This has to be my most favorite place to pick blueberries. It's a treasure trove located north of Seattle. The blueberries are big as quarters even the little ones are sweeeet! I've spent a lot of time checking out different blueberry farms this year during Covid and used picking as my self care time. Before I knew it, I picked 32 pounds within two hours! That's just how lush and plentiful their bushes are unlike other picked over farms. Everything from the set up to staff was an awesome experience. I love that you wash your hands prior to entering and can do it post picking. Because let's be honest - picking blueberries can get messy. This is definitely my go-to from now on!! The berries are organic and worth the drive. If you're willing to do the drive, it's honestly worth it!

I love the customer service provided by this blueberry farm! Friendly, helpful and informative. They've made the blueberry picking experience easy and enjoyable. The blueberries were of high quality and they were huge! They also offer refreshments....Lopez Island Creamery ice cream

A beautiful bunch of juicy Reka blueberrys

Hazel blue Acres is a beautiful family owned and operated farm in Silvana Washington. They are open September through June with shortened winter hours when there are no fresh berries available although the frozen berries they sell during this time are just as delicious. The busiest time for the farm though is in the summer from early July through the end of August when there are three varieties of certified organic blueberries are right and ready for picking.

This was the most amazing and successful blueberry picking experience I have ever had. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They walked us out to field and showed us how to pick. They supplied us with buckets and harness to make berry picking easier than ever before. The bushes were chock full of berries which made it simple to pick. I had 5 lbs of berries in under 5 minutes. Wow! I will be back again for next years harvest and I am telling all my friends about it. They have created a very loyal customer.

My husband and I picking in July. Love this place!

Such an awesome place! The people are GREAT, the blueberries are so flavorful and it's just overall a fun place. I've been 3 times this summer and I am very excited for the fall so I can go pick hazelnuts too. These blueberries are unlike any other I've ever tasted. And picking them yourself makes them taste that much better too!

    Blueberry Heaven!

Today I stopped in to pick up some Blueberries. They are the nicest, fattest berries. Thank you so much! I will be back soon!

Fun and family friendly activity! I love going during strawberry picking season/check their website…read morefor what produce are in season. Paying by the lb, they provide boxes and cartons.

We visited Bailey Family Farm on the very first day of strawberry picking for the year (Jun 1)…read moreright after lunch. They had their fields filled with their earliest variety, Sweet Sunrise, with tons and tons of gigantic berries ready for harvest. When I say tons, I mean it - each plant was flush with berries, and it barely took us 30 minutes to basically fill up our entire flat. They also had a limited number of Shuksan and Rainier strawberries, and some barely ripe Totems available for U Pick. We ended up picking an entire box with Sweet Sunrise and two smaller pints of Shuksan and Rainier. Sweet Sunrise - These are a deep crimson red both inside and out. They are large (averaging around 33g each), but large doesn't necessarily mean better. In this case, the taste is kind of diluted down by the amount of water inside. The most ripe and soft ones are sweet and fragrant, but the vast majority are somewhat diluted in flavor. Even the sourness is dilute. The berries are mostly soft and tender. These are still really great strawberries, but are more muted in flavor compared to some of the smaller varieties. Shuksan - This is the 2nd time I've eaten Shuksans and the 2nd time I've been a little disappointed. These are medium size berries, coming in at around 15.5g each. They are extremely sour, making me pucker with every bite. They are also quite a bit firmer than the other two strawberries, even the darker crimson ones. Quite possibly it's too early in the season for these. I'll have to come back later to try more. These have the most lumps and mutant individuals with tons of multiple fused berries. Rainier - This is probably my 2nd favorite variety of strawberry after Hoods (last year, I ate half a flat every week when these were available). It's really early in the season, so there weren't too many available for us to pick. The ones that we were able to locate fill the mouth with a delightful, strong and potent strawberry fragrance. Unfortunately most are quite a bit on the sour side - the ones in the coming weeks will probably be more sweet. Size is by far the smallest, coming in at around 12g per. The berries are really soft and teeth slice through them like warm butter. They are more acidic and are the only strawberry variety to cause me some stomach issues. We visited again the following Monday and the plants were noticeably skimpier. The leftover Sweet Sunrise were only a third the size of previous, and mostly not as ripe. There were more ripe Shuksans, Totems, Rainiers, and even some Tillamooks, Puget Crimsons, and Mary's Peaks ready. Just some quick notes for these: Tillamook - 24.4g avg, 6.2 brix, varying shape, awful variety, even the super red ones are ridiculously sour. Even beyond the sour, they taste awful. The juice is sour, bitter, nasty, the worst. Puget Crimson - 35.8g avg, 8.2 brix, caps really easily, didn't pick a single strawberry where the cap stayed on. Very conical in shape. Really dark red color. Stronger flavor than tillamook and more sweet, but still quite sour. Expected more flavor for being so dark red. Juice is dark in color, no particular distinguishing characteristics. Mary's Peak - 18.8g avg, 8.4 brix, leaves stay attached, some even have stems. Mostly conical in shape but some wider. Really noticeable seeds, can feel them protruding out of the skin. Very pronounced sweeter but mild flavor, some grassy notes. Juice has some candy element like pixie sticks but more sour. Really love the juice. Sweet Sunrise - 17.2g avg, 7.3 brix, half the size of the ones picked the previous week and not nearly as good. Not as ripe I guess so they don't cap nearly as easily. Deep red color, but more sour than sweet. Shuksan - 17.6g avg, 8 brix, Lumpy strawberries, lots of them fused together into big half moon shapes. Great flavor complexity, nasal, strong strawberry flavor, a little perfumey. More stem quality in the flavor, vegetal not bitter, probably because the pith/stem area stays attached more. Juice normal and bright. I liked these way more than the previous week. Rainier - 12.2g avg, 9.5 brix, most of the ripe ones have holes in them from birds and slugs. Aromatic, sweet but sour. Super perfumey elements. Best in flavor. Juice astringent surprisingly not as sweet as the brix would imply, more acidic instead. I like eating the whole berry more than juiced. Thanks to Bailey Farm having so many varieties, this kind of turned into a little science experiment. What else can I say other than that I will definitely be back next year for more strawberries. As a side note: I really wish farms grew Hood strawberries around here. Maybe we just don't have the right climate and soil for that variety? Those are my favorite by far, with the most sweetness (one batch I measured this year when down in Portland was 16 brix!) and best flavor complexity.

