I recently had two huge cysts pop up a week before my birthday and trip to Hawaii. I called skin 101 to schedule a consult and sure enough they got me in the same day. I saw the PA, Kathrine and she realllllly knew her stuff. She did an acne treatment and injected both cysts.. that night they were completely gone. She assured me everything would be fine by my trip and she was right. I have some pigment from picking at them before my appointment, but that I can deal with. I have gone to Skin 101 since they opened for facials and love the place. I am not someone who does fillers or laser treatments - nothing invasive for me. The owner knows this and suggested I try out a new noninvasive called Sublime - and all I have to say is WOW!!!!!! This place is not a place I would recommend. They have worse customer service, they think you owe them money, when actually they work for you. For them to get paid you they need to have the customers like us. Beware they charge for everything. $25 dollars when you show up late, $25 dollars if you change your schedule, $3 dollars for sample, everything in skin 101 cost, the customer service does not smile, they make you feel very unwelcome. They scratch my son face so badly. I would never go back to this place. They had no actual doctor only PA and you are paying for doctor service. read more

Stephanie does great facials & is very knowledgeable. However, when I went for a consultation with Brooke she recommended products that did not do well with my skin. When I called to explain that my skin did not react well with the products, Brooke was very rude and unprofessional. I then spoke with Roxie about returning the products & she informed me that they do not take products back. Pease be aware that their products are not cheap & non refundable. I even requested store credit, & that was not an option. Now, I'm out more than $100 & cant even use the product because it irritates my skin. read more

I have been wanting to have my eyebrows micobladed for several years. I looked on line and read reviews about Candace and made an appointment at Skin 101. When I arrived Candace drew an outline on my brow and said she was going to be doing the markings inside those lines. It is really hard to tell by looking at those lines what you are going to end up with. Candace never showed me eyebrow shapes or even asked what I really wanted or expected. During the process I was never once given a mirror to see any progress, or to give my feedback. When she was done she handed me a mirror. All she had really done was place marking under the eyebrow hair I already had. I have pencil thin eyebrows because I grew up in the 60's-70's and that was the style. Remember, I love Lucy? Then I was scheduled for a touch-up. I got home the first thing my husband said was, "it does not look like you got anything done". When I arrived for my 'touch-up', I told Candace that I had wore my eyebrow pencil, so she could see how I wear my eyebrows. Candace said, "that is a whole lot more than a touch-up. You will need to reschedule because I do not have enough time to do that." Then Candace sent me to the salon manager The manager said I would have to pay another $350.00 to have any more done. Later the same day Candace contacted me and said that I could go to the other salon she worked at and she would fix them at no additional cost to me. So I booked another appointment at Tranquil Salon. The day of the appointment she text me cancelling. She said her child was sick and she had to pick her up from school. She never contacted me again to reschedule. In the end; I never even got the touch-up (included in the original price). That might have helped my eyebrows look a little more like I wanted them. I was very disappointed and unhappy with the results and the shabby way this was managed. I would not even let her touch them up for free. I think I am going to go to someone who was recommended by a friend and just get them tattooed. Ladies, SAVE YOUR MONEY. read more

