Our interaction lasted longer than scheduled yet they never once broke away from being present with us to check watches or cell phones. For reasons beyond the scope of a review, we opted not to use their services for the sale of a Sparr Heights property yet, to our pleasant surprise, Carey provided constant feedback and support when we experienced the pains accompanied of far inferior salesmanship of a property manager. It perplexed us as to how Carey could be so kind in an industry which struck us as cutthroat, to quell our anxieties by text and phone when clearly consumed by commitments that actually paid commission. That alone made it simple for us when the home to which we were emotionally attached had arrived at the time it had to be sold. This transaction would mark the 9th for us in the real estate market over the years and never before had one been as seamlessly smooth as this. I can't believe you opened with a "not consistent" argument. This will be fun. I came to you for the only reason anyone seeks out an agent--you have a monopoly over the forms. If you are so confident in your value add, then ask your profession to drop its defense of the anti-trust suit on this very subject. Your next line of defense seems to be "you were just having a bad day." ROFLMAO. Nobody told you to get the answers within 2 phone calls on a Saturday. Are you telling me that after all your years of experience, you don't know how to politely say that you don't have the answer but will work on getting them? Moreover, we were communicating via text when you abruptly said, "That's none of your business!" There's no excuse for that. You could easily have taken some time out to collect yourself instead of letting out that brain fart. As for fiduciary duty, perhaps you need a refresher course. Shall I arrange a discussion with the Department of Real Estate? (Fact check--your listing that supposedly had several offers didn't close for another 5+ months at a reduced price. That doesn't sound like such a hot listing to me.) It's rather disingenuous for you to portray yourself as so concerned about people's privacy when the first thing you asked me was how I found out about La Canada. Now that is truly none of your business. Or do you fancy yourself as some sort of gatekeeper? I actively invest in this area, so I'm sure our paths will cross again. It's been my experience that putting your house on the market is never enjoyable. It's a ton of work getting it into shape to show, and once you do there are a lot of concerns and expectations. The whole process can be very stressful. What I learned this time out-- going with Carey and Andy-- is that it doesn't have to be. These guys know what they're doing. In addition to their knowledge and track record as top agent/brokers in the area, they each possess a unique set of skills that perfectly complement one another. In selecting a realtor, we interviewed a number of realtors and selected Carey to represent us. Carey was the only realtor to come fully prepared for the meeting with a completed package of relevant comp information on recent sales and current listings in La Canada. Other realtors simply met with us and wanted to submit a proposal later which is not what you want when you want to list your home, and time is of the essence. During our meeting Carey toured our home and provided valuable advice regarding staging without us having to hire a staging professional. Carey wanted to know what our plans would be after we sold our home. She sensed our concern with how important it was for us to find suitable rental accommodation. She advised that she would be able to assist us with locating rental accommodations in the area.
