After the last time of them messing up my appointment, they had gotten better but with this and my favorite waxer being gone I'm done and will be requesting a refund of my wax pass. There were like 6 waxers just sitting in the lobby doing nothing when they informed me they couldn't honor my appointment. Do not go here, this place is toxic and the women running it are stuck up and don't know how to do their jobs. If something gets messed up they don't take responsibility, just blame it on corporate.

She has a single room oasis in a busy little hallway. The room is spacious, inviting, and surprisingly quiet for all the bustle outside. When I got there I was a little unsure if I should knock or not since she had a sign on the door that she was doing a treatment. I tentatively knocked and she popped out to greet me. Luckily I didn't interrupt her with a client, as she was just preparing for my appointment. There's a waiting area at the end of the hall, and if you come in and her door says she's busy, you can plop down and shoot her a text to let her know you've arrived. Then you don't have to worry about bugging other clients. I came in for a wax and she was super professional. Everything was clean and I was totally comfortable. Janette is really sensitive to making sure you have everything you need and she offered tea or water. It's the little things! I will definitely be coming back here for more waxing and might try out a facial. All of her products are organic and her main skincare line is Éminence from Hungary. She said that she talks with her clients about their personal skin types and customizes her facials for each person. Sounds luxurious.

I have been receiving waxing services (Brazilians and eyebrows) for over 6 years now, and was hesitant to visit another esthetician since my last few experiences have been discouraging: hairs left, painful, and rushed. I am thrilled to have found an esthetician close to home who loves their work and really values their clients. Jill has a cozy and clean space located in downtown Hillsboro. She chats with you prior to the waxing experience to make you feel at ease and asks about you general waxing history (how your skin responds, what you are use to, what are your expectations are for the waxing visit). She is very thorough with her work, and ensures you leave the studio happy with the outcome and educated on how to care for your waxed skin. I will definitely be returning to Jill for all my waxing needs!

Her space is always calming, spotless, and so thoughtfully put together, it feels like a reset every time I walk in! Her prices are truly great for the level of care, expertise, and quality she provides. Every appointment feels like such a treat, yet still so accessible. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the products she uses and is always happy to share why something works and how to get the best results. I now buy most of my skincare products directly from her because I trust her recommendations that much. And if there's ever something she's not 100% sure about, she will take the time to research it and follow up. For example, I recently started dealing with perioral dermatitis, and she went out of her way to look into the best approach and set me up with a new regimen. Her appointments are so relaxing and genuinely one of the highlights of my month. I always walk out feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and like I've taken real care of myself. The salon she works in is also adorable and always clean. Every service provider I've interacted with there has been warm, friendly, and welcoming. It's just a great environment overall. If you're looking for someone who is skilled, caring, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in your skin, go see Braylinn. She's truly the best! IG: braysbeautybar

I visited Paige, a stylist I discovered on Instagram (instagram.com/theroothairdesign), and shared…read moremy desired hairstyle. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing. Initially, she apologized and offered to try again at no cost. However, upon my return, she had only made the issue worse, damaging my hair, leaving me to find a new stylist to help fix it, who states it is not safe to do anything to my hair for at least a month or 2 while using very expensive products to help gain the strength in my hair back. I have attached photographs that illustrate each outcome. Paige had given me only 38% back of the cost of the appointment, but had demonstrated a lack of concern/sympathy for addressing the situation or referring me to someone to could help for the traumatic experience she has inflicted upon me with my hair. (To provide context, I am also 32 weeks pregnant, and my confidence is significantly diminished due to the changes in my body. I sought to regain my sense of beauty again through a hair appointment.)
