There was a lot of rusted paint cans and flammable liquids just sitting around my moms house. Instead of making numerous trips to waste drop off center I decided to call Hazaway. They came by and separated everything into various waste categories. The representative was extremely friendly and we were able to dispose of everything. Thank you for saving us time, gas and storage. The price was competitive considering the haul. read more

I am on this planet for only borrowed time and because of that I want to leave it as clean as possible. My focus is to recycle and reuse. If I can have Hazaway take my discards to recycle or dispose of safely, then I will every time! The young men who came to my house were responsive, professional and courteous. I was able to get "rid" of many household items as well as e-waste. I could not be more pleased with the service. Thank you! read more

I was searching for a company that hauls away old paint cans and found HazAwayToday.com on Yelp and I'm so glad I did! I had a ton of old paint cans with paint in them that needed to be properly disposed of that was just sitting in our garage for years. I made an appointment online and the guys called me the day after and came out the same day to haul away! Kyle and his teammate were fast, friendly, and efficient and followed all the safety protocols during this pandemic with gloves, masks and physical distancing. They even implemented "touchless payment" which I was impressed by. They were in and out within 15 minutes! Great service, honest pricing, and would recommend them to anyone who needs to properly dispose of hazardous materials for residential or business purposes. Thank you, HazAwayToday! Would definitely use their service again! read more

We contacted the company to see if they could help take away hazardous materials at our residential home. Marcie worked with us to arrange a time and date. Her customer service was top notch. The team was able to come out the same day that she contacted us to confirm our appointment. Kevin and Jacob, the company's representatives, came, weighed the items, and took them away. They were diligent, friendly, and awesome. Thank you, Haz Away, for great service! read more

arrived at the time they specified and driver was polite and efficient. Very informative also. Will definitely use them again.

Hi. I was not sure if this was a good idea, but it was and I'm pleased. They took the paint cans away. The contractor left the cans in my yard about a year ago. The price was fair. I recommend this business. I live in Los Angeles near Crenshaw and they service this area too. read more

Took over three hours for a service call. No sense of urgency. No warning on time required. No detailed receipt. No explanation of process for final bill. read more

If you are looking for a solution to remove hazardous materials, old paint cans (empty and partially dried), and corrosive items from your garage or storage bin, look no further. This company is by far the best! I was tired of trying to wait for a town or County location to open and accept these items. They never were open when they said they would be. Never staffed "due to COVID".....(still ?) This company is professional, and full service. Marcie is the receptionist who is always positive and handles the review of client needs. When she says "we are coming tomorrow" ,she means business! Kevin Escalante was the technician she sent. He was 10 star amazing in being able to communicate about care and maintenance in hauling items away. They have little turnover because they are so well managed. They are just a phone call away from their chemist if there is any questions on the properties they will remove from your house. This was the best company I have ever sourced from YELP- hand's down. read more

Dealing with Haz Away Today is a pleasure. I have used them 3 times. They have always called to confirm and arrived on time. Each time the team has been professional, efficient, and an absolute joy to deal with. Jacob and Todd are terrific. This is the "go to" company for hazardous items no one else will take. To top it off, their rates are very reasonable. What more could you ask for? If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thank you for being there. read more

They were on time and efficient. Super knowledgeable and helped me to make sure was my house was free of chemicals for my babies!

HazAwayToday is a wonderful company and was able to get rid of my old paint fast. I was very please with fast they answered my inquiry and were available for same day pick up. Haz Away Today - 3 years old, 5 gallon paint - Hazardous Waste Disposal Near Me - El Segundo, California

I used this company to dispose of old paint and old pool chemicals that were large and bulky and too complicated for us to get rid of ourselves. They were clear, prompt and very professional. Javier and Todd were the technicians who worked with us and both were very knowledgeable and efficient. They took the time to make sure that everything was done carefully and responsibly. Would definitely highly recommend read more

This company has great customer service. I had some toxic household stuff that smelled too disgusting to put in my car. I went online and clicked on a pick up time that day. I was immediately emailed to confirm and then the tech, Javier called to ask if he could come an hour early which was fine. Two came, and unfortunately I don't know the other's name. Both were polite and skilled and quick. They tested the stuff with litmus paper and separated out combustibles, weighed and left very quickly and efficiently . Definitely will use again. read more

