE yourself time and the headache CALL SOMEONE ELSE. Plenty of contractors out there.
