Updated Review:…read more We've been coming to the park for years and really enjoy what Oak Grove has to offer. The park is huge with a huge walking path. Great for running and walking. They also have fitness stations spread along the path for you to use. There is a big pond where you can fish. Lots of space to fish from. There are baseball fields, an archery range, and lots of green space they use for sports. There is also a large dog park in the back. There are some picnic shelters around and they usually have porta potties throughout the park. The playground is cool and different then other parks. Lots of climbing options, but a small play area for kids to walk around on. There are a lot of slides though. I also appreciate they have more swings as those are my kids favorite. There is also lots of parking available.

I have witnessed several incidents of owners beating their dogs at this park (kicking and whipping with leashes) and two different people have came up to my dog and beat him while he was playing because "he looks mean." Both a man and a woman beat him while other people stood by and did nothing to help stop the abuse. When people beat their own dogs, it seems like no one else cares. These incidents have been reported to park headquarters and I hope further investigation is done. I will never feel safe for myself or my dogs at this park until some sort of security or protection is instituted.

Take off that leash and let 'em run!…read more This is a great, and big, park for your dogs. They have three, or four, separate enclosures for the dogs to run. They're also categorized by the size of your dog or they have the big open section for any dogs. There are some obstacle type fixtures for the dogs to climb on and a few trees here and there for them to sniff around. There aren't many seating areas, but there are some and there are some covered seating areas as well for dog humans to sit and watch their furry friends running around and making new friends. It's a bit of a winding road to get there, but follow the signs and you'll find it. It's nice and quiet and your dogs are surely to have a good time. A few notes: - Occasionally they block out sections to allow the grass to grow. This is great and ensures there's always some nice green grassy areas to let your pups run. They take very good care of the grounds as well. - They have double entrances so you can reduce the chances of a breakout. - Keep your dog on a leash until you get into an actual enclosure. It doesn't matter if your perfect dog would never run. Others may. Also, don't be so sure that your perfectly trained pooch won't make a dash for a new excited friend they've never met. That overstimulation can be unpredictable when around a group of other dogs. - They have some drinking fountains for dogs as well. Bring your own bowl if you want to reduce any disease transmissions. - There are poop-bags available and garbage cans for your full bags. Your dog will poop. It's that simply. Bring your own bags if you have them. If you don't, there should be some there. - Clean up after your dog! I shouldn't have to explain this but you need to remember, dogs are running around here and so are their humans. Sure, you may miss one here or there, but for the sake of everyone else, try to clean up after your dog. If you're too good to do that, stay home. It prevents a mess as well as diseases. - If your dog doesn't play well with others, stay home or leave. We literally were coming in once and some people who were already there had a bit of a rambunctious dog. The dogs owner said, "you might want to be careful...he doesn't do well with other dogs". I looked at that as someone who is fatally lactose intolerant walking into an ice cream shop. Don't be ridiculous. This is a public dog park. If Cujo doesn't play well with others, YOU find somewhere else to go. Wiggly Field is free. Let's keep it that way. Take care of this gem and it will take care of your four legged little buddies. Would I go back? Yes. We go here as often as possible. Our little one loves it. She doesn't get to be around too many dogs so this is always a good time.

The park has benches and some shelters for shade. Some agility equipment for the dogs to play on and climb over is here and it's in good shape. They also have plastic "mutt mitt" dispensers and owners are expected to pick up after their dog. The signs show the rules which include a requirement for current vaccinations and a collar. The owners must remain with the dogs and carry a leash though of course the dogs are off leash. The city/county assume no responsibility for injuries from other dogs so keep an eye out for aggression from others. [Review 18018 overall - 164 in Ohio - 1539 of 2022.]

Wiggly Field - A dip in the water fountain? I didn't tell em to get in. Don't worry, I splashed the water out after.

It's truly a big, happy place for dogs! I've never seen so many happy dogs. Literally running, frolicking, rolling around enjoying themselves. Not only were the pets enjoying themselves, the owners were too. It has a real sense of community. People were friendly, they knew each other and each others pets. Very cool! What's really nice is the creative use of land. This was once a landfill. Don't worry, there are no foul odors! There are three areas. Two smaller areas, one with training equipment, a regular sized area and a huge hill. When I say huge, I also mean steep. This is a really steep hill. Luckily you have the option of staying on the flat areas where the two other enclosed areas are. All areas are grassy, offer seating and water. What's also nice is the walking path. The paved path is lengthy enough (6 acres of park space) to where it is great exercise for both owners and pets. The only downside is the hill is so big that you can lose sight of your dog. My dog was enjoying herself so much, she ran off with a pack of playful dogs. She never does this. I definitely got my exercise looking for her. So for exercise, a chance to meet other dog lovers I strongly suggest visiting this park. If you see a large friendly white labradoodle playing around, you've come at a great time. He's very playful!

The Park is adjacent to The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center on Webster St. Exit 62 on I 75.The Park is divided into three connecting sections plus has an agility course. Water is available throughout the Park. You can always help out filling the buckets! Normal rules apply. No dogs in heat. No aggressive dogs. No dogs under 4 months - dogs need to be vaccinated. As with many dog parks, there are the regulars. Most are welcoming. Most people are well versed in dog behaviors and don't freak out when dogs wrestle and play. The Park is large and your dog can run! Not to say that the dogs won't ignore all the space and play around your feet instead! The Park is built on an old ash mound as the County incinerated trash for decades. Because of that, there is little shade available as trees cannot be planted. There is a gazebo structure at top with tables. DO NOT BRING FOOD into Park. All tables and agility equipment are made from recycled materials. Great re-use of space.