I did the eyebrow microblading in May 2017 with Jessica. She sold me on her artistic talent after speaking with her over the telephone but my outcome was a disaster. She tweezed all the hairs from both of the tips of my brows (I had a decent amount of hair to start with) and then did very uneven strokes with big gaps missing then colored my brows really dark. While healing you should lightly flake off day by day but both the tips of my brows came off in one, big scab and left me with no hair or color on the tips of my eyebrows. The rest was patchy and almost black against my Irish complexion and light brown hair. I was so upset Jessica came to look at my brows two days after my procedure and accused me of lightening my hair because she admitted my color was way too dark for my hair and complexion. She said my hair looked darker in the room. Are you kidding me? I was completely stressed and in tears not knowing what to do so I spent about $150 on growth serums and brow pencils and prayed my hairs would grow back in. I had to pencil in my tips and fill in gaps for 8 weeks and luckily I got some growth back. I still have the problem of the almost black brows which have now turned an ashy color with uneven lines and big gaps with no color. Of course I had no intention of going back to Jessica for the 6 week touch-up because she destroyed my brows. I had more hair and a better brow when I came in and now I have to pay a second person who knows what they are doing to correct her mess. This gal is first going to see if she can get the color out with salt injections which will take about 1.5 hours and then she has to redo the microblading and fix the line and color. When I asked Jessica to simply give me my color and brand used so I could give that info to the gal who is fixing my brows she obviously had her ego ahead of caring about her client and turned nasty and told me if I want her to release my "medical information" I would need to give her an after photo of how my brows look for her file and drive 30 minutes to skin 101 to sign the "medical release form" and pay $50 for the medical release form. I told her the least she can do after me paying her $400 and messing up my brows is give me my colors and let me go in peace to find an expert to fix them. I also told her it is laughable to refer to the color and brand of color used on my brows as "medical information" These are not lab results, it is a color. It was so abusive and ridiculous. I then left a message for Roxie (owner of Skin 101) to call me. She was out of town so I was told to leave her an email and she would respond. She did respond within a few days but went on the same ridiculous path of me sending her an after photo and signing a medical release form. I told her how bad my outcome was and that I was not even requesting a refund but simply my color used and will not provide Jessica with any photo or drive 30 minutes to sign a form and pay $50 for my medical release. She said I did not have to pay the $50 but wanted a photo. I refused to give into Jessica's ego issues and Roxie did not seem to care about the upset she had caused a client of her business. We went back and forth with emails for about a week then Roxie said she would call me but never did. After 2 months of crazy looking brows I am scheduled finally to get them fixed by someone who knows what they are doing at a business who cares about the happiness of their clients and word of mouth. Jessica also told me she is always on time and was 20 minutes late for my appointment with her. This always starts things out poorly because Jessica is then rushing around getting her supplies in order and already behind the clock. She seemed stressed during my appointment and said I was bleeding so much. This seemed to make her anxious as well and she kept blotting the blood with the same tiny tissue over and over instead of getting a new, clean one. She seemed very much like an amateur and clearly has not done this long enough. The gal who is correcting my brows also does brow shaping for her clients on a regular basis so she make a good point in that people like Jessica only see you the two times for her appointment and the brows should look great after the initial blading (mine did not but they are supposed to). She also said if I was bleeding quite a bit, Jessica most likely used a blade which was too large or went too deep. Jessica does not see what the client's brows look like a few months later. This gal sees her clients for all types of brow and lash procedures so she knows how colors can turn. She also said Jessica must be using the cheaper colors by the look of how my color turned ashy and blueish. She said you have to invest in the expensive colors so you don't have that outcome. This was the absolute worst experience ever. Like another reviewer wrote some of the front desk staff needs to be trained that their job is customer service. One of the girls at the front was very nice and polite but other one had the most condescending attitude. That is only the start of my bad experience then I had the misfortune to have a consultation with Brooke. This is the most condescending and patronizing physician's assistant I have ever encountered. Her attitude was one of superiority and the consultation she gave me focused on their fees rather than abt treating my issue with my breakouts. My son was a client a few years back and we were delighted with the staff and services but today was a complete opposite experience. Brooke's attitude and tone really makes you want to lose your manners on her. She conducts her consultations with the rudest demeanor ever and with her arms crossed over her chest in a very negative and hostile tone. It is a terrible thing that a staff member could tarnish my experience at this facility. Management needs to educate people like Brooke on the concept that customers are the reason to have the facility running. A customer's support and endorsement is what each staff member should aim to accomplish. I not only will never return but I will ensure that I express my review of this facility on any medium so that no one else has the misfortune to have to deal with Brooke. read more
