However I do recommend donating since they put in much effort to offer us a super great experience, they have QR codes all around the house where you can scan and make an easy donation. You can also support by buying their merch which include T shirts in my experience. Their only open on certain days and I highly suggest checking out their Instagram @twisted_dreams_haunt which they post their schedule. To enter you simply step in line and as you near the front they hand you a waiver which is for your entire party, once signed you're ready for a super fun adventure! I also love the fact that they send parties in one by one to ensure a full experience. So no jump scares will be spoiled! But because they do this the lines also take a very long time. So I definitely recommend going on the earlier dates before Halloween because the 31st is often super packed.

I also like how you go through the maze with just you + the people you came with which makes the experience even better since it's focused on your group. It's free to go through the house but would definitely recommend donating so they can keep up the awesome work :) Will be back soon for round two before the 2022 Halloween season is over!

Wow 17th door is back for another spooky season! This year the 17th door brings the fear in what…read moreis probably the most action packed haunt in north america. Every square foot of this haunt is frightfully alive. 17 focuses on great actors and inventive non stop scares with dozens and dozens of monsters throughout all 17 rooms. Makeup and special effects are just amazing. This is a haunter's haunt that attracts the best talent around. Expect to be thrilled, scared, shocked and delighted. These monsters ain't shy, so strap in, you are in for a wild ride! Before you visit any other haunted attractions, visit 17th door first. It's in a league of its own. Sure you can tromp around another huge, overpriced, overcrowded, "just ok" theme park haunt with the same worn out mazes and the same bored rubber masked zombies doing the same tired old pop up gags you see every year, or you can do 17 and see the industry's best veteran scare actors who bring the fright night after night. Easy free parking too right in front of the main entrance. Highly recommend.

Back for round 3 at The 17th Door! I first went in 2015 and then again in 2022. I'll be honest, I…read morewas seriously bummed when I found out there'd be no Field Trip this year....that was hands down one of the coolest things I've ever experienced in a haunt. That said (and without spoiling a thing), this year's production absolutely exceeded my expectations. No cheesy jump scares here, instead they go straight for the deep seated phobias, the stuff that actually gets under your skin. The execution? Beautifully done. Creative, intense, and immersive from start to finish. Still holding out hope that the Field Trip makes a comeback one day. If I had a magic Halloween genie, that's the first wish I'd cash in. Tips: - whole experience is about 45 minutes long - Wear comfortable shoes, you'll be moving, ducking, and maybe running for your life - VIP tix so worth it if you go when it's packed, you skip the line straight to the front - If you're nervous or easily freaked out, grab the mercy pendant - You might get wet in a few spots, so plan accordingly with your hair and makeup situation - And please, pray with me that they bring the Field Trip back, it deserves a resurrection!!!!

Amazing, absolutely amazing, home haunt that a family and a ton of local student actors have put on…read morefor a handful of years now. This was the first year I had heard about it and since one of our beloved nearby Torrance Haunts, the incredible Haunted Shack is very sadly no more, we absolutely had to visit Fairbrook Manor, even if it was a little bit of a trek from Rancho Palos Verdes. The Haunt is open on select weekend nights in October and we went around 8pm on Saturday, October 18th. There was a good sized line at that time but it moves pretty quickly. Parking along the street is tough; they even have traffic coordinators to help guide cars through. I parked not 5 minutes' walk away on Bellflower where there was ample street parking. I'd say our wait was probably 20 minutes. One worker estimated it to be a 30 minute wait when we started and another said 45 (and was offering fast passes for $75 per group). We decided to wait and donated $5/each for the 4 of us. Proceeds benefit the Long Beach Rescue Mission. We loved all the kid actors wandering the street and coming up to glare at us while we waited. Costumes and makeup were great. The maze itself was really impressive and it took a good few minutes to walk through it with some jump scares along the way. The first few rooms were filled with cool, old creepy things and the storyline was good, too. Fairbrook Manor is open from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19, as well as Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 from 12 to 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A scare-free, display-only daytime tour will be available on Halloween. Donation bins will remain outside the house until Nov. 2. Even if you drive by on a weekday, the outside decs are great, too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This wasn't just an escape room; it was a deeply immersive, high-stakes horror experience. What sets this game apart is how incredibly engaging it is. They offer a choice between contact and full-contact levels, and if you really want the ultimate experience, you absolutely must opt for the full-contact version. It elevated the intensity and made the game feel so much more visceral and real. A huge part of why this was such a standout experience was our Game Master, Marcus. He was phenomenal--professional, attentive, and he truly knew how to guide the game to maximize both the scares and the fun. If you're planning to visit, I highly recommend requesting Marcus as your GM. We had an unforgettable time.
