Such a fun place to drop in! Lots of adoptable kitties rescued from around the island. Was very clean and the cats were well taken care of.

They have a great mission: They team up with the Hawaiian Humane Society to showcase cats and kittens that are available for adoption, and if you are vetted and selected, you can take your chosen cat(s) home for their new life with you! Even if you're not in the market for a new companion, you can go to the Café, get a coffee or Italian soda, eat a scone, and pet adorable cats. There's always a nice rotating mixture of frisky kittens and older cats, and some are napping while others are playing. There are toys in the room where the cats are so you can interact with them. I always recommend reservations but you can walk in and see if there are spots available. You get lots of time to interact with the cats and it's usually not packed so there's room to interact with multiple kitties. Please check it out--it's such a good cause!

The price is also very affordable compared to other cat cafes. Reservations are recommended. I really like that the visit time is an hour instead of 30 minutes like some other places that charge double the price, which is honestly kind of crazy. I came with my daughter and it was $31 total for an hour of playing with the cats, which I think is totally worth it. They also have a cafe, which adds a nice touch to the experience.

Both our plates portion sizes were very generous! I got the mango matcha latte, and it was so yummy - the mango syrup complimented the matcha perfectly! The matcha tasted very high quality. However, after I drank it all I realized there was a fly in the drink :( it was really good though. The line was very long (11 people ahead of us), but after putting our names down and looking around the ABC store downstairs, it didn't feel like we waited too long before we were seated! Definitely give this place a try if you're in the Waikīkī area! And make sure to get the purple Okinawa Japanese sweet potatoes!!

My husband got the Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict, and it was also amazing! The hollandaise with lilikoi butter was a nice touch. Service was very good, and they were quite busy. Be prepared to wait for a table, but the food is definitely worth the wait!

There is no online ordering, so plan accordingly to beat the lunch rush. The menu is easy to read and has local favorites: lau lau, kalua pork, musubis, and beef stew. There's also coffee and sweets available for purchase. I ordered the weekly special: mochiko chicken and waited on the side. There's a limited number of tables indoors and outdoors. I grabbed a seat inside and saw kids playing in a dress up area. Thought that was a nice touch for making the cafe interactive. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my food. Once your food is ready, the staff will announce your name on the PA system. I picked up my food and dug in. My mochiko chicken plate was piping hot, accompanied by a scoop of white rice and salad with lilikoi dressing. The mochiko chicken tasted fresh and flavorful. One of the best mochiko chickens I've ever had. I normally dislike salad, but the dressing was so ono I finished the whole thing. My plate was $16.99. It's a little pricey, but the food is decent.

The menu boasts unique & well-executed twists on your familiar breakfast items. Their Specials menu also seem to change everyday. I ordered the Breakfast Congee, my boyfriend ordered the Koko Moco, and we had the Strata from their Daily Specials, to share. Breakfast Congee: 9/10. Comforting and yummy. I wasn't expecting that all of the toppings would mix well together and elevate the seemingly simple taste of congee. I could taste a bit of spice due to the chili oil, which added to the combination of many other flavors. I needed something comforting in the morning so it really hit the spot. Koko Moco: pretty good in terms of the taste but the portion was a little smaller than expected, but we had the Strata to share and felt satisfied after having that. Strata: Reading the description on the menu sounded very interesting, but all the ingredients really blended well together! I found myself eating the congee and strata alternately during our meal. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food to arrive (it was a busy Friday morning with a 25-40 minute wait to be seated), the service was great and the staff were attentive to our needs. Ample parking at the Kaimuki Municipal Lot with entrances by 12th Avenue.

Not sure what her role is. (Although she seems to think she is the HHS police.) She seems to have major emotional dysregulation issues and will SNAP at people who are with a foster dog, or addopting a dog, that is sniffing at the three dog display cages in front, "DON'T LET THE DOG MAKE CONTACT WITH THE PUPPY!!!" (These three cages out front seem to be featured dogs they want people to notice?) Well perhaps they should put the cages higher up?? She also asks a lot of personal questions and follows people around the shelter, observing/spying as they view or interact with dogs (passive agressive much?!?!). If HHS was SO concerned about disease transmission, perhaps they should not have cats roaming loose inside the shelter, or FERAL CHICKENS flying and running around all over the shelter and DRINKING from the dog water bowls. After three encounters with this person in April and May, I don't want to go back. It's hard enough to be grieving and I don't need to deal with people who seem to be judging everyone who enters the shelter. I may check out the Ewa location instead. HHS leadership: the bizarre woman at the front needs to get some training on keeping her personal issues at the door when she shows up for work. GEEZ!!!
