I've visited this med spa before and had my lips done without any complaints. I've asked questions about other treatments in the past and have always been respectful, professional, and easy to work with. This review isn't coming from emotion just based on facts and experience here. I recently called to ask about the VI Peel Purify with Precision Plus and was quoted $220. I even mentioned that I'd had a bad experience at another med spa where I was given an off-brand peel, so I was being extra cautious. I clearly asked for that exact formula, repeated myself multiple times, and wrote down the quote immediately in my appointment notes. A week later, I followed up, only to ask what I needed to avoid before the peel. That's when I was randomly told the price was actually $310, and that I had misunderstood. I had not. My communication was direct and specific from the beginning. When I calmly expressed the experience was frustrating given the back & forth with them, and offered a very fair compromise, $60 off, I was told I was "too nervous" and that no discount would satisfy me. That was both false and patronizing. I never raised my voice, never demanded anything unreasonable, and still expressed interest in keeping the appointment. Instead, they chose to cancel and try to frame me as the problem. Unfortunately, this wasn't my first uncomfortable experience. During my previous visit, I casually asked the injector about smile lines. I said nothing else, but she pointed out jowls. something I hadn't mentioned at all. Her tone came off more critical than constructive, and it left me feeling picked apart instead of supported. I also downloaded their app, which clearly stated I had $50 off my next treatment. When I brought it up, I was told I couldn't use it. The pattern I experienced: A quoted price that suddenly changed, Gaslighting language to avoid responsibility, Undermining comments that felt personal not professional, Advertised rewards that weren't honored. It's clear this business isn't used to women advocating for themselves without backing down. We Clients deserve transparency, consistency, and respect, not vague pricing, shifting explanations, or dismissive attitudes when we speak up. Be careful if you plan to visit! This is my favorite and only place I go to get all my skin care needs done! I have been going to Skin 101 since 2017 and first started with the laser hair removal treatment. I had my armpits and bikini area done because I used to suffer from extreme razor burn and never had the smooth shave I envied. To this day I rarely have to shave and when I do the hair is thin like peach fuzz! I also have had lip filler done 3 times here and loved how they looked everytime! Jincy is the best injector and explains everything you need to know. Lastly I have suffered with acne starting at age 16 and have tried so many different medications and creams. Nothing seemed to help until I was recommend to try the aerolase laser to help treat my pigmentation and current acne. After 3-4 sessions I noticed a huge improvement in my skin!!! Upon arrival, you call the desk from your car and they come out to your car and take your temp and then lead you to the treatment room where you fill out additional paperwork. Beyond disappointed. It really just depends on who you get. I went in with my friend. She got Jamie. Her lips looked great, no issues, she still looks great. I got a new girl. Didn't know she was new and no one would tell me exactly how new she was. I also didn't know this until she had already started and I began noticing problems so I asked if she was new. That first session was terrible. I knew she went beyond the lip line immediately and I told her she did. She told me it's just swelling. I told her I've never had swelling like that so soon. I will add pictures. This was not my first time getting my lips done and I'd never had someone do it this poorly. I was botched. My lips were so puffy. I looked like I had an uneven mustache with flash on. Again, will add pictures. I went back in for a follow up in about two weeks. I told them on the phone it doesn't look right so they put me in with the girl who originally did my lips. She apologized when she saw them. She agreed that she over filled past my lip line. She told me they would get them dissolved and fixed free of charge then comp another kind of service because of how long this would take and because it was 100% her fault. She injected one syringe of dissolver during that session. She wanted to do a whole second syringe, I told her we should just wait and see what the first one does. I come back a few weeks later to see another woman because I wasn't about to have the same girl do my fillers again. I made sure on the phone prior to the appointment it was going to be comped and that they knew the situation. I get there, see the new woman, she notices a lot of lumps in my lips that have formed. We need more dissolver. Before that, she texts the owner to figure out the situation because she was under the impression I was paying for the new fillers and the dissolver. Roxy, the owner, told her "no free fillers." I was shown the text. I tell her that the new girl told me it would be free because I've already paid for the fillers. It's not my fault she didn't know how to inject them and now I have to get them removed. The woman injecting me this time agreed with me and called the owner and the girl who botched me. The girl said she told me it would be free, this was also noted on my chart. After all of this back and forth, not to mention time, Roxy agreed I guess. She tried to dissolve