Booked a helicopter tour from them at a substantial discount. They relayed the booking to the primary vendor and everything was flawless. Will use again. read more

While the company was nice at the beginning, the lei company was not and both kept blaming the other when trying to receive a refund. I ordered two lei's to be given to my son. The flight from JFK to HNL was delayed 12 hours. They changed their flight but arriving at midnight the lei's would be too late to be given and the hotel they stayed at was not on their list to deliver. The situation was out of my control but my $ would not be refunded. No aloha spirit here. $66.00 to keep a customer happy. Buyer beware. Look elsewhere. read more

I was not impressed for the amount I was charged. We were greated with an 8x10, black and white message on regular copy paper. The guy that "greated" us didn't say anything, he just handed us the leis and walked off. I will not be using this company again nor will I recommend it to anyone. read more

I booked 2 zip line tours on their website THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD then called me over an hour later to let me know the tour was booked and that I could go next week!! Well I will be off the island by next week!! still haven't received my refund!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! Go directly to the company you want the activity through!! read more

Ordered a lei greeting as a gift through Hawaii Discount, and was contracted to Fly Shuttle & Tours. HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE. Greeter was around 45 MINUTES LATE after the recipients got off their plane. They sat in an empty baggage claim, watching the other passengers receive their leis from better companies, and even watching their pilots finally leave the terminal, with no greeter in sight. Their greeter told them they were "5 minutes away" for at least 30 minutes. WHAT AN AWFUL START TO A TRIP. Completely ruined their first experience in Hawaii. Why bother asking for flight info if you are NOWHERE NEAR THE AIRPORT WHEN THEY LAND, AND THEY MUST CALL YOU SEVERAL TIMES TO GET YOU TO EVEN SHOW UP? I wish I could give a lower rating for how they BOTCHED this gift experience. Hawaii Discount, STOP USING CUT-RATE COMPANIES LIKES FLY SHUTTLE & TOURS. read more

Well first of all I want to warn you all that what you see and what is being advertised IS NOT what you will get! I was so disappointed on the service and presentation of the leis! I never expected to be greeted with 2 Leis being pulled out of a dirty grocery bag...nor for the leis to be damaged (missing petals and having bruised and folded petals)! When I placed my order I specifically stated that one was for a child and I was told it would be sized accordingly...FALSE! It was not...definitely will never EVER use them! I will also not recommend them to ANYONE... The quality of the flowers were horrible, the greeting was NOT worth the money! Do yourselves a favor and get this service somewhere else! read more

I was looking for a last minute lei greeting for my daughter & granddaughter. I must have called 20 different companies that either didn't provide lei greetings or were already booked. Not only was HawaiiDiscounts.com able to arrange the airport greeting but the phone agent was very friendly & helpful. They were also the least expensive & couldn't provide upgraded lei options at the last moment, but the leis the girls received were nice and my granddaughter was so excited. The greeter stayed in contact starting within minutes of the plane landing. He even took photos for them. I was pleased with the service. read more

I've only used Hawaii Discount to book a 25% discounted kayak rental. They were the only ones providing that discount. Their website is very old, but the booking went reasonably fast, and when I called the kayak company, they confirmed that the reservation had been made. read more

Ordered the lei greeting at the Kona airport. One of our connecting flights has mechanical issues and we were stuck in the tarmac for 2.5 hours. Needless to say we missed our connecting flight and almost didn't make it Hawaii! We arrived 7 hours later and through the battle I didn't let them know our flight changed. Their own policy states they will deliver them to your hotel if this happens. I contacted them the next morning and they demanded a additional $15 for this? That's not in their contract. I tried for several days to resolve this but they continued to demand an additional $15. Sigh... Now the credit card company gets to deal with them. Don't waste your money on them. They do not care about happy customers. Per the cancellation policy we are not able to refund for any leis missed due to missed flights or arrivals on different flights where we were not updated on new flight information. The lei greeters made every attempt to greet the party and did greet others on the flight listed. I do apologize but at this time we are unable to offer any refunds. I have copied the full cancelation policy that was agreed to during the booking process below and highlighted the lei greeting information. Again, I do apologize about the inconvenience. Please let us know if we can assist you further! There are no refunds on lei greetings for flights that you are not on, but we will make every effort to make sure you receive the leis on another flight or to your hotel as long as you call us with the new flight info. read more

