The customer service here is not great. The people are nice enough, but the people working the front desk do not seem to know the answers to even basic questions. Even though the place was completely empty, they charge for an early check in. Our reservation was not correct, and they put us in a regular double room instead of the suite we asked for. Had to return to the lodge and get all new keys and room after unloading and reloading the car. We also paid for a late checkout, and we still got locked out of our room and no one responded to our call. We had to go down to the lobby, which isn't easy here, after being promised someone was on their way. Getting anything takes forever or no one knows the answer. We stayed Saturday to Monday. Unfortunately, the onsite food service and bars close at 3pm on Sundays even though that was our full day there. The tiki bar was hardly open to get drinks by the pool. Essentially the only thing to actually do here is swim in the pool, get a massage, or use the gym. No kayak rentals, no mini-golf course, no pontoon cruises, etc despite all of this being advertised on the website. It was mostly empty and felt very abandoned in most parts of the property. The highlights: the pool is nice and people were very friendly. The bartender was awesome and went above and beyond to do what she could. The actual suite was nice, but not worth the price based on the other amenities being unavailable. The massage therapist was amazing! If the owners put any effort into this place, it could be great. The lake and scenery are amazing. In its current state, we wouldn't return.

We stayed in a Yurt. It was clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. The Yurt had a nice kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Family is what the Narrows is all about. Fridays have a nice community fire by the lakeside for s'mores and socializing with other guest. Every Saturday night is movie night by the lakes edge. The Narrows truly wants that family chill vibe at the resort and does a great job of creating it. This is not the place to come for drunken loud partying. I know other guests and I really appreciate the wholesomeness of the entire resort and the experience it provides our families. I watched my young daughter catch her 1st fish ever, from the dock. She talked about her newfound love for fishing and swimming with the other kids, for the entire drive home. My older kids paddle boarded across the lake. The kids loved the pontoon boat ride around the entire lake, with rope plenty of swings dotting the lake. The afternoon ice cream from the on-site store for each of the kids in the afternoon were a daily highlight. The Narrows is doing everything right to make it all about families and we will definitely be coming back annually.

We arrived in the evening, around 6pm. The signs were not clear on where to check in (or not check…read morein at all in this case) and no one was there to speak to. We finally found where we were supposed to be and decided to just pull in and get set up for the night. The camp sites were VERY short, we were barely able to fit our unit in, which was not what the website stated. There were also lots of trees hanging down and overgrown that made it difficult to get in. All of the other units in the camp ground were covered in spider webs and overgrown weeds/grasses. Clearly many people had not moved their units in a long time and several probably had not had people inside them in a long time either. Overall it was not a very comfortable place to be. I would not have felt comfortable staying there as a female alone. The lake is right across the street but it was buggy, hot, humid, and smelled like sewage. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone to stay, nor would I stay there again myself. Luckily we were only passing through for the night and only there maybe a total of 12 hours, but that was even too long.

The room was older but remodeled and updated. Two queen beds were pretty comfortable, the room was oversized with a table and two chairs as well as a fridge and ample storage places. Plenty of parking, well lit and freshly paved there is parking in multiple areas. We were able to park close to our room each night. The balcony in back is open to every room on the upper floor only, its semi private and there were only people out when we were once during our stay. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the easy proximity to everything in town 01165

I booked this hotel in May 2026 but we traveled in late July 2026. There was no staff at the hotel when we arrived (Tuesday) but there was no way of knowing other than by calling the main phone number and hearing that we should check in next door at the Thatcher hotel. I walked over and received confusing instructions from the bartender along with the keys on how to get to our room. Up the stairs we went the first time and saw no doors with a key card so we went all around the building because of course the elevator was broken. We then tried inside again and realized the rooms were located behind a heavy door. Finally we lugged all of our things up two hot flights of stairs and into a hot room. My child had been excited to go swimming and then he realized the pool was freezing and that made him feel really frustrated. We did enjoy the huge tub in the bathroom but unfortunately the jets were broken. We also noticed there was street construction right outside the hotel but hoped it would've been daytime only, boy were we wrong. The construction went on all night and nobody was able to sleep despite a loud noise machine. Also anytime the AC turned off it would make such a loud sound in the living room that my child wasn't able to sleep. The next morning we rushed to shower and get ready and of course the power went out for about 10 minutes in the morning. Overall rating 1 star only because the main bed was comfortable. But the fact that there was all night construction right outside and the hotel didn't bother to let us know ahead of time or even tell us that they were closed and what my check in/check out instructions were made it all the worst.
