Fun getaway in winter. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend. Beautiful drive up and nice scenery from the pool. Next time might rent a room from the hotel.

This is an older place under a new management. We purchased our tickets for Monday on Friday and stopped here on our way back home from Stanley. We had the whole pool to ourselves which was awesome. The water was nice and hot, much hotter than any other hot springs we visited in the past. There is a changing room (a shed) and a porta potty (needs to be emptied). The pool itself needs a new paint and a lot of work as do the grounds (everything looks run down) but for the price it was definitely worth the stop and we enjoyed being there.

The first pool and background .

Went today was planning on going to kirkham but pulled in and saw all the nonsense , pulled into the parking lot of haven hotsprings and luckily ran into the owners (we could of booked online) but they kindly greeted us, helped situate the payment and pointed us towards the pools! Was awesome no one was there, snow was falling and they have just done a ton of work to it and it looked amazing. Moody definitely will return. Great low key guaranteed soak. Not expensive either . Five out of five!

My Cup Runith Over!!! Amazing hot springs pool without the crazy slippery freezing walk back. Perfect.

So if your looking for a beautiful hot springs experience in the snow with wildlife walking all around you, without the scary steep hike in and painfully cold walk back to your car...this is the place to go!

Ribeye with grilled onions, and all the homestyle sides ;)

We've done many rafting trips over the years but this was the first time we've gotten suited up in a farmer john suit, water booties, and long sleeve waterproof shirt to combat the cold water. We have been in snow melt runs before so this was interesting but oh so great to be comfortable on the river. I was never cold and interestingly never too warm despite the layers. Sean follows the raft in a white water kayak to be a safety back up just in case and also snap some cool pics - also a first on a rafting trip and I thought it was awesome. Stephen did a great job navigating our raft and the collective group of us were all skilled enough to ensure we didn't tip over or fall out of the raft (except one person). We just loved it! We did the canyon stretch for 5 class 4 rapids in like 45 minutes. The trip felt like it went fast but it was so fun! Lunch was delicious, allergy sensitive which is always appreciated. It was nice to see this part of Idaho since we usually stay further south west due to where family lives when we visit. It was a treat to be on the rafting trip and catch some hot springs nearby and on the rafting trip. This river stretch includes Pine Flat hot springs but Kirkham is within a couple miles and part of a different run they offer as well. 100% recommend if you are looking for an awesome adventure with great people!

Everything she does for each one of her guests is super special - She begins by greeting you, showing you around and making sure you're comfortable there, followed by checking to see if you have dietary restrictions so that the breakfast she provides for you will work. The pictures of her home and its comfort level don't do it justice: Begin your nights sleep with a memory foam mattress and sounds of the running river to put you to sleep in your comfy room. Step outside for the most beautiful clear night sky and stars you can possibly see (I saw two shooting stars in a matter of minutes). Wake up to the smell of Idaho bacon. Enjoy a variety of breakfasts throughout the week such as huckleberry French toast casserole (so good it's unreal!), huckleberry pancakes, bacon or sausage and white peaches. Freshly brewed Idaho coffee. She may even make you these amazing breakfast potatoes. Now, go explore the life-changing Kirkham Hot Springs, just 3 minutes down the road, with hot waterfalls running into small pools of water (does wonders on your mind and muscles) and then white water rafting right next door to the Airbnb. I'll stop there, because Carol will answer all your questions and help you know everything there is to offer in the area and sometimes even provide coupons for the outings (because EVERYONE knows Carol in town). I may sound like her spokesperson, but I am truly just an extremely impressed customer who's expectations were blown away by my Airbnb experience. You won't be disappointed, I hope you book here because you won't want to miss out on a beautiful wonderful stay! Sincerely, Jennifer.