I have to say I love giving an establishment a good review, but I was reluctant to post this one…read morebecause I kind of wanted to keep it my little secret. But I also want to help their farm with a good review because this place is fantastic. They definitely deserve a glowing review. In the end I had to do the right thing and post my review, because I cannot say enough good things about this place. First of all, when you arrive there was enough parking for everyone that was out there. When we walked in there was a really nice lady who explained how the berry picking worked and what rows we could go in. She recommended a few aisles and it was awesome. There were some play places for the kids as well and they loved it. There was one area where if you paid $5, there was a bouncy pad that the kids could jump on. There was also a little place where they had some bunnies hanging out under a little bush. They were so cute. Now for the real review. These berries were awesome. My friend told me how huge these berries were and how sweet they are. I thought, is she for real? I thought she was exaggerating. But she wasn't! These berries were huge and sweet and oh so good! I couldn't believe it. I made a blueberry pie and it came out really good! You could taste the freshness of the berries. I loved it! I am definitely going back there again and after coming here, I'm not sure if I can go to any other blueberry farm. Even the kids who were a little reluctant could not stop going from bush to bush picking berries. I think my 8 year old son picked about 5 pounds by himself! We ended up with 21 points of blueberries! Not to worry. They will be gone by next weekend. OK. Now that I posted my review, don't forget to leave some blueberries for me.

I am ALL for buying local, and if you can afford it, this spot could be perfect for you... I think most will find it's not the most affordable. Example-- they are selling a box of apples for $35 but you could easily buy 20 pounds of apples for $20 from many of the local families in Stanwood/Mt Vernon/ Arlington. Garlic bulbs at Garden treasures are 20$ a pound-- again, you can get boxes of garlic bulbs for much cheaper from other nearby family farms. I could go on. Again, if you can afford it, this is a cool one stop shop for good crops. For my family (we are farmers too) it's just way too expensive/ not a good bang for your buck at all... especially in this economy. My suggestion is-- look to FB marketplace for amazing deals on seasonal crops, you'll get a lot more for your dollar and you're still shopping local.

Besides produce, they also have local cheese and snacks along with a couple of grocery items. We didn't go into the nursery but the bouquet arrangements and potted flowers were beautiful.
