I ordered 8 yards of mulch to be delivered on a Thursday for my weekend project, which was delivered on Thursday. The mulch seemed a higher quality than the double ground they claimed. It looks more like triple. It lays nice. Reasonable price too. I recommend them for mulch. read more

I recently had some trimming work done on a few oak trees. There was no access for a lift so they needed to climb the trees. I had an Haymaker estimator come out and he gave me a two to six hour range. When I asked why such a wide range he stated, "Well sometimes it takes an hour to throw the rope in the tree and the guys will sometimes forget tools at the shop and they have to leave and get them. This bothered me and questioned using them. The Haymaker office called and asked if I was going to use them and I brought up what the estimator told me. She said that the crews are professional and efficient so I decided to go with them. That was a costly mistake. Keep in mind the shop is less than a mile from my house. They showed up about a half an hour before sunrise and sat in the trucks for the sun to rise. They had two climbers and two ground men. The one climber started but the second one was fooling around hanging upside down on the rope and took an hour to start the job. The first climber finished his work and the second climber and groundsman started working. Meanwhile the first climber and groundsman was just standing around. It looked like the staged the work to take much more hours to finish. They actually slowed down everything to take three hours. I told my wife I bet the want to charge for three hours even though it was easily done in two hours. And to my surprise when I got the bill it was three and a half hour. I called the office to complain and they said they charge for travel time. I told they I lived less than a mile away from the shop. They shaved off the half an hour but I feel I was charged an extra hour do to purposely staging the work between two independent crews and they standing around until the clock showed three hours. Just be careful of small jobs with an unspecified duration. They run up the clock on purpose. They also snapped off one of my yard lights as they removed the branches to the chip. The team lead just stuck it in the ground when he saw it bit it actually snapped from it's anchor. I saw him push it into the ground. read more

Haymakers has done several jobs for me at my residence over the last 20 years. They just completed all my landscape beds with rock and did a MAGNIFICENT job. The lead guy Ben and Justin and Skyler couldn't have been nicer. I also priced a couple others every time I've used them and they have always been very competitive. Haymaker Tree and Lawn really took care of us. We recently had a septic tank installed and our yard was a mess! They sent a great team of guys to level the ground, remove the rocks, add soil that was needed, and replant the grass. They worked quickly and even through some crazy weather. They just finished doing a fantastic job at my Elderly father home. They trimmed 3 large trees, that were over the house and power lines. They didn't butcher them, but shaped them awesomely. They also took 3 75' trees down to ground level. Cleaned up everywhere they were, couldn't tell they were ever in the yard. I was amazed on how professional they are. Would recommend to everyone.
