Soma contacted me right away and answered all my questions. I went to my first class and the vibe was very welcoming and friendly. The instructor Matt Strack was very informative and demonstrated the techniques very clearly. The other students are nice and helpful and don't try to injure you when you roll. This Jiu Jitsu is a little different from what I was learning back home but it's very legit, practical and effective. Before I forget the gym seems clean and well maintained.

However, knowing that most gym owners do everything at their gym like teaching, cleaning, scheduling, front desk, and even possibly working a full-time job in addition to running a gym, etc. I didn't take this personal... I looked at the time... saw it was class time and sent an email to the gym. I did receive an email back! Chris asked me if I ever trained. I told him yes but I'm probably going to only do no-gi because I didn't plan to train while I was here initially and didn't bring my stuff. He said told me it was no problem and he had a bunch of loaner gis that I was welcome to use. Chris is really down to earth and welcoming as well as all his students! The vibe is great at this gym. I've been training for over 9 years and I really appreciate when a gym welcomes guests as their own and has that family feel right when you come in! Come try them out if you are in town!

OVERPRICED, UNFINISHED AND ALWAYS "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" FACILITY, AND SPORTS TRAINING CLASSES ARE…read moreTREATED AS AN AFTERTHOUGHT This gym is a one trick pony. They do the cycling classes well. But that seems to be where they devote most of their energy, funding, and promotion. Sports training class attendance seems to be dwindling and attendance is far below the levels achieved when the sports training program was located at the far superior (but unfortunately closed) Zero Gravity. The facility is cramped, and the sports training areas are STILL under construction more than a year after they absorbed Zero Gravity. The gaudy and cramped front lobby has seen more construction attention than the actual training areas, being stuffed full of fancy lights, TV screens, bikes, and bike related merchandise that no one seems to buy. That tells you a lot about the priorities of this gym. It's fluff. Bunch of junk for sale. Fancy soap in the showers. Aromatic wash rags after you cycle that you can use to wipe your face. But failure to complete the training areas that members are actually paying to use. Sports training classes that are removed from the schedule for lack of interest. And the amazing thing is Logik raised the prices from Zero Gravity levels, expecting members to pay a premium price for cramped, unfinished facilities and poorly promoted sports training programs. There are numerous options in this area that are far superior to and much cheaper than this gym. I would not spend my money here.