We rented a car from HawaiiDiscount over the phone for pick-up on the Big Island (I didn't have confidence in their website order-form). I was apprehensive after reading mixed reviews online, but everything went smoothly with no surprises and we saved about $100. They charge you part of the rental price upfront, and the car rental company (Alamo) charges you the rest. Their website clearly states this and the customer service representative told me this as well. After that went well, we decided to rent from them again on the next leg of our trip in Kauai. Everything went smoothly again and we saved another $100. I think these guys are just a "last mile" reseller of Alamo cars. Would definitely use again and recommend. read more

Hawaii Discount helped me save so much money with car rental on Kona during Christmas. Every online car rental companies wanted to charge me $150+ a day for car rental but HD got the same car for me for $77 a day. The process was so easy, you book the car rental with the agent on the phone, you pay for their portion during the call, then they'll send you an email voucher confirming your rental, then all you need to do during picking up the car is to pay the taxes/fees. The car pick up process was super easy at Kona and they even let me pick up the car 3 hours earlier with a free upgrade. We also booked our snorkeling tours with HD and we saved 5-10% average. Their customer service is fantastic and will definitely use them again for future visits in Hawaii! read more

Everything was smooth sailing for us as we chose this company to book our Island Circle Tour. It was only $78 pp for a full day tour and this was done through Polynesian tours. Our guide Ernie was outstanding, full of jokes and knowledge about everything Hawaii related. It was a long day starting with Pearl Harbor and winding around through a windy lookout spot, a beach, Dole Plantation, ranch, nut farm and Temple. The pickup was perfect and the price was right. Great day of exploring. read more

I booked a Captain Andy's Cruise for December 28, 2017 for 6 adults, 2 days ago with a discount. I checked Captain Andy's website directly and their was 21 seats available. Today, I receive a call and email stating the cruise is completely booked but they could book me on another cruise at the non-discounted price. While on the phone with Hawaii Discount I checked Captain Andy's website and it stated they still had 11 open seats on Captain Andy's boat. Go figure. Can you say Bait and Switch. Update to review - Just booked 6 adult tickets on Captain Andy's Cruise for December 28, 2017 at the non-discounted price. read more

I used this service to book a Luau at Kilohana Plantation on Kauai, but due to a scheduling conflict we were unable to attend the Luau. Unfortunately, the cancellation window had already passed. Hawaii Discount directed me to work directly with Luau Kalamaku at Kilohana Plantation for a refund, but they just sent me back to Hawaii Discount. Luau Kalamaku did offer to re-book for a date later in the week, but that didn't work for us as that was our fly-out date, so I ended up losing $658. My suggestion is to use Hawaii Discount as a research tool, but then work with the venue directly to get the same or better pricing as I believe the venue will be more accommodating, if and when issues arise. read more

I booked a luau with Hawaii Discount prior to our family traveling to the Big Island. 4 days prior to our arrival, I noticed that our confirmation had the wrong date listed on it so I called and spoke with a person by the name of Ashton who said she would contact Royal Kona Luau to get that switched over to the correct date and I would receive confirmation shortly. The day of the luau our family was excited to go and got all dressed up and when I went to pull my tickets, I realized I had not gotten a new confirmation. I immediately called Hawaii Discount and spoke with a rep that I failed to get their name and they placed me on hold while they listened to the call that was recorded. She came back on the line to confirm that I indeed called in and spoke with Ashton who failed to make the changes. I then asked to speak with a Supervisor and was transferred to Colby. She also confirmed that they dropped the ball and when she tried to call the Royal Kona, they unfortunately were already sold out and it was our last night in Kona. I was so disappointed as was our family. A luau is a staple item you need to do in Hawaii and for Hawaii Discount to mess that up, not apologize or do anything to fix the situation besides refund me which was clearly an obvious thing to do. I would NOT recommend using them to book anything. I have been to a luau before however our family had not and it took away from something we were excited to do. Ashton should be trained on how to follow up and Colby trained on how to handle guest situations because they both dropped the ball. Only positive for the company are the calls being recorded. read more

There are many mixed reviews, but our experience was wonderful. I originally called for the discounted prices, but then ended up changing my plan based on the recommendation of the gal who helped me. THEN I ended up needing to cancel transportation to our luau because we rented a car and even with only 2 hours notice, they gave our party of 8 a full refund for the transportation. AND we looooved the luau they recommended. Everyone was super nice when I called (which I called multiple times to arrange multiple families doing this luau together) and I would use them again. Mahalo Discount Hawaii! read more