My parents had accumulated a number of hazardous waste materials over the years: old paint cans, pesticides, weed killer, and household cleaning products. I wanted to find a safe and efficient way to dispose of the products and discovered, via Yelp, the company Haz Away Today. This service is great. The technician arrived, sorted the waste, weighed it, and took it away. I was pleased with the experience and glad that such a service exists. I recommend Haz Away Today to anyone looking for an easy way to correctly dispose of this type of waste. read more

What an incredibly friendly company to work with. I called early this morning after I was notified that 1-800-GOT-JUNK could not haul away paint, batteries and fluorescent bulbs as they are hazardous waste. They gave me a number for HazAwayToday and Ryan answered the phone. He was very informative and within a few minutes he was able to schedule someone out same day and would contact me to give me a time window on when a technician could be at my store. Not even ten minutes later, I had a text that Andrew would be out from 1-3pm and that he would call me 30 minutes out. Around 12:30, Andrew called to let me know he was going to be at my store in about 45 minutes. When he arrived, he walked me through universal waste and other waste that must be researched before they could take, this was mostly spray paint cans because they are aerosol. Andrew got hard to work weighing 7 years worth of paint and a fluorescent fixture that weighed 50-70lbs each! He had communicated well with his headquarters, and they ended up being able to research on the spot and he was able to take the other items too! He was friendly and patient while working in a tight corridor. I was completely blown away at the level of service HazAwayToday provided. The process was absolutely seamless and expedient. Having this waste gone has given my store much needed space back. Thank you to Ryan and Andrew for providing great service, you have certainly won over my business. read more

Very VERY Polite, accurate, affordable, helpful, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE & communication!!!!! They show up when they say they are gonna show up!!! In this day and age it's so refreshing to get such admirable service!!! Thank you for making a yucky job easy read more

Awesome!!! This company did an amazing job for us. A family member recently passed and he was somewhat of a hoarder. There was over 400 lbs of paint and other chemicals. They sorted it all and got the job done quickly. We had included a few things that were not considered hazardous and he took them out so we were not charged for them. I felt like he was always looking for ways to keep the cost down. I highly recommend Hazawaytoday.com! They solved what we believed was going to be a huge problem. read more

Highly recommend this company if you have old paint or stains in your shed or garage that need to be recycled. I had about 30 cans of old paint in a shed that a previous owner left when I purchased my house. They came out in a few days, sorted, weighed the paint and off it went. Super friendly service rep and I got a discount by helping him load the paint into his vehicle. read more

I went down to my county hazardous waste disposal site and realized they are closed every Monday. Haz Away Today came out the same day and their customer service and pickup service were both impressively outstanding. It's rare that I see this level of excellence. read more

Hazawaytoday was very thorough and expedient in communicating with me after my online service request. My garage and garden items were responsibly and ethically taken care of when HazAwayToday's very sassy van pulled along my driveway, weighed and whisked away a homeowners nightmare: what to do with all the years worth of home and garden care and maintenance products, ie paint, cleansers, degreasers, etc. wonder no more! Easy, quick, responsive and affordable. Highly recommend this professional, pleasant and organized company!! read more

I didn't have a huge amount of hazmat but I did have more than I could figure out how to get rid of. Andrew showed up and did a great job I was just a super bright car. The hazmat is gone and I'm thrilled. read more

I had motor oil in 3 five gallon containers in my back yard and it needed them to be removed. I looked and found Haz Away Today in El Segundo. I'm in Orange County. I don't normally take the time to write reviews but I wanted to take the time this time. This company is absolutely amazing and professional. I came across a cooler and container full of what ended up being a total of over 100lbs of motor oil! I had no idea how to handle it other than I knew I needed it cleaned and disposed of properly and I was not equipped to do it. I called their number and was answered immediately. I was told that while I was not in their normal territory, they would make an exception if I was willing to be flexible. What I didn't expect was that flexible to them was that they were going to be at the location the next morning (less than 24 hours later) ready and willing to clean up and help me out. The gentleman who came called and gave me a 30 minute warning that he was arriving so it gave me plenty of time to be ready. I was up and ready and when he arrived he was professional, kind and just an all around wonderful person to work with. He even saved me from what appeared to be Shelob (a giant spider). If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you again! Amazing service. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

