What I particularly appreciate is how attentive their drivers are to surroundings. Our old dog (hard of hearing and losing vision) was behind the truck (my fault for not watching her better that day) as the driver was getting ready to back up. I ran towards the truck, he saw me and waited until I picked up the dog. Every interaction with drivers and back office has been good. No long term contracts at least in our area. I recommend Highland.

One one side of the facility you can bring cardboard and other mixed recycling of the sort that you probably also get picked up at home, as well as scrap metal (separate bins for aluminum and non-aluminum) and organics. But the drive-inside section is where you can give them old or broken electronics, chemicals such as cleaning supplies, and hazardous waste. They also take plastic bags and similar plastic film. Some things they won't take include styrofoam, construction debris, or any appliances with freon such as freezers or air conditioners. There is a whole indoor section with large room of reuse shelves. It is filled with paints and chemical supplies that were brought in for disposal, but they deemed them reusable. (NOTE: there are limits to the number of visits and items you can take; see my pics.) And they have a calendar of programs such as a "fix-in clinic" where community members will try to fix broken stuff you bring in, and gently-used school supply drives. Also there is a small free library! (NOTE: don't give it books, just take them. Give books to an actual library instead.) I do not recommend companies easily, but this company goes above and beyond. I just moved from MN to MA, and called Brent. He responded with a quick - "we can do it - let me find a driver" Jim, the Director of Ops did the drive. He is where I say they go above and beyond... On Monday, Jim and the crew had the house emptied in no time and loaded. We did a walk through, and coordinated our schedules. He then told me his itinerary and that he would text me each night. I was leaving Tuesday Morning and we both planned on being in MA on Wednesday evening. It went seamless. I heard from Jim each night, and again Thursday morning as he was headed to the new home with my furniture and goods. Like the loading of the truck, the unloading went just as smooth. In the end, not even a glass was cracked, everything was put where I wanted it, Jim was communicating the whole time, and the final price was within the quote. The company is great to work with, the employees are even better. Thanks for your service over the years GSM.

When the movers arrived there were three, really? They handled the move well however at the conclusion my electric fireplace doesn't work anymore AND the bill I was given was for $784 and change. I said I'm not paying that because that isn't the amount I was quoted and there were supposed to be two men not three. The gentleman insisted that was the quote he was given by his boss. We went back and forth and then I said I was going to call his boss and ask if they had made a mistake. When I said that he said fine you can have the move for $500 plus tax!! I haven't put a claim in for the fireplace yet so we'll see what happens when I do. Will I use Good Stuff Moving again? Probably not. Would I recommend them? Not sure.
