After reading many positive comments about this place, I wanted to give it a try. Given the fact that I have a budget for self-care treatments, I called and asked for a price before booking anything. The receptionist responded to my question with, "well, what have you paid in the past"? I asked again and she said I could come in for a consult for the price information. What kind of response is that? I don't want to come in for a consult, and waste my time or yours, if the price is higher than I want to pay. Review #6. I bought a Groupon to the medspa, however if you call the business and tell them about the offer they will honor it over the phone...instead of going through Groupon. They offer facials, eyebrow microblading, fillers and botox, photo facials and much more. The location is not prime if you are a city dweller, however if you live on the north side of town this location is perfect. Located in Old Town Spring, this super cute, rustic chic set up is just the cutest! It looks like an old house that has been converted into a spa. Very quaint and welcoming. The two owners are as delightful as can be and were both there. One, the receptionist and one is the nurse who gives injections and others. The nurse has been practicing for years and is very knowledgeable with fillers. She discussed my needs and didn't try to oversell. The results are just as I had hoped. Results were okay, but could just be my personal reaction to it. They don't honor the Yelp deal advertised and claim they're trying to get it removed, not a huge deal. This is definitely a hidden gem. I loved the woman who did my Botox. I believe her name is Janet. First, I showed her the Botox I already had done a week prior. She said come back in two weeks and we will fix it, and see what it looks like then. What I loved is we did Botox for crow's feet near the eyes. She took one look at me, and I feel did the bare minimum injections. (Which is amazing, because who wants to ACTUALLY look like they have work done.) I've gotten Botox done from plastic surgeons to dermatologists to regular spas, and I can genuinely say I was impressed. Be sure to bring a mask and wear it, because it will cost $2 for one. They take care credit. Also, mention the Groupon because they will honor the price that is offered on Groupon. I believe it was $10-$11 a unit, which is pretty damn good. Most plastic surgeons charge $14-$16, and Janet was spectacular. If you want Botox, go here. Also, she is speedy Gonzalez. I absolutely love this place! When I first moved to Houston about 3 years ago, I was looking for a place for botox that could compare to my good experience in Dallas. I tried a few and wasn't satisfied. Then I came here and have been a loyal customer for about 2 years now! She is very conservative with botox and is not trying to scam you to buy more units, which I respect and appreciate so much! That is what makes loyal customers. I would get my masseter muscle injected at another location because I never thought to ask if HBR does that. Well, THEY DO! So absolutely am I going to get both routine botox and masseter botox here. Hidden Beauty Retreat Medspa is a little slice of heaven! From the moment you walk through the doors of this beautiful sanctuary, you can feel the tension melt away. You'll have no doubt whatsoever, that GREAT things await you! The facility is absolutely gorgeous. It was previously a Victorian tea room, built I presume, circa early 1900's. Janet and her team have transformed it to retain and highlight many of the wonderful historical features of the building, but have added a modern, fresh and elegant makeover to the place. When you come in, you find you just don't want to leave. This is a place worthy of a spread in Architectural Digest. It's just beautifully done. But the BIGGEST reason of all to come to this lovely retreat is for the expert medspa treatments provided by Janet and her team. Janet (who is a very experienced RN) is in my opinion, one of the most talented Botox injectors in the greater Houston area. One thing many people don't realize about Botox, is without a highly experienced injector, you can get crazy results; uneven eyebrows, sunken eyes/forehead, odd wrinkles here and there, droopy brows/eyelids. This is actually COMMON. And doctors are some of the worst offenders. What you need for perfect results, is someone who injects every day, and has done so for over a decade. That's Janet. She is meticulous in her approach. She believes "less is more" and doesn't try to up-sell you like many other medspas and MDs. She works to give you the BEST RESULT. And in the world of Botox, that's the only kind of approach you'll be happy with. Additionally, many medspas and even MDs (which is shameful!) DILUTE their Botox. So while you're buying that Groupon special for 20 units, you're probably only getting 10 (and your so-so results prove it). Janet and her business partner, Lois, are both from the UK and unbelievably charming and gracious. You'll feel like you're at a tea party (with "proper" china for delicious espresso or tea which you're offered the moment you enter through the front door). They make you feel at home, fully at ease and offer a lovely retreat from the stresses of the outside world. There are private areas of the home with lovely little tables which make a perfect setting for a girl's lunch or night out. This is definitely a fantastic venue for a private spa day with your BFFs, bachelorette party, or birthday celebration. There are all kinds of wonderful treatments available. I paid $1,500 for truScult and got ZERO results. They called after about two weeks to check my progress which was not good. I was told it may take 6 weeks to see results. I called back after 6 weeks to let them know I was not satisfied. I was then told it my take 12 weeks. Well, 12 weeks have come and gone and still zero results. The very reasonable per unit price for Botox was also a factor in giving the establishment a try. I am a Registered Nurse who has been receiving injectables in excess of ten years. Janet provided the most thorough consultation I have ever received prior to a treatment administered by a nurse OR a physician. She listened patiently to a description of the results I wanted to achieve and was conscientious in determining the injection sites based on that information. I fully expect to love the results. The ladies there are lovely and knowledgeable. Their location on Spring Stuebner is conveniently located right off of I45 and worth the drive from surrounding areas.
