Good service and friendly staff. We rented bikes to go see the Stone circle in Stonehenge and the view to get there was marvellous. The price was also very reasonable for the entire day. read more

Like most bike shops, John Bikes is staffed by people who clearly know what they're talking about…read more I needed a bike to ride to work and they had a good selection (not as much selection as I hoped for, but still good). I had to wait a while to be served; they get very busy in lunchtimes. For Bath, its quite a big shop. They've joined together two shops into one and a few doors down they also have a service centre.

I'm certainly not new to bikes and needed a quick fix (i was visiting a friend and had no tools on me). He takes a quick look at it and tells me I should most certainly dump it and get a new one. Something I happen to know as utter rubbish. I won't go on a rant about that situation. Long story short, a less knowledgeable costumer would've done what he suggested, and spent a fortune on a new bike. That is not costumer service and, quite frankly, a fairly dishonest thing to do. Like I said, bar that guy, the shop is great.

We got lucky on this day and ended up on the Yarmouth ferry under dreary skis, with the promise of afternoon sun. It was a short walk from the Yarmouth ferry terminal to Wight Cycle Hire, and what a perfect location, right on the bike path created from the old rail line. We were late by several hours, but the owner had faith in us, and he arrived at the bike shop the same time we did. The bikes were very nice - well maintained, easy to ride, and with the necessary gearing to get you up the formidable hills that you will find on the Isle of Wight. The owner and staff were very helpful, informative and friendly. We had a beautiful 30 mile ride, all made possible by Wight Cycle Hire! Highly recommended if you cycle.

Get out of all the traffic snarl ups, in fact, they might decrease! and see Poole without stress! There aren't many hills in Poole, really it's one big long hill, with a few dips, and a slights increase in gradient in one place.well big a increase really. To get to the beaches though, there's really only Evening Hill, and if my daughter can slog it, I reckon any healthy person can! Ooh, imagine cyclying from Sandbanks to Bournemouth Pier or further, stopping off to have a drink or a swim. Imagine cycling along the Quay and Baiter, and going on to Sandbanks! Along Holes Bay and to Wareham! A place steeped in history. or further to Corfe Castle.or take the Sandbanks ferry to Studland and cycle back to Poole the scenic, opposite way! Ooh, this is really exciting! You can see so much more and stop where you want without needing to park! And no nasty emmissions either. Summer would be revolutionised in Poole! Some say the traffic here is as bad as London.we do get some tail backs! It really is bad at peak times. All the bikes have alloy frames and wheels, 18 or 21 gears (oh you don't need that many!), front suspension and disc or vee brakes. 01202 855383 / 07796 322292 Have fun!!

This store has a cycle surgery so a bike section with in the store. It's full of all those needs for cycling. There is also a runners need section, again has all the kit needed for runners. The store has ski, mountain kit etc, the staff are very clued up on all the kit they stock. They are great at recommending stuff, not always the most expensive either. The store is an expensive shop, but in this case you get what you pay for. Has plenty of parking and an easy location to get to. They stock plenty of kit but if they don't have your sizes etc they will order the items in for you. There is also a website to visit. www.snowandrock.com Overall a great store to visit even if just for a look. You will find all the latest kit and more !