Thank you Hazaway for being such a reliable, friendly, and speedy service. Hazaway has helped us two times. Daniel and Kevin were so efficient and friendly. Their company saved us multiple trips to the dump! Thanks again. read more

I was actually referred to Ryan and HazAway by one of his competitors. I was calling around for quotes and they let me know that they were busy right now, but that they actually use his services for their own disposal. That's one way to get rid of the middleman! Overall, the experience with Ryan was top notch and highly professional. I would 100% use his services again. read more

We had a small spill of mercury when I unpacked what turned out to be a broken antique blood pressure machine that had belonged to my late father, a physician. Trying to find a business that would remove the contaminated items (i.e., 3 rugs, the boxes, a vacuum cleaner & a small haz waste bucket) was a nightmare! Most vendors serve industry and the pricing, at $3,500+, was insane!!! I was so glad to find HazAway because they were the only business that provides service to residential clients and the price was right at only $900. Marci kept me informed as the HazAway team researched the necessary protocols for lawful disposal. And when Andrew arrived for the pickup, he was on time, quick and friendly. I hope never to need this service again, but I highly recommend HazAway to everyone who does! -- Carla F. read more

I can't say enough about the service I received from Andrew today in the removal of our hazardous materials. Calling and scheduling the appointment couldn't have been easier and I was offered a next day appointment which is pretty rare these days. Andrew was extremely communicative about and flexible in his timing and he kept me aprised of the situation at every step. The payment and calculations of waste by the pound was so transparent and convenient. It's so worth the money to know that it's being disposed of properly and safely and that now the garage is free of dangerous chemicals! read more

This is not a service that you need every day. It's one that you do before you're going to move or you're doing a big major clean. You don't know what to do with all those paint cans and chemicals that have been hiding in your garage. This is the company to call. They were upfront and honest about costs. They were kind and courteous and extremely professional. They came out here got the job done and took off. They recycle and reuse everything responsibly to help save our planet and that is what I loved. This is an excellent company. I highly recommend and will always remember them and recommend when I hear somebody needs this type of service. Great job guys well done! read more

Great experience with this company. I scheduled the appointment online, they arrived on-time, and Evan, the technician who picked up my stuff, was smart, energetic, well educated on environmental stuff, and very transparent about how weight totals and costs were being tabulated. Awesome experience, great company, and it fills a civic need too, since these disposal sites are not conveniently located, if you try to do it yourself. read more

These guys are awesome!! Uber professional from start to finish-as well as kind and extremely polite. They came and took all the old paint away from the back area of my yard and a bunch of other chemicals from my garage. They had no problem with the fact that the cans were full of dust/dirt (and maybe had a few spiders). Did you know they also take E-waste? The driver offered to take a box of E-waste off our hands for free! Without reservation, I recommend using this company. read more

My husband and I were looking for an easy way to dispose of a cellphone battery charger given to us as a gift (it quite frankly looked more suspicious than helpful!). Making sure we were responsible in it's disposal, I came across Hazawatoday. The website was easy to use and we booked an appointment for pickup. Process was easy, simple and worry free. No exploding batteries for this gal. One thing I have to note though, there was a small glitch in the website which didn't schedule the pick up the first time and the email on the site seemed to bounce back. However if you call the customer service line, they are extremely helpful and attentive. I would recommend going through that channel first. Charge depends on quantity that requires disposal; minimum charge starts at $89. read more

My husband contacted this delivery service to remove computers, etc, that we had taking up room in our garage. The guys who showed up were very friendly and did as promised. The only suggestion I would make is allow customers to pick their preferred method of contact. We thought it would be via email so we were out walking the dogs when they arrived, but luckily the guys waited. Would definitely use this company, again! read more