Horrible company. It is a scam. I bought tickets to the Smith Family Luau and my credit card was charged. On the day of the Luau I called the company for more information and they said my reservation was on the waiting list, and this is a couple hours before the event. There was no indication that we would be placed on the waiting list when I purchased the tickets on the website. I did not receive any phone calls to let me know. I called back and they said they had no availability. Do not use this company. You will have just wasted your time. read more

We thought we were buying a guided tour of almost all sites at Pearl Harbor, a bait and switch occurred we ended up paying almost $90 per person to see the Missouri and Arizona sites (Missouri tour is $27 and Arizona is free). A half day tour ended up being about 8 hours. I would have been cheaper and quicker to get a car out there (Uber and the like are about $35 each way) and signing up for the different sites as you like. Definitely avoid this company and Aloha Hawaii Tours. read more

Just got a very unfortunate phone call that my Guest will not be receiving their lei when landing in Hawaii in less than 24 hours. I was told after placing my order, that if they would not be able to deliver the lei, I would be notified within 30 minutes. I waited several hours, to make sure I didn't get a call that they would not be able to deliver, before I called my Guest to expect a Hawaiian Surprise when she landed. Well, 24+ hours later, I then got a call saying "sorry, we can't deliver and we will refund your money"! I asked if they could refer another company/business and was told no. That doesn't give a resolution to the situation. Two people are now really disappointed. Don't promise if you can't deliver. read more

Fabulous customer service! I used Hawai'i Discount to order a lei greeting for my daughter and her husband on their honeymoon. Their original flight got delayed so the airline switched them to a flight to a different airport to make a different connection. I emailed the company to say they would not be on the original flight, but would be coming in sometime later from a different airport. This was on a Sunday morning when most businesses are either closed or it takes forever for the one person on duty to get back to you. They emailed back within 5 minutes to say they'd gotten the message. A couple of hours later my daughter was able to text me the new flight number and arrival time in Maui, so I emailed that, and again got a very prompt response, this time with a new voucher email as well that showed the new flight number and arrival time with the original greeting info for me to check to make sure the sign (they tell you to have the arriving people look for someone holding a sign) was correct. My daughter later sent a photo of them (presumably taken by the greeter since it wasn't a selfie) wearing the leis and looking very happy! So I definitely recommend Hawai'i Discount for lei greetings! read more

Wanted to take a moment and leave this review. We booked 3 tours for our trip to Maui (June 2018) and Hawaii Discounts.com provided great service and speedy confirmation of our tours. Absolutely wonderful customer service! Best prices too. I booked snorkeling tour two days before the date, when other sites showed me that there were no availabilities. Bought VIP tickets to the Diamond Head Luau through the site. When we arrived at the Luau, they were unable to accommodate the VIP seating because they were overbooked. Diamond Head Luau did their best to try to get us close seating, but when I contacted Hawaii Discount, they seemed to care less. Agent said she would contact the Luau to let them know. With all due respect Hawaii Discount, I was YOUR customer and you should have tried to make it right as opposed to blame your vendor. Great show, but book directly through the Luau company because Hawaii Discount is not about customer service. They also add fees to booking, so the discount is not worth it. read more

5 stars for great service and response. I booked a luau and reached out both by phone and email on a Sunday morning before they opened. They did not provide the services that they advertise. We ordered Hanauma Bay tickets to travel to Hanauma Bay through them. They called and canceled the service less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to go. They knew for months that they could not provide the service they advertised, but took our money anyway. We were unable to go because finding affordable last minute transportation across the island is next to impossible. This company came highly recommended, but we were disappointed, and would not prepay for any of their services, especially during the unknowns of COVID. read more

I recently used Hawaii Discount as my go to activities contact for my corporate event. Krystal and all the Hawaii Discount staff was extremely helpful. They were always quick to respond to emails and calls. I used them to book a river cruise, kayak, and zipline adventure tours on the island of Kauai. As it was a corporate event, I had multiple changes and they were able to accommodate most of my last minute changes (which were a lot!). I will definitely use their services again, as they were so quick to respond and pricing was fair. The vendor partners they work with were all great as well. Thank you Hawaii Discount! read more

