One offered to come to my house/town for lessons because I was commuting (I declined) and continued to offer this accommodation that I never asked for. When I was to have surgery, I informed my voice instructor, Bekah, that I wanted to resume lessons as soon as possible thereafter. She encouraged me to take as much time off as needed, but when I needed more time, she abruptly canceled our lessons. Since developing talent thrives in an atmosphere of support and encouragement, it's unsettling that an instructor would, on one hand, tell you you have potential, and then turn around and capriciously drop you as a student without advising you of a cancellation policy. (There was none.). Hopefully they will retain better instructors in the future as music and the arts are so very important.

I went in to this pawn shop planning to purchase a guitar if they had one I liked. I was greeted by…read morean older gentleman who I suspect was the owner and he asked if I needed any help. I told him I was just looking at his guitars. He hovered around and I asked him if he plays guitar. His response was a short, "yeah". Still no big deal, but not friendly. I spotted a nicely priced, and beautiful guitar so, I asked to see it. He obliged and got it down for me. I then was looking for a place to sit to play it a little (I pretty much already decided to buy it, but I usually never buy a guitar without playing it first). He then said, "Oh, planning on staying a while?". I just wanted to play it a bit before buying. I was so turned off by his customer service. I seriously felt like he was treating me like a criminal. I decided not to buy it and am really upset. It was beautiful. I refuse to give my money to someone so ungrateful for a paying customer. No one on this street in any of these shops treated me like this. He was the only one. The price to fix it was FIFTEEN DOLLARS. That was the cheapest I've seen at any hobby shop and he was open at the perfect time I'll change my review if anything happens hopefully it goes well.

When I went to return it today he said " I told you it was used and will not accept it for return". I told him I did not touch only to see the unit and he said that how does he know that I didn't substitute a non-working unit?" Well I never test his new/old stock out of the box so good question. But the idea of not accepting returns rubbed me the wrong way since it was described as new/old stock. He could have tested the unit before a return but I feel I was lied to and was never told he would not accept this as a return. So sad never have to go into this store again!!