the lumps to the best of her ability and I saw her back in two weeks for new fillers. The woman injecting me this time, in her defense, had a difficult job. She was still working around lumps because they were just all throughout my lips. I needed my lips at least presentable because I had a zoom conference call coming up. I do think she did the best she could've done given the circumstances. The original woman just did it so poorly that it was hard to fix without dissolving every bit of filler I have and starting fresh. This was about a month and a half ago. My smile is uneven, the lumps are still there, there's a puffiness on one side outside of the lip line, I have overall puffiness outside of the lip line, and this was hundreds wasted. I'm going to have to go to another office and get everything dissolved and start brand new because they didn't train one girl correctly. This is going to cost me so much more money in the end. I should've waited for an opening with the girl I've gone to before. If an office is making you a training dummy, they should let you know. I'm so upset over this entire experience. I'm upset that they didn't let me know she was new, I'm upset at the owner for trying to charge me more because of her mistake in training, and I'm upset it was so botched that we couldn't fix it. Both injectors were insanely polite but the first one just didn't know what she was doing and needs to be trained more. Now I will be dropping at least a grand to fix this. Never again. Update for the owners response: I have gotten filler, the exact same filler, done before. Zero issues. The girl who originally filled my lips TOLD ME she did it wrong. The woman who did it after also said the first girls injecting was due to her own error because migrating isn't that fast. If you don't like having unhappy clients, don't try to make them pay twice. You can very much respond to why you texted "no free filler" and tried to make me pay a second time. You also had multiple opportunities to improve said experience but you caused issues. read more

Wouldn't recommend. I've gotten botox many times over the years. This was my first time using this clinic. Sat for a consult with Paige. We went over a "plan". Told her I wanted my 11's gone and we opted for a little Botox in other areas of the forehead as well. Two weeks later, no change. I call the office and they tell me to come in for a touch-up at no charge and tell me that the Botox they received was faulty. I make an appt for touch up. The morning of the touch up, on the way to the appt, I miss a call from the owner (as I'm driving). Pull over, call her back. She tells me Paige is violently ill, throwing up and that I'll need to reschedule my appt. I have plans to leave town for my grandmothers funeral, but push back my leave time to oblige. She assures me they will not use Botox. Ok, great. They're taking care of me, right? Arrive at my touchup appt. do a consult, discuss wanting my 11's gone and go over the previous plan. Feel a trickle down the side of my nose during injection. I'm assured this is no problem. Finish appt. Small talk with owner at checkout..she shows me a large pile of files and tells me there are many cases like mine across the nation where the Botox simply "did not work". I say "so she didn't use Botox again, right" Owner asks injector and injector states they didn't know they weren't supposed to use Botox. I'm dumbfounded. How can there be a nationwide issue, multiple clients with Botox that failed and the injector not be made aware that the Botox is "bad"? Makes no sense to me. Injector apologizes. Owner tells me to check back in two weeks if Botox doesn't work. I call back two weeks later bc low-and-behold the 11's are still there, theres still movement and it's literally like nothing was injected into my face. I'm asked if I have before and after pictures, which I reply "I do" and I'm told I'll get a call back from Roxy. Never got a call. Spent close to $300 (AFTER a promo). Next time I'll go elsewhere where they get it right the first time. **Edited to include response to owner's claims. I have no reason to lie. While traveling thru Houston I decided why not get a facial... super busy lately and I just can't find the time when I'm home! I purchased the brite facial and chemical peel! Everything went quickly, approximately 40 minutes or so! The facial was nice with the steam layer after layer... I think my favorite was the vitamin c and the extractions! The NP that preformed the procedure was nice informative about my skin concerns...the chemical peel burned initially in certain areas so she neutralized it and she decided not to apply it again! I had a European Facial and Microdermabrasion from Jessica. She was very sweet and accommodating. She made sure I was comfortable during my visit and explained any questions I had about my skin. Do not go here! I went in for some laser hair removal...simple yes...but that isn't what happened. I was burned and not like something small...all over my bikini area. It was red, swollen, and more painful than childbirth. Their excuse....we read your skin wrong. Absolutely not acceptable. I tried to be understanding but after 2 weeks and peeling...because it wasn't a simple discoloration but a massive first degree burn.. I'm done being quiet. They did refund money and gave me SAMPLES to help but that's not enough. I'm left with 40+ crescent shape marks all over my private area. I spent the trip I had planned to Costa Rica using body makeup to cover up their f*8k up. Shame on them and shame on that ill equipped so called technician. I