Phenomenal!! Everything went off without a hitch!! We had 4 tours booked, and there were no hiccups what-so-ever!! It was our first time to Oahu and I would use this site/company again, as well as recommend them to everyone!! If I may add, however, I may want to downsize to the smaller, more personable tours, although there was absolutely nothing wrong with our big bus rides. :) Truly appreciate everyone and the smooth running of the bus times, tour times, and education!! DO NOT BOOK ANY TOURS/SERVICES WITH THIS COMPANY. Our family booked a snorkeling trip to Hanauma Bay and we were greeted with the WORST and MOST UNPROFESSIONAL customer service we have experienced on any vacation. Long story short, we were notified of the wrong location to get picked up when we booked; therefore, my family was late to the supposed "CORRECT" location and the driver refused to pick up my cousin at her location since we were "LATE." We were cussed at by the shuttle company owned by FLORIN when we were explaining our story remarking that he "didn't want to deal with this sh*t." Furthermore, MELISSA, the manager of Hawaii discounts, refused to cooperate with us and repeatedly told us that it was our fault for being late when we were at the location THEY TOLD US THE DAY BEFORE AND WAS ON OUR VOUCHER. If you want to waste 3 hrs of your time in paradise trying to sort out a situation, go ahead book with Hawaii Discounts. Otherwise, spend your money elsewhere and enjoy this beautiful island working with someone else. read more

We have booked a Trade winds sail for May of this year through Hawaii Discount. We were emailed shortly after booking that the time we wanted to do the cruise was unavailable due to a private booking and what time or day did we want to reschedule. Stay away--FAR AWAY--from these guys!! They claim that you will "save $xx.xx" on the purchase, but when you call to book, they charge you "taxes and fees (they said for heliport access, etc.)" which pretty much wipe out the savings, and take money away from the actual company that is providing the service. These "Taxes and Fees" are not charged by the other companies, and they do not remit them to Hawaii for taxes. Further, when you consider this, the "$41.78" they advertise I will save (per person) is dramatically reduced--this is a false claim that I will save this much. We used them for a helicopter tour, and unfortunately did not look at the reviews for HawaiiDiscount (just the tour company). What a mistake. After I called them on their deception, they tried to BS their way through, but then said someone from Accounting would have to get back to me to explain (of course, even after a follow up e-mail, I never heard from them again). They want to force me to take other action to right their deception. Just book directly with the supplier. read more

This place is terrible. My friend and I booked a reservation in two weeks in advance. You would think this place has it together. If there is not an available slot in a reservation then the website should reflect that. After booking a slot we received a call and an email stating that there are no more available slots. "PLEASE UPDATE your website". They call and offer a new date, a vacation is all about planning and timing so if it isn't obvious, choosing a different date might not be doable since there are other places a customer has PLANNED and SCHEDULED with more professional tours and travel services. read more

I called to book the Chief's Luau on 5/22/16. I've never been there before and since it was a ticket reseller, I had some questions regarding how the purchasing worked. I initially spoke with Catherine, then with Chelsey. They were both very short when answering my questions. I finalized the purchase for our group and was promised that confirmation email would be sent to me. I waited for about 30 minutes, and after not receiving it, I called back. I spoke with Chelsey and asked if y could resend the confirmation email. I was once again promised that it would be sent, but after another 15 minutes of not receiving it AGAIN, I called back. I reached Chelsey again and told her that I still didn't receive the email. That's when her attitude got worse. She said it doesn't matter if I received the email or not because my purchase was done. I responded by saying that I would rather have some type of receipt available in case my name didn't show up on their list when I arrived to avoid any issues. She impatiently respondes that there won't be any issues. I informed her that I would rather have my receipt as proof of purchase. I asked her to verify my email that they sent it to and found out that they took down my email address incorrectly, even after I confirmed my email with Catherine twice!!!! So I calmly informed Chelsey that the email was wrong, to which she responded with a rude "ok sir" and then put me on hold. I stayed on the line for another 7-8 minutes before the confirmation email reaches me. Even after receiving the email, I stayed on this line for another 5 minutes because I wanted to let her know that her customer service was horrible, but she never came back on the line!! It's ridiculous that they were rude to me because of their own error. Is it wrong to want to have a receipt for my purchase, ESPECIALLY since they're a 3rd party reseller?? I'm never using them again. Their tickets are $10 cheaper than Chief's prices, but with their added processing fees, it comes out to about the same price. This place sucks with customer service. It's not even worth your time trying to deal with these people. read more
