My uncle, Joe Lyons, was present to meet the towing company on my behalf. I specifically instructed him to ensure that the tow truck operator jump-started the vehicle so it could be placed in "neutral tow mode" before being loaded onto the truck. This step is necessary to prevent transmission or suspension damage. However, after the tow was completed, my uncle informed me that the tow truck operator stated they did not have a jump starter and proceeded to drag the vehicle onto the tow truck while it was still in "park." I expressed my concerns immediately, knowing this could cause significant damage. Hatch's Towing and Recovery: WHATEVER you do DO NOT use this company. They unsuccessfully hooked up to try to tow our Corvette and set off our air bag alert, causing us $350 in repairs. AAA is who sent them. Now Hatch's is lying to AAA and saying they never touched our car. My husband was standing there and asked the guy if he had ever towed a Corvette before and Hatch's said NO. When the front fiberglass started bending, my husband said STOP, unhook and do not go any further. Hatch's suggested putting 2 x 4's in front to drive up on and we said NO. Hatch's suggested backing the car onto the trailer and we said NO. Now Hatch Towing is lying to AAA and saying they never touched the car. L I A R S plain and simple!!! Jimmy is a 10! Last Sunday stuck at the Orange Information Center for 3 hours. Soon as he arrived he was very polite concern and very happy to assist. Very friendly talkative and logical. I enjoyed our conversations, he made the commute to our destination comfortable. He was very knowledge of his job and expressed how much he love what he do. He represents the company very well and stands on business. Because of Jimmy, making this a great experience, I would highly recommend this company and will pass on the excellent service that was provided. However, at the end there was a slight misunderstanding of our destination address change. The address change was not relayed to the driver. He proved himself to be reliable and trustworthy. Absolutely TERRIBLE experience! We waited for THREE hours in 95 degree heat while the driver delayed our job to do other jobs. Then, he arrived to where we needed the tow done today, and to say he was unprofessional would be an understatement. Not only was he mouthy, but then ended up DRIVING OFF and not doing the tow for us because he would need to wait five minutes for the locksmith to get the door opened. Saturday July 1st . We had a long day waiting for a tow from Port Arthur to Pasadena. My husband and I were frustrated with waiting. We started calling AAA at 11:30 am.