will never in my life go there again. I have been going to Skin 101 since they opened. I have referred MANY CLIENTS to them. I am told in both my spending & referrals that I am one of their BEST customers. I was there with Kat. Now Julie is my go to... this is my first BAD REVIEW TO EVER WRITE ON ANYONE! I purchased lots of packages & spent some nice coin at their Annual Party on October 20, 2015. They had a "computer gliche" & I was unable to get my receipts. I have tried numerous times to get a receipt with my purchases of the day, my returns, the money I paid on account over $900. My purchases for the day were around $1700. I returned about $300 in products & makeup the next day. Had a lot of the stuff already & the colors didn't match my skin tone in bright sunlight, etc. So I owe around $500-600 on account. I went today to settle up. I hadn't before now because I was changing banks. Anyway, I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I was told that I had to speak to Roxy who is out. Too bad so sad...attitude! I asked that she call me ASAP so we could get everything handled. I call back to leave a vm. Told I CANNOT LEAVE ONE...she is going to call me. I say ok...this will just be a follow up to our conversation. No you will have to call back...I cannot or won't? Put you into voicemail? I call back someone in the back answers. I let her know I need to leave a vm for Roxy. I am frustrated...have no idea what's going on...am then TOLD I WILL HAVE TO CALL BACK AGAIN...AND BY THE WAY...STOP BEING SO PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE! WTF? I am ONE OF THEIR BEST LONGTIME CUSTOMERS? AND THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT ME? WOW! I referred my sister in law a physician...they lied to her about the appointment schedule. Make her pay over $185 for consults she doesn't need for her daughters & is told...We are on vacation mode so no facials today...after they told her to come in...and her girls could get facials on July 3rd. It took Roxy months to call & aplogize "because she didn't want to inflame the situation"...again...WTF? TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS...DON'T LIE TO GET THEM IN...& APLOGIZE IN A TIMELY MANNER. I had a bit of a skin emergency; peeling & flaking on my face & a job interview the next day so I called Skin 101 for my first facial ever. Saraya was excellent - she helped me choose the mini clean & brite facial with microdermabrasion and that really helped. She explained every part of the process and made sure I was comfortable during each step. I am 67 and was worried about redness and more peeling of my sensitive skin, but Saraya's treatment definitely helped. Laser hair removal and other treatments are excellent and affordable. I'm using a retinol face cream and a retinol body lotion purchased here - Skin 101's own - and the results are amazing. The acne scars on my face have smoothed significantly in less than a month, and the cellulite on my thighs is greatly improved - very smooth! I've been a customer here for several years. So, I've been on a weeks vacation from work and have gotten to enjoy our pool more than usual and I must say it's been great. But seriously one of the coolest things is my eyebrows look spot on no matter how much swimming I do or how much I sweat (eeewww, sorry. But it's dang hot out! Lol) they don't wash off smear or sweat off! Why? Well, because a while back I had microblading done by Jess at Skin 101! I'd have to say it's one of the best decisions ever! Jess is amazing! She is a true artist, the colors that she and I together chose blends perfectly with my natural brows, which is important because my hair may or may not go through a plethora of color schemes in its lifetime but my brows will always stay true! Jess' artistic ability truly sets her apart from the others. In addition to her natural born talent has an art degree, which enhances that talent and gives her great ability at understanding detailed color. She also has intensive knowledge of anatomy which is great when having to slightly adjust the asymmetry that most of us have. I know this was along winded review but I just felt compelled to leave it after I read the negative review left by another customer. I'm sad that her experience wasn't as joyful as mine, but also don't feel it fair to have only one opinion out here for people to judge from. I'll tell you my experience with Jess and microblading. When I finally made my decision to get my brows done and made my appointment I immediately received my pre procedure information sheet, telling me what to do to prepare for it and what to avoid to have the most successful outcome. I followed these to the T. Then when the day came, Jess went through details of how the procedure would got and got out several pigments and we TOGETHER chose which she would use for me. The microblading went great and was pain free. When I was finished she went over my post care details verbally and gave it to me in writing. She was great at detailing the different stages I would go through as part of the natural healing process. (Which includes a few days right after they're done that you look you drew your brows on with a sharpie!) Lol, my husband and two teenagers were laughing their butts off at me! But just as she said this passed and I experienced all the other stages including having them peel and not being able to "help" the peeling along (if you do you'll get patches of no color). In the end they came out wonderful! I just wish I hadn't waited so long to do it, I wake up everyday with spot on eyebrows. It's awesome!
