I don't normally wear makeup, and prefer a natural look. I usually only filled in my brows to put myself together, and even that was a hassle by my standards. My eyebrows are sparse and do not grow in the full shape I would like. I found Angela's work on her instagram page and knew she was exactly what I hoped to find. She finds the unique shape that works best for each individual, and somehow works magic to make it look like you're not wearing any makeup or tattoo. I've had my tattooed brows and lash line for several weeks now, and they feel like ME. I haven't filled in my brows since. I look back at before pictures, and now they look so sparse to me, even with brow makeup. Not only is Angela an artist, but she is a joy to work with. I was unsure of the exact shape I wanted, and she patiently worked through several iterations that I wanted to try, tweaking and giving an expert perspective on what proportions would work. Choosing a makeup tattoo artist is a huge decision. This is the shape of your face!! I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to continue asking for tweaks with a different artist until it was absolutely perfect, but Angela was so kind and patient. You can tell she is passionate about her work and ensuring her clients receive the best possible service. Thank you so much for taking care of me, Angela!

But the shocker is not her cauliflower personality and style but it's her lack of people skills! Wow stunning terrible communication and customer service skills!! I went for a bold look ( not her jam ) but she took me bc my amazing hair stylist did it and I loved her bold result. She said she'd refer me to someone for my eyeliner. I did 2 treatments and asked for a referral for my eyeliner bold retouch she said she emailed it. I also texted her my results from the first job.... In looking for the recommendation in my email I didn't see it so I texted and waited, then texted and waited, then texted and waited then went back to Instagram where she blocked me I was on time to appointments, I tipped ( even tho she should be all inclusive), nothing negative occurred she shared lots of sweet personal things and as far as I knew all was well. It's not a huge loss to be ghosted but certainly hugely unexpected, unprofessional, and unnecessary! Overall- the point of permanent make up is to look like you're wearing make up! Which is not what she does. She fills in between your eyelashes and put a very light shade on your lips -then I guess ghosts you! A pass for a recommendation.

I am a day late and a dollar short on writing my review. Ash took care of my brows back in March…read more First off, I was SO hesitant about getting my brows done. I hadn't been happy with them for awhile after over plucking when it was still cool to have those barely there lines for eyebrows. I had this one spot that didn't seem to grow back and I COULD ALWAYS SEE IT. Then my friend used Ash and I was intrigued. Not long after I made a consultation and ya'll, this girl is so great. She asked a bunch of questions to 1) get an idea of why exactly I was interested in powder brows 2) get an idea of what I was expecting to get and most importantly 3) ensure I would be safe, if there were any safety concerns, and walk me through the process. I don't have a tattoo, I had no idea about the potential reactions, and she walked me through the healing process and what to expect. During my appointment she was so calm and relaxed that she made ME relax. She talked me through what she was doing. She checked in on me throughout the process. I will say there were a few parts where my eyes were watering, but overall not a problem. Ash even walked me through the differences between cosmetic tattoos and a body tattoo. (No, tattoos aren't as easy) After my appointment I was ANNOYING. For the first week I think I messaged Ash every day asking questions about "is this normal?" or "does this look ok?". She was always extremely kind and patient. She answered all my questions and even encouraged me to ask more. Ash is truly the best. She made the entire process feel comfortable, she has the patience of an angel, and is truly one of the kindest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. I've already recommended her to everyone I know, but now I'm recommending her to you too. Thank you Ash!

The first salon I found wanted over $600 for just a style and gloss. The gasp I gusped. I walked out of Salon deZen for literally hundreds less than that, with a fast and fabulous cut from Mariah customized to my needs (after a very helpful consultation), along with a demi-permanent teal gloss on my previously highlighted hair, AND a truly gorgeous laminated brow and Korean lash lift from Caroline. Mariah gave me a hair style that requires minimal maintenance, but has tons of movement and versatility and a color that made me smile so hard it hurt. Caroline somehow made my DISTANTLY related eyebrows look like sisters instead of estranged second cousins. She also gave me a bottle of oil with a spoolie for lash and brow aftercare that made such a difference in the hair texture after processing. I reached out to Katie countless times and each time she was patient with answering all my questions. I finally took the leap of faith last Thursday and I couldn't be more satisfied and content! I'm still healing but it is showing up and out nicely. At first I was a little bit weary that the pigment was red only to find out as of yesterday, what I was experiencing was just my skin healing. My color is a medium, dark brown and I couldn't be happier with KT's expertise. My appointment took about two hours and the majority of that time was her creatively, strategically and flawlessly mapping out my BROW shape size and color according to my facial frame as well as my preference. At first I felt the blue print for my brows were slightly thick and so she throughly adjusted and we were good to go! Katie is obviously confident in her craft and talented. So if you have been contemplating, considering or thinking about getting EVERYDAY BROWS... STTOOOPP!! No more thinking about it! DO IT! With KT you'll have no regrets. I would also like to mention I am a Lash artist myself and I now understand more than ever how important brows and lashes are to our facial features and how they really complement each other hand-in-hand! One last thing! Katie does not price gouge! She does not believe humans shouldn't have to lose an arm and a leg to gain Eyebrows :) just do it ya'll!

I really had a wonderful experience getting nano combo brows with Simone!…read more This was not my first time getting an ombre brow service. The first place I went to was about 3-4 years ago. Although I had an overall good experience there, when I went for my 18ish month touch up, the owner of that business seemed distracted, didn't really care to listen much and overall the whole service felt like a rushed, assembly line transaction. It's been 18 months since that last touch up, so I was due for one. My brows started to have that washed out look, but I just didn't feel compelled to go back to the original artist (although the color boost would have been much cheaper.)After following Good Brows on social media for a few years, I decided that Simone's work had a softer, more natural look that was much more aligned with my taste. So I inquired and she soon followed up to set up a consultative call after I sent a picture of my brows at present. My appointment was set up on that call, which was about 6 weeks away. I made a non-refundable deposit at that time and then received more pre-appointment instructions the week of my appointment. I must admit, there are a lot of details to read and pay attention to when it comes to policy - which is either a sign of a meticulous and detailed business owner, or potentially someone so particular that flexibility may not be at the forefont when it comes to collaboration. Luckily, all of these details are just so that Simone can maintain a high level of professionalism in running her business and ensuring that her clients receive the standard in care and artistry that they're paying for. On morning of the appointment, I gave myself plenty of time to ensure I wasn't late (there is a $150 rescheduling policy if you're more than 10 mins late.) She texted me right when I was arriving, which was a few minutes early to let me know I could come in if I was waiting, so we were able to start right on time. The studio space is warm and beautiful, adorned with gorgeous art (if you're lucky, she may tell you some stories about the pieces.) She then sat with me to talk about my concerns and interests. She's a good listener - genuine, intentional and collaborative in ensuring that what you like is what she delivers. When asking about how nano strokes might look over time, she was honest with me and level set expectations. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that kind of transparency -it's refreshing. She ended up cleaning up my brows, color correcting and adding a few strokes to the front and I tell you - I feel brand new (even fresh out of the chair, which we all know can feel a bit alarming before the color softens up in the healing process.) Additionally, it was evident through our conversation throughout that Simone is a beautiful human - inside and out. I enjoyed our chat and loved the result of her work. If you're in limbo, I suggest you go for it but have a good sense of what you're looking for. Bring examples of past work that you may like or try to go in with an understanding of the overall aesthetics of what appeals most to you. Simone is an expert, so the quality of the work speaks for itself. I feel relieved that I've found an artist that has an aesthetic of work and level of professionalism that I truly value to return to when needed. Thanks again so much, Simone!
