My work schedule and their pick up schedule doesn't always line up, for me. When the stars align…read moreand I'm able to pick it up, I always order. Order online on Wednesday pick up on a set weekend time and day. Pick up is quick and the food is always piping hot. The chicken wings were lightly smoked with this wonderful hoisin, garlicky, sticky sauce. The wings were so good. The rack of ribs were huge, with a beautiful bark. The brisket is always a crowd favorite. Some slices are the fatty side, other slices from the lean side. It's a perfect combination. The pulled pork is smoky and salty in the best way possible. The provided mustard bbq sauce always goes so well with the pulled pork. What dawned on me was the quality of the meats. Not a lot of excessive fat on any of the meats. The pork belly burnt ends are to die for. A smoky sweet glaze over this perfect bite size chunks of pork belly burnt ends. The Mac and cheese, potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw are all flavorful on their own. I applaud a chef who spends just as much time on the sides as the mains. It makes for a perfect meal. Almost forgot about the house made pickles, they provide a nice reset to all the richness of the meal. Thank you chef Logan and the whole crew for a perfect meal.

Have I really not reviewed this place? No way! I am an OG supporter of Zef BBQ since the covid days…read moreof driving up in a car to get the goods. And it's always been good! Can BBQ in Simi Valley be THAT good? Well, yes BECAUSE we are talking 'bout a good dude (and family) with an open mind and kind heart that brings that to his food. In what ways? Let's give an example - by taking chances with flavor - in the case of the past weekend for ISLAND OF ZEF. Like c'mon Logan be making loco moco AND bahn mi with island vibes and that 'cue smoke! And he's doing it out of a small as* kitchen with just a few staff, churning these orders out for the people. This is home-cooked value. This is local love and support for a business that gives back to its community. So what tips do I got? 1) Burnt ends hit all the time 2) Nanner pudding even better after you freeze it 3) Order early and chill in line - yep it can take a minute but good things come to those who wait 4) This dude SEASONS the food so don't be surprised 5) Themed weekends are a great way to explore outside of your everyday bbq comfort zone 6) Don't be sad if you don't see "Zef" live and in the flesh. I promise you 99 percent of the time he is back there prepping your shi! 7) Follow him on social media and be entertained (Do I have critiques? I mean nothing is ever perfect but you can directly share with him and he responds. And things continue to get better! I have witnessed the work and the growth and it's been awesome to watch!) @this_camera_eats_first

Xiome, the owner, created a kid-friendly business with really fun and elaborate RC tracks that is so easy to race even as a first timer. I had the best afternoon here with my friends as we raced around the track and conquered the obstacles on the car track. We then went to the food truck and had THE BEST Colombian food on earth. The steak skewer and cheese empanadas were my favorite. They were made with such intricate spices and the empanada made a beautiful cheese pull when we broke it in half to share. Every arepa variety on the menu was delightful as well, and such a unique addition to Simi Valley. There are also burger options for those craving a more All-American food experience. Whether you're in the mood for RC racing, delicious Colombian food, or both, Off Road is an absolute must try - with the added perk of supporting a small business when you come here as well! HIGHLY recommend. DELICIOUS, FUN, and the staff here is so incredibly kind.

There are also cameras on the track so you can watch the action on the monitor too. Conveniently right in the same lot is a food truck here that serves what they call wheels, which are like sandwiches or burgers but the buns reminds me of pupusas or fry bread. They said it's actually white corn and gluten free. Fun activity and the kids can't wait to go back. Nice and unique local place in Simi. Good throwback music too.

We love discovering new vendors, and we already have a few go-to favorites. Right next to the food trucks is a small farmers market too, which is a great bonus. They have a really nice selection of fresh fruits and different vendors selling all kinds of unique items. Overall, it's a perfect little community activity -- great food, relaxed vibe, and a fun way to support local small businesses and vendors. We always enjoy coming here!

Everyone is friendly and you can tell people enjoy going to get there food there in a Friday night. Most of the vendors take all forms of payment. The streets are clean and there are plenty trash cans to keep the area clean after you eat. Def. Going back for more!
