Best new Chardon restaurant! Great food and a great menu with options for everyone. The hibachi, even though it isn't cooked in front of you, is the best in a 40 miles radius of Chardon. It was perfectly cooked and portions were large for a less steep price. The sushi was also great and our waitress was extremely good and well informed. The udon bowl was delicious and a healthy alternative to other options. The only negative is that the outside decor makes it look like a sketchy Asian restaurant and if they could change that I believe business would increase. The name is also a little weird. Inside it is very nice and I can't wait to go back and have a great meal. read more

The new Sushi & Japanese restaurant in Chardon, OH is still a work in process. I only had offerings from the Sushi Bar, so my review is limited to that area alone. The preparation is swift and well done. The quality is better than adequate, but not quite unsurpassed. Freshness is superb. Selection leaves something to be desired. No Ika (squid), no red-tipped clam, nothing out of the ordinary. Hand rolls are of a generous size and well done. Nigiri not packed tight enough to prevent disassembly when picked up to eat. All in all, pretty good, but some work is needed. read more

Hesitant but surprised! That's how I felt when my wife and I decided to stop here for lunch for the first time. The sushi was very good and they had a variety of special rolls that included local items like the local Geauga maple syrup. My wife had the teriyaki chicken which she enjoyed very much. Not the best sushi I've ever had but very good for what's available locally. Will eat here again for sure. read more

Absolutely fantastic and fresh! We were lucky enough to find this charming new restaurant that blew us away! The owner Chen was extremely friendly and very warm to his staff which was so nice to see. Delicious hibachi and BEST Volcano Rolls I've ever eaten!!! Service was great and interior decorations were stylish.

First experience was great, pleasant entry and greeting. The menu is good, tons of choices for those not into sushi. The coolest part, drum roll please.....all 100% real meat. No fillers, no breading-overkill, true and legit. I'd say they are better than PF Chang's if you like that vibe, and they still are authentic. Our waitress was nice, but not very attentive. That's the only part we'd ask for better execution. Prices were reflective of quality, slightly pricey at $15 for a solid dish, but it's huge and high quality. Tried takeout for the first time yesterday. It was a great experience from start to finish. Ordering was fast and easy and my food was ready when promised, and it didn't seem like it had been sitting around. The price was reasonable and the food itself was fresh and delicious. I ordered hibachi vegetables. Onion soup and salad were included. I got steamed rice instead of fried and it was cooked well and not mushy. The veggies were surprisingly tasty; they looked a little watery at first glance, but it was actually a delicious, light sauce. Plenty of food but not too much. Nice variety of vegetables. The onion soup was tasty too. My only criticism was the salad which was just iceberg lettuce with a few carrot shreds. That's typical for this type of salad, but not something I really care for. I gave it to my mother-in-law. I'd definitely order from them again. read more

Came back for our second sushi meal. We ordered 2 Alaska, which normally comes as fresh salmon, but our waitress said no problem ordering it with smoked salmon. We ordered one of each. Also had a roll with avocado and mango, a spicy yellowtail, and a spider roll (5 pc. larger roll). The spider roll was not on the menu, but our waitress suggested it when we asked if there was a sushi roll with soft shell crab. As before, the sushi was excellent! The rice cooked perfectly, and the fish fresh and delicious. Our waitress, Lu, was very helpful with questions and very personable. I tried the miso soup this time, and it came out very hot (heat wise). Very tasty, not overly salty. read more

Sadly, the sushi chef that they had when they 1st opened appears to have left or been fired. The sushi has gone way down since then and I can't order anything from that menu. The fish is not cut properly it's fairly chewy and unpleasant. We just lost our best sushi place. read more

1st time experience. Warm inviting atmosphere. Wonderful menu selections, so many offerings. All four of us selected the hibachi combo dinners. My wife ordered the Kani Salad as an appetizer and everyone tasted and it was amazing. Waitress was kind and friendly. Dinners took longer than normal and waitress had to come and inform us that meals were being plated but she had forgot to put my wives entree in (only entered three dinners). All four combo meals included steak which were all over cooked and tough ( medium rare came as well done). My scallops were amazing and would order as a full meal next time in lieu of combo. The others had shrimp as part of their combos and enjoyed the shrimp. Flavor and portions were great. Deserts were yummy, cheesecake is a must try!. Our waitress had forgot a few other request but made up for it with her kind personality. Was disappointed that managment did not come over to apologize for mis-haps or that waitress didn't try to compansate for any of the problems. We did hear that a cook had quit week prior. I will try back in the future for 2nd chance. read more
