Closed on Monday and Tuesday but open at 6:30 am until 11:00 or so, may sell out early. One of the special finds for me was the Strawberry Croissant Cannoli. A light crispy pastry with just enough strawberry cream cheese filling, not stuffed but enough to give you the creamy flavorful taste you want. Strawberries on top. The perfect light pastry you are looking for. Has interesting combinations of toppings on a variety of donuts. I understood he will be introducing Abel skiver pastries soon. A Danish style, of both baked cake style ( lighter than fried) and a filled type of round pastry. I am hoping for a dark chocolate covered yeast donut with crispy bacon pieces and smoked sea salt sprinkles. It will be awesome! While placing my order, I did ask if they had any gluten-free food options as I am gluten-free but the barista advised nothing was available which is quite unfortunate for a coffee shop these days. Over the years I've heard so many people speak on how wonderful the food is. I ordered a KC strip medium rare w/ fries & had a side of broccoli. My wife ordered the catfish bites. My steak had grill flavor. As far as seasoning goes: bland. My wife's catfish was seasoned well. She was pleased w/ her meal. Kyle, our waiter asked how our meal was. I was honest & told him my steak was not seasoned. At this point I believe he felt to no longer ask us if we needed refills. He walked past our table several times checking up on the table sitting behind us. A $15-$20 tip he could have easily had if he had kept our drinks refilled & showed presence turned into an $8.00 tip. I will go as far to say that I would have considered revisiting the establishment & ordering something else. I also take into account that it's a bar & grill. I imagine if I would have ordered chicken fingers & fries under the same circumstances I would be more-apt to return. So a lesson to myself is to not order a steak at a bar & grill. As for the atmosphere. It' has good south-end hometown vibes. Not again, unfortunately.
