After a few months I noticed a strange sound and took it in to Cycle paths to have a look. They informed me they'd found a crack in the frame. Without any quibble whatsoever they arranged for a brand new frame and then fully assembled it at no cost. I've taken it in for a service the last two years as I do tend to run the bike into the ground and I must say the mechanic there, Matt, knows his stuff. Each time its like riding a new bike again. The service is extremely good value and if you need parts they dont seem to sting you. I have absolutely no connection to this shop whatsoever but i do know good service when I see it. Would thoroughly recommend.

The Poole extension of Rockets and Rascals has taken the baton handed over by the flagship Plymouth branch and run with it. I'll be honest, I'm biased. I was a regular at the Plymouth store and will be here in Poole now I'm local. They are friendly, helpful, community minded, independent and generally pretty darned good. They brew coffee and build good bikes. They cater to mummies and pushchairs, tourists and hardcore cyclists looking for a caffeine fix. They are not cheap, but they are inexpensive. There is a subtle difference, and one which is worth the extra few pennies. If you are looking for an eclectic cafe with good music, excellent food and outstanding coffee look no further. They even have regular rideouts and a loyalty card scheme. Bonus!

I would give No stars if i could such is the level of terrible service, my partner bought a…read moreframe-set for a not small sum of money (£1.4k+) and when it was delivered it was obviously previously used, had deep scratch marks all over the frame and the brake pads were worn! Bill Temple the owner obviously values profit margins over customer service and issue resolution. The measure of any business is how they react to a customer issue and the reaction to an issue. The reaction thus far has been 5 emails unanswered, not even the basic courtesy of an acknowledgement, 2 phone calls, 1 with agreed actions for resolution , 1 follow up call unanswered. If you want an example how NOT to do business, how to treat customers in the worst possible way then these guys are exactly that! Do not buy from them under any circumstances!