The cozy cabin lodge is perfect for an escape from the city. We needed to check in a little early to get ready for the event and Carol made sure we had plenty of time so we wouldn't be late. Checking in was a breeze and our host was very hospitable along with her sense of humor right off the bat. The room we stayed in was clean and tidy, with charming wild horse decor, hence the name of it, "The Wild Horse" room. We enjoyed our event and returned to a restful, quiet night. We awoke to the the smell of fresh coffee as well as Carols famous Huckleberry Pancakes we read so much about. Although we weren't able to sit down and enjoy breakfast with our wonderful host, she packed us some pancakes and coffee to go. We were blown away by just how good they were. Buttery. Crispy and savory on the outside. Moist and sweet on the inside. You will not be disappointed! So make sure you make time for breakfast. Great conversation, beautiful surroundings, excellent food, and an overall feeling of well-being. We enjoyed our stay and we are sure you will too.

This property juts up to a beautiful section of the South Fork of the Payette River. The hosts have set up many different seating areas overlooking the river. The property sits above the river and there is a cliff right next to the river, but with a couple of private trails that lead down to the property's own private beach areas when the river is lower. The crown gem of the property however is a nice little hot pool that is the perfect temperature for soaking. Our favorite times to soak were in the early morning hours and well into the night when it was nice and dark. The hosts had provided some nice floating equipment to use in the pool that were great for relaxing in the water and enjoying some epic stargazing. This property is in the wilderness away from town so the setting is perfect for this type of activity. And best of all...you have the whole place to yourselves. The hosts, Jamie and Dan, are some of the nicest and most helpful people and really care that you have a good time on their property. They are very warm and welcoming in their demeanor. They are always available if you need them, but they have a way of making it feel as if you have the whole property to yourself, which you kind of do. The separate cabin for the guests is small but super cozy. Even though there is not a kitchen, there is a fridge and microwave with a grill just outside the door. There are a couple of fire pits as well and so there are opportunities to cook over an open fire if you want to. We ate very well while we were there. The hosts also stock the cabin with a variety of different snacks and treats. There are also treats provided for you to feed their horse Legs if you so desire. Activities abound in this area and we are avid hikers, so that is where we spent a lot of our time, but we always loved returning after a long hike to just chill on the property and take it all in. We have stayed at a lot of different places like this, but Double J&D Hot Spring Ranch is probably our favorite. As I said before, the hosts are amazing and there are tons of things to do in the area. They provide their guests with a good range of activities and the property guide book has a good deal of information about the area with recommendations. And if you can't find what you're looking for, Dan and Jamie will probably be able to point you in the right direction. It was our second time staying there and it certainly won't be the last. We were only there for three nights, and I wish we could have stayed longer. If you decide to give this place a chance, I'm sure that you will leave feeling refreshed and rejuvinated as this is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and re-connect with nature.

Oh man, oh man, oh man--all of the heart eyes! (Not the easiest thing in the world to get to, but…read morelike a hidden treasure, once you find it, the hunt is so worth it!) How to get there(ish): 1. Head up ID 55 like you're going towards McCall 2. Hang a right on Banks Lowman Highway 3. Drive for 28 miles and then you'll see Pine Flats Campground on the right 4. (Now getting to the hot springs is a bit tricky. Side note: I definitely would NOT recommend attempting this in snowy weather, that just would not be smart or safe.) Anyways, you're going to take a trail that runs sort of by the river and is towards the rightmost part of the campground. You'll walk for what I assume to be a quarter mile, and then voila! You'll arrive at a beach along the river with massive boulders and pools stacked against the hillside (this is all natural by the way)! The Campground: Parking is $5/day, and I am not sure about the cost of overnight camping as we only made a day trip here. They have one bathroom here, and, well, it's totally a public park bathroom. The Views: We went on an October weekend, so we had a view that combined all things beautiful that Idaho has to offer in one--snow on mountains in the distance, lush green hills, stunning fall foliage, a rushing river running along the hot springs, and clean mountain air. The Hot Springs: A good amount of the pools of water were warm and I would only recommend sitting in them if the weather is above 80 degrees, or else you'll get chilly real quick. But for the most part, they were toasty, especially if you sat underneath the ones with waterfalls--those will heat you right up! Pro Tip(s): 1. Make sure you have more than enough gas in your car--you're out of service up here and out of luck if you run out of gas. 2. Bring a big water bottle! Sitting in hot water will dehydrate ya real quick.
