The first season we stayed, it went pretty well but this was also while it was cold outdoors, rainy and we were running on our own propane supply. This summer, however, we ultimately decided to uproot and find another park. Now, I will say Gigi and Don are nice enough people and they do try to keep their park up. We don't have any complaints about the grounds itself. Or the patrons. However, it stands to reason that the upper part of park is going to require more power usage from patrons because it has no shade at all. Our RV is metal, not wood. Before it had even reached the 80s, we were already getting complaints about the amount of power we were using to keep our RV cool (with the AC set in the 80s). Even though we were paying every penny of the "extra" electricity. I eventually had the electrical system checked out, as they had suggested, and found that, as you'd expect, putting a metal RV in the baking Alabama sun is going to result in a hot metal RV. By the 2nd month, we were over it and decided to move parks. We're now in Wetumpka, right on the lake, rent is under $500 a month and we're not paying for electricity separately. Additionally, this campground and the groundskeep aren't causing us undue anxiety simply because we're trying to survive the summer. So, this is where we're going to be staying from now on when we're in the area. I suggest others consider looking just outside of Prattville for a better deal and more consideration.

Which I could understand. The day we are set to check out I asked if we could have a late check out, the receptionist tells me she has someone checking into that lot today, mind you check in time is 1pm, and I'll be charged 10 dollars and tax. So I'm thinking ok, that's fine. If anything we were out of there before 1pm, I failed to mention to her that on their brochure says otherwise and not saying anything about a late check out fee. Other than that everything was ok. But we did check into another beautiful RV Park.

There are quite a few work residents on site, which creates lots of traffic/noise all evening, as they return to their RV's from work 5-7pm and busy traffic mostly between 5:30-7am as they start up their hefty trucks for work. Plus you are sitting right off the interstate, so more traffic noise. Not complaining, just stating the facts. That's why we use a sound machine. The sites are plenty long enough for our bus and Jeep. We do not need to disconnect to navigate the outer drive to the site. Hookups are good. This park is at the end of a fabricated home sales business, most likely owned by the same people. We will repeat our visits, just not to stay to vacation. Wi-fi was perfectly fine. We were in the first site, 18, nearest the building, but there are two towers to choose from. The office told us to go with A. If you are further away maybe you choose the second option?

Junior owns all the land and lives on it, with 8 RV sites for visitors. We arrived at 930pm and he told us to call his cell when we got off the highway, then he met us to show us where our site was. The park is quite clean, bushes are kept trimmed. Sites are extra wide and this year, we noticed new gravel has been added. Nice & level. The geese occupy the pond and they are fun to watch. There is a great, large dog run for pets. There is sooooo much to do nearby for tourism. Conveniently, . AW Shucks Oyster Bar is located within walking distant from our campsite. Casey, was working again this time. She is such a delightful young lady. We ordered beers and lunch. Cudo's to the Chef~ the Camp Stew with Hush Puppies is the BEST lunch !! We found Mike to be pretty flexible, he said we could arrive early at 10:00 but this time we pulled in at 11:30. He escorted us to our spot right away. Had an issue with the 50 amp electric, but Mike came right out and fixed it. Everything worked fine for our 3 day stay. They do close for lunch between 12:00-1:00, and the front office closes at 5:00... so keep that in mind with your travel times for arrival. If our travels take us North through Montgomery, AL next year...... we will stay here again !!
