Pure disappointment. We were looking forward to this experience and called months in advance for our reservation. Now I must premise this 1 star with a legitimate reason. The basis is no communication! We were not sent any email or information that they were going to stay closed till the 30th! A lot of planning went into this trip. We found out that they were closed when I was looking up the phone number and it said it was closed... not enough snow on the ground... ok. But I'm sure I'm not the only family that planned a dinner there! Seriously unprofessional. I called and left voicemails. No return phone calls. We traveled all the way from Vegas to see and experience the beauty of Steamboat only to be let down the very first day. Just thought of this, I get the sled delay, but we were really looking forward to the dinner. Why not still have the dinner option!? Common man. read more

VERY expensive. Got rained out and stopped after 9 holes. We were charged more to finish our round early the next morning. When I questioned why we were charged more all the pro shop could say (repeatedly) is the computer charges it. TOTAL BS. $170 for 18 holes and a cart and 1 rider with golfer. You are ripping people off. The bartender and the young men that took our carts when we finished were the only nice people we encountered there. I won't waste our money there again. read more

An embarrassing display of professionalism. My family had a sleigh ride booked for months, and confirmed several times, that was canceled on us without any attempts by the business to reach out. No calls. No email. A night of showing up and being let down by an empty business with lights off. No signs, not even an "I'm sorry." It's truly disappointing. It's unfortunate their cheery demeanor upfront was overshadowed by shallow business behavior and not delivering on agreements. They say you should judge person on how they treat others, and to that end- res ipsa loquitor. I would recommend not doing business with them. read more

I played golf at this course on a trip to Steamboat Springs and I highly recommend it. I had read several reviews about how friendly the staff is, I can tell you that they were great. Very helpful and very friendly. This course is only a few minutes from the town of Steamboat Springs and the scenery is beautiful. We didn't have clubs with us, so we rented them there. The process was very easy. Just a great place to play! read more

Played this course in early June on a weekday. Shoutout to Tom for greeting us in the parking lot, hiking our clubs to our carts and giving us some great advice that served us well. Telling us that putts were much straighter than they appeared helped me to one of my best putting days in a year. Once on the course Brooke in the drink cart was a fantastic sidekick, we saw her early and often and she acted like we were the coolest people there (because let's face it, we were). Everyone at the course was very friendly and conversational and went above and beyond what was necessary. The course itself is a great layout, bring a fairway finder tee shot and a few extra balls because the long grass is nearly impossible to find anything. Pace was good for a full tee sheet, the guys behind us got impatient and hit into us for no reason (we were right behind the group in front of us), but all in all it was a great vibe out there. Was also in great shape and I'll be coming back here next time I'm in town. read more

I am in Steamboat with my husband for our honeymoon. We booked our sleigh ride dinner for New Years Eve months ago. We were SO excited and as we travel to Colorado, we get a notification that the sleigh ride was canceled. They canceled it Sunday, to "give us time to make other arrangements". Five days before NYE. There is NOTHING ELSE AVAILABLE. I called everyday this week and left messages just asking if we could still have dinner there and never got a reply. They sure did have time to change their voicemail though! I understand that the sleigh ride can't happen, but we just want to have dinner too! We now have no where to go for NYE because of the Haymaker. On our HONEYMOON. Would just be nice to have a call back! But nope! I don't think we even got our refund for the $50 deposit either. Absolute and utter disappointment. Do not even bother trying to do anything with this place, they will just disappoint and never even care to call you back. read more

I love when a track is so distinctive from the front nine to the back nine. Stunning elevated tee boxes, gorgeous views, challenging fairways and well-kept greens. What a beautiful town. Full of restaurants, bars and shops. I hope this place never turns into a Jackson Hole. I came here at the end of Fall, so i never got to check out the ski slopes. I heard it's great ski resort. Great place to bring the family. read more

Classy group of folks. Shout out to Scott, he took amazing care of me, my brother and friends. During a tough time, he stepped up to the plate and was just awesome to me. I will be back to this course and recommend it to everyone I meet or bring to Steamboat. The course is amazing! Nestled right in between the valley and as green as it gets! Tim put the pro in pro shop! THANK YOU so much! I wanted to write a review when I usually don't because we had the best experience ever at this golf course. From the beginning we were a bit tough to deal with as there was a bit of a birthday/golf day party with 4 of us girls being super confusing Tim in the pro shop handled everything with a smile & he couldn't have been more professional..
