This would have been a perfect pool party if it wasn't for the NOISE POLLUTION BLASTING OUT OF SEVERAL SPEAKERS. FIX IT OR TURN IT OFF.

The staff tends to be on the younger side when I've come, but they enforce the rules fairly and I have never felt like they were neglectful about their duties (sometimes that's just ringing me up, sometimes it's answering my boys' questions - they've always been good). My sister and I took my niece and nephew to this aquatic center over the weekend and I was blown…read moreaway! We arrived early on a Saturday afternoon and found parking ride outside the center. We even scored a shaded spot, woohoo! The temps were mid 80's, so we were really happy to see plenty of shade so when we got back to the car, we wouldn't be scorched. After checking in (the sister has season passes, so it was really easy), we found three lawn chairs and settled into our space for the afternoon. Towels laid out, sunscreen applied, and we were ready to go. One of the first things I noticed was how clean the place was. There wasn't a single piece of trash in sight and the water was crystal clear. There is a lazy river, two giant slides, a lap pool, a kiddie area, and diving boards! Throughout the afternoon we explore each area but my favorite was definitely the lazy river and slides. There were plenty of life guards on hand and I loved how every hour they offered a 15 minute "adult swim." Over 18 only! However, adults with children under two were also allowed. I will definitely be back this summer with the family and I highly recommend giving this place a visit if you're looking to cool off.

The Dublin rec center gives you a free in-body test when you buy fitness passes which is a very…read morenice little perk but it's almost impossible to schedule it. I tried calling both the people (T & H, for short) who administer the test to schedule it and neither one called me back. I also texted one of them (H) and never heard back. So I called the rec center and they gave me the email for H. I emailed him and he replied and we scheduled it. Then, two hours before the time we had scheduled, he emailed me and said he would be teaching a class at that time and could I do it myself? I had never paid attention to the set-up of the procedure so I said no. So he said he would get someone to cover for him and he'd be there at our scheduled time. I got there early and waited about 15 minutes before I went to the front desk to tell them I needed help with the scheduled test. The person followed me back to the in-body room and pointed to a man and said "That's H". So he was out in the hallway having a conversation and I was waiting (at that point nearly 20 minutes) for him. He came in and gave me the test. Some version of this happens every 3 months when I buy new passes and have to run the gauntlet to get my free test and it is extremely frustrating.
