He helped me find a replacement for our usual Kaluha coffee and rum liquor. The kikisi did not disappoint! So smooth and delish! We walked in with an empty cart and left with about 20 bottles including several $5 deals on some pretty epic Italian and French wines. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's bad. Restocked our liquor cabinet too all for less than $300. Shop the sales. Or don't if that's your jam. Either way you're getting a deal. Sign up for the rewards program. A friend and I decided to learn a little more about Scotch specifically Glen Moran Scotch from overseas. Heading upstairs away from the main floor we were brought into a large room with a couple of chairs to each table; ample space for many people to participate. For $15 we were given a sampling of bites from Bistro on Main, a Manchester local ranging from things like cheese and crackers to a salmon spread on a cucumber to steak and arugula with a delicious sauce on a toasted bread to even chocolate mousse in an edible chocolate cup. All that was before the tasting itself. We were treated to the range of Glen Moran Scotch starting with the classic, a nice introduction into scotch before moving to a port and even a 18 year old scotch. We had a couple additions to the 6 that was in front of us with each one being different and unique from the last one. We were educated on how scotch is made, drank and appreciated. The group was very interactive asking questions which made the night fun as we learned and drank. I'm glad that I came across a random add for M&R and their events and look to check back on their website for other events. Next week is a Beer Tasting event and they aim to support local non profits and even the Children's Medical Center. A win/win there for me.
