Well, this is a great place to come if you've got a boat. Huge lake with stunning scenery unlike…read morewhat you normally see at lakes. The ramps to launch your boat are reasonably spacious and they even have a kayak launch which I was excited to see. I have friends that catch fish here regularly, so I know it has some decent fishing too. We came to spin the kids around on a hot day. They had so much fun and getting in when the heat got out of hand was refreshing. I did t explore too much, but it didn't look like the campground had too much shade, on a hot day you may get not want to be there. Down by the docks they had a nice beach for swimmers and they had restrooms, which were just put toilets, not a fan. Other than that, I will definitely be back here.

If coming from the Bend area, It quite literally is located over a cliff. There is a very, very narrow, and steep decent on a 2 Lane road that takes you down into the middle of a ravine. You drive along the perimeter of the ravine across a bridge and up and over the other side of the ravine until you follow the road to the campsite. Our GPS did not direct us properly to the campsite and the road was so narrow with no signs pointing us in the right direction. There was a moment of dread thinking we were going the wrong way when our GPS said we had arrived but we were in the middle of the road with no turn off. It was an act of faith to keep on going until the road finally delivered us at the campsite on the other side of the ravine. The campsite was well-maintained and had a lot of staff in the form of Park rangers to assist with check-in, selling firewood and ice, and maintenance. Each site had a paved driveway to park on. They have fire rings and picnic tables, with a decent amount of space between sites.

Unfortunately they didn't have many gluten free options for breakfast. The pool could also use a revamp... BUTT i will say they have lots of fun activities for kiddos and pizza delivery to your site (no gluten free pizza)! We enjoyed sifting through rocks and collecting gems! The stuff must have to deal with lots of people who don't know common sense while camping. The one staff member seemed like she was just all about the rules, spouting them off like I was not a well camped person. I chalked it up to who she has to deal with. They have an ice cream social but unlike other Koa's the fee was $2.50 one scoop and $5.00 two scoops..... I got two scoops well that was foolish on my part. They gave me a pint of ice cream. Excellent value for the price of you ask me. All you can eat breakfast was offered however I didn't get it but it smelled really good. Just get the tokens for the extras in the general store. The food truck doesn't take payment. Well worth the sunset. Enjoy!

When we showed up to our site and started…read moreto set up we were informed while setting up our tents that we had a "public trail" going directly through our campsite, allowing other individuals staying in the campground to awkwardly walk through our campsite. The funny part is, this so called trail is hardly visible to the eye and went absolutely no where other than to some random sink under a cover. One of the individuals staying with us went to ask a camp host a question (around 5pm), and was told "I'm off duty" instead of taking a few minutes to simply provide good hospitality, they let it be known that they were being inconvenienced and didn't make any efforts in helping direct our questions to another host that may have been "on duty"...should I mention they only tried asking a question since they saw the host walking by (If someone smiles and says hello would they have said they're off duty?) The fire pit in our campsite was so awkwardly placed next to the parking pad and some random wood fence that you could maybe have a total of two chairs next to it. As for showers, not one of us was even able to see them. Do to COVID they may have had a change with hours (No problem!) but 10am - 6pm...really? it made it impossible for any of us to even shower simply because we ended up driving the 30 minutes to a different day use because even the swimming area is so small and crummy. I have been coming to campgrounds in this area since I was a child but I really have to say this place is a complete joke. As for the site it's self, maybe it would be okay for a trailer or RV but they should advertise it when someone is making reservations because I plan on letting others know to save their time and money to enjoy camping at other near by parks that have friendly camp host, showers available and a firepit that's able to be enjoyed. Everyone who joined us on this trip left very disappointed.
