Really haunted y'all. Resident ghosts from the great hurricane about still lurk in this old school side show where hundreds of bodies were stored after the great storm. My kids are 16 and 17 and still love coming here. When they were real young, my daughter was too scared to go in. Lots of fun for kids of all ages. If lucky you might see a real ghost!

Ok.. I'm giving 5 due to the staff, although the concept of the haunted mansion was great the best part was the interaction between guest and narrator. It's about $14 for both attractions. Just do both of them. The mansion experience is about 10-15 min including short videos and introduction. You can spend as long as you want in the pirate experience. The good "doctor" was awesome, he stayed in character throughout, he was very convincing. He popped out at all the right spots and definitely had me jumping on a few occasions. The manager of the exhibit was super friendly and knowledgeable.. they both seemed to really like their jobs and that made a huge difference in the way our experience mapped out. It was fun, cute way to spend some time on the island. This isn't really scary but I would say 10 and older.

I was so disappointed by this. There isn't anything haunted about it. You go through a few rooms as the evil doctor leads you through them. Then in the end he makes you stay in the room with him pretending you can't get out. He was actually really annoying and I didn't like how he got right in my face. I left feeling like i wasted money going here.

We love visiting here every time we are in Galveston. Fun place for the kids- we all enjoyed the haunted house.

It's a fun little outing for the kids and I. I would go again. It will occupy some time but worth it.

Cute little place. The actor was totally into it. Only reason I deducted a star is because it was so small and quick.

A premium paid parking lot is located directly across from the pier, but we chose to hunt for parking instead. Luckily, we found free beach access parking near 33rd Street. Pleasure Pier offers waterfront fun and entertainment with rides, carnival games and souvenir shops. Fries - $5 (Fries weren't even hot! Room temperature at best) Dos Equis beer - $11 Galveston Beach isn't the prettiest. According to what I've read, there's a lot of silt/sediment from the Mississippi River that flows through the area. There is a bacteria monitoring program in place to test the waters frequently and Galveston Beach is usually safe for swimming. Galveston Beach and Pleasure Pier are best experienced in cooler weather.

I went with my family for my son's birthday, as we do annually, a tradition that's about 8 years old. We went prior and post COVID. But over time it's gotten very meh. Glad there's no loyalty program, this park it awful. TLDR: It was a Saturday, yesturday (07/19). We arrived early like we always do. We had to purchase a ticket at the gate for a friend for a whooping $87. It was never this high despite corporate takeover & website's claims of no prices changes. We all thought, okay for that amount it must be good. Nope- Terrible. Half of the rides were closed. The very rides they boasted about online, were closed. The only fun & thrills you got was seeing your money vanish. Half the restrooms were closed. Most of the food huts were closed. My son usually gets the works when we go. So whatever he wants to do/eat, we do that. Overpriced food is one of those things. But there was no Dippin Dots or no pizza spots opened. No smell of their usual bbq station. My husband said he passed by a hut that offered chicken strips. Online they claim there's 16 food locations. My butt there was 16. Some of the little huts look like they hadn't been used in a year. (But it's still mid summer people! So it's busy!) Plenty of full stocked empty drink fountains though, *yawn.* Yet it was sunny, then mildly cloudy, and scorching-hot sunny again. I'll paint a picture: Last year they still had many rides opened even during a summer storm warning. One year people on the MASSIV ride got stuck 2x in an 2-3 hour period, guess what? They still fixed it & reopened it within a few hours. They were having life guard training. Weird. Not because they were having it during regular hours. (that's not the first time we've came & they had it. they almost always do.) It's weird because it looked like they closed off most of park for it? (Most modern theme parks give notice of closed rides, renovations, etc. Not them, they think the element of suprise is still cute.) This was the 1st time it felt like a waste of money & trip to Galveston. The entire park has never felt like an over priced swimming pool before. Yes. We paid for an over priced swimming pool because the lazy river that has a "thrill" portion was down too. It was just that. The lines were too long for the little bit of slides they did have open. The lazy river basically was my gateway to see entire park & it was bad. A couple of slides had water running but not once did they open it. Here's the river kicker: can't ride lazy river without a life jacket or wrist band. To get wrist band you must sign waiver. But life jackets are requried for everyone that doesn't sign a waiver. The waiver is only for those 18+. The waiver isn't mentioned until you get into the lazy river by an employee. Glorious, you get to waste time walking back to the front to sign a form that should have been on their website, NOT app. I don't want your terrible 2-bit app. I overheard others complain about that. Sure you can take QR route & sign but guess what? You have to download the app and STILL get in line to get the wrist band. You saved 0 time. We usually make it a thing to go from open to close. We left early. No use, or need to stay any longer. Nothing changed. Nothing open else opened up. Packed picnics lunches for nothing. Do better Sclitterbahn or you'll be a thingof the past like Jungle Surf.

Don't waste your time or money at this attraction!…read more The Shark Attack 5D theater is located across from Pleasure Pier. It was July and we thought it would be a good place seek refuge from the sweltering heat and humidity before the sunset. I did notice that the attraction only had 2 stars on Yelp, but was willing to take a risk. It looked similar to some sort of immersive ride like Indiana Jones. My 6yo picked the Mysterious Underworld over the Shark Attack. The ticket attendant was an inattentive young teen. I asked when the show was going to begin and he let out a loud sigh and said "I don't know, it might be now or maybe longer. Stand in that line." He pointed to the shaded Mysterious Underworld outdoor waiting area. We were waiting in the space while other attendees were rudely smoking cigarettes around us. 5 mins turned to 30 mins. My son started to show signs of overheating so I asked the attendant again and he sighed and said I don't know! So we went into the other line for the 5D shark attack which was moving faster. When we got inside they said we were in the wrong line. We walked inside to our ticketed Underworld attraction and told the operator that we were outside for over a 30 mins. She angrily kicked us out and told us to go back outside. We asked if we could be inside with the A/C and said our son was overheating and she insisted that we go back outside because it wasn't our turn. I was livid and was working on getting our money back especially since there were no apologies for the miscommunication from the staff. Suddenly, 10 mins later the operator let us in and we decided to just go on the ride since it would've been faster than me trying to ask the attendant for my money back. The graphics were pretty horrible, and we got some sort of mysterious liquid splashed on our face from the creepy skeleton on the screen. Ok so the only reason I'm giving it two stars is because my 6yo son said that he actually enjoyed the ride. Honestly, though they need to have better organization, directions and training of their staff. There also should be an upgraded waiting area so attendees don't pass out from the heat.

First since I have worked retail I could understand that if I was inside but not in my car, two you don't send employees to strangers cars to do that - it is dangerous.
