Never coming back. Lynn was so nice in the beginning and did exactly as I asked but after about 4 sessions she has my cuticles literally sticking up! (I do gel X so she uses the machine to clean the cuticles) I didn't say anything as I assumed she would clean them up but after sometime I asked her are u going to get rid of my cuticles and she said yes. She brings a bowl of water and gives me a quick manicure. I assumed since the salon was empty she wanted to be a little extra. I come to pay and she wants to charge me an extra $10 for a manicure I didn't even ask for? I couldn't believe she was going to let my cuticles hang like that! So so unprofessional-would have been better if she didn't even touch my cuticles! She starts raising her voice at me and tells me anywhere I'd go they would do the same thing and only a manicure would clean my cuticles! So wrong! Even she would use the machine to clean my cuticles in the beginning and so would any other place I've been to! So sad that she lost me as a regular customer who was paying almost $100 each time because she wanted to make more money on me! Also, top coat always chips off and nails start looking matte. I had to apply regular top coat after just a week on my gel X.. so sad given the price I'm paying. read more

The whole team of manicurist and pedicurist are amazing; they work with exactly what you want and they will not let you leave until you're completely satisfied. Color selection is beyond what you would ever imagine a small four- chair salon to be. But can I say how nice it is that they actually have spa chairs!!! I would say she probably has 500 regular colors and probably 200 to 300 gel colors. The atmosphere is super relaxing; the fact that she has spa chairs is already a step above most salons. This place was one of the worst nail salons I've ever been to. I needed my acrylics to be removed and the woman who did them seemed as if she had no idea how to so she just did a bunch of stuff to it until she could get it off. Then, once she got them off and went to clean my cuticles, she made me bleed on all of my fingers and tried to wipe it off with nail polish remover which just burned. Finally, she put glue on my blood and painted my nails with one coat and a terrible job on the top coat. Also my friend got a manicure as well and it came out bumpy and uneven and when she asked them to fix it they just yelled at her and when they finally fixed it they didn't even bother to give her a top coat. I would highly recommend you don't go to this place :( read more

In an attempt to not clash with the bridesmaid gown, I brought along a swatch (okay, it was the hem cut off from alterations) and selected two colors - the bolder one for my toes. While they were only able to take one lady from our party at a time as the staff ladies became available, we lucked out and ended up taking up all 4 massage chairs for pedicures long enough to get a picture taken together. I have been going to HD Nails for over 2 years now. I work in Tarzana but I currently live by Venice Beach and I will gladly make the drive out here to get my nails done by these wonderful people if I need to. Lynn, the owner, is fantastic. I usually give her a call an hour or 2 before I come in to see if I can get my nails done. I don't usually wait bc I go on weekdays around 4pm. When I walk in I get the warmest welcomes from Lynn and her staff. Rosie offers me Vietnamese coffee as soon as I sit down bc she knows how much I love it. So customer service is an A++. Raymond is my go-to nail tech. I believe he is the youngest employee they have and let me tell you, his age does not reflect his work. He is absolutely amazing and very professional. He does such a nice and clean job. I am currently OBSESSED with my new set of dip powder that he did on me. Took a photo of it. I like to keep my nails pretty simple and I can't stop staring at them. I randomly drove across this place and needed a mani/pedi BADLY. I got a full set and a pedicure and I am OBSESSED. The color is perfect. The filing is perfect. My toes are perfect!! Not everyone knows how to do the pointy nails. Sometimes they're too short, sometimes too long or skinny. She did them EXACTLY how I would want them, not even knowing that's how I would want them until she did them lol. I had my 2 year old with me and they were so nice and sweet to him. They gave him lollipops and when he got his mouth all sticky she went and grabbed wet napkins and wiped him down because my nails were drying. That's so nice for someone to do!! TIP: i wanted my nails MATTE, and they charge $3 extra for it. So, I paid $6 for my nails and toes. Now, all the matte is is a top coat, so I suggest just buying the top coat yourself and doing it if you want matte. Save yourself some money :). Yikes. Read all the great reviews hoping to find a new spot in the area...I am so disappointed. Went in to have my gels removed and with a manicure and pedicure. Regarding the pedicure... they "ran out of hot water." Uh, what? The girl went to the sink and added about 3 tablespoons of hot water to the whole foot tub. Within the first 5 mins my feet were ice cold. I ended up taking them out. At no point did I feel relaxed. When I was sitting in the manicure chair, I overheard 2 other girls say how cold the water was so it wasn't just me. It hasn't even been 24 hours since my manicure and their already chipped pretty bad. The girl kept talking and looking the other way pretending to file and stroke my nail. If you love your nails and having "me" time, I wouldn't go here. read more

I wanted to get the coffin style nails but was unsure how it'll look on since it was my first time! She ensure me it would look good on. The whole place was lid and quiet with nice background music. Not loud like other nail salons. Although the price is a little high Lien does a great job. My coffin nails plus design came out to be 40$.
