I understand that it is a residents right to determine where they want to eat but to leave them in the same room for weeks is poor care. Tried to get me to place my dad on hospice when he isn't in need so they can bill ALTCS for hopsice care at a higher rate frauding the insurance company.

She was an extreme fall risk, dementia. Did they try to stop her, NO. First, she tried to escape, then she ended up in the E.R. with a broken neck at C-2 level. Known as the hangman's break. No help, just excuses. After all she was a D.N.R. And then, a lot of morphine to dull things even more. These things happen, don't you know?? Just covering their asses, and Covid is the great excuse. I called last week to check up on her, only to find out that she passed away 2 weeks earlier. No phone call, no letter, No notice. I am still trying to find out where my mother's corpse is located. Save your time, Go anywhere else. Unless you cannot afford it, in that case, Good Luck!

Restraints are not allowed but they could have lowered his bed and put pads on either side of his bed. No, instead they called me to meet him at the ER. He just missed hitting his eye on the air conditioner and was a bloody mess. Very old, dark and dingy in appearance. I would never go back there again with someone I love. The next nursing home always kept his bed lowered to the floor with thick pads on either side to protect him should he fall.

That being said, he did not want to be in a typical "assisted living" facility. He wanted tot be very independent and be able to come and go as he please. Amy and Denise made the transition so easy. We were able to set up a day to interview all of the potential living facilities. We ultimately chose Touchmark because of the incredible bar and entertainment. My grandpa loves music and dancing so it was a done deal when we saw that. I could not have done this without love and care of Amy and Denise. They truly enjoy what they do and it showed when we were touring. I would highly recommend anyone to trust Amy and Denise when finding housing for your loved ones. This is a decision you only want to have to make once, make it a good one!

The place was basically ok, but they had people in there who should have been in a nursing home. I…read moremean dementia patients. Absolutely NO privacy unless you could get a private room. Our food came from a nursing facility across the street and was very often cold. The head caregiver there was not very friendly. There were rules there, but not really enforced. People were smoking, smoking marijuana and drinking, all of which were suppose to be forbidden. They scolded me when I finally left as if they had done everything they could for me and I didn't appreciate them. Things really need to change there. The food quality was not good. The cleaning staff was very nice as were the people that did laundry.

I left this facility after 30 days. They billed me for 90. In that time I was scolded for urinating…read morein a cup among other things. But the meds I needed to keep me from constantly having to pee (desmopressin) had not been given to me for over a week. Nor had my pain meds (hydrocortisone). Everyone knocked before entering my room except for the guy mentioned previously. He just walked on in. Most of the residents who spoke to me had nothing but complaints about facility. I was told when I Checked in On Monday I would be moved to first floor by Friday. 30 days later I moved back home off of 2nd floor with no help from anyone at the facility. The admissions person told me on the day I moved in an attorney would be contacted to get financial help. When I left, no attorney had been spoken to. None of the nurse call buttons in either room solicited a response. A few days after I left, I. Was called and scolded for leaving previous review. Im not angry. It has been so hard to get any updates or the appropriate care from the facility. Hospice was recently recommended and Angel Care reached out. They have been so caring, communicative, and have really advocated for her care. I've heard from them more in the last week than I have from the facility in the last 6 months. They really care about their patients and I have great peace of mind knowing they are overseeing her care to make sure she is comfortable and coping well.

When he was unable to progress they kindly encouraged we consider hospice services. I was in denial but it was the kindest thing to do. The hospice services were also top notch. We had Amber and Christie for most of the time. They ensured he was comfortable and helped me learn how to be the best caregiver I could be and helped me with the hardest part of our lives. Rocky was also incredibly helpful and kind. Last but not least we had Lucy the CNA with both services. She was incredibly kind and patient and Steve felt very comfortable with her.
