This was my personal experience;…read more Even if you have been a previous patient within Yale Medical for years but are a new patient with the Yale Orthopedic & Rehab, expect a long wait for an appointment, at least for Dr. Gibson anyway. Even as a prior patient of Doctor Gibson beyond three years of seeing him last you are considered a new patient. Do not be fooled by a non-existent waiting list either, every time I called there to ask if there's been a cancellation they added me to it, nor the false hope of calling daily for a possible cancelation opening as you will learn below. I've had knee pain now for several months and I scheduled an appointment with Doctor Gibson for March of 2023, acquired in November of 2022. I've made numerous calls to try and obtain an earlier appointment due to a cancellation, as directed by Yale staff when I called to schedule my original appointment. I was advised to call daily by several people that schedule appointments. On December 19, 2022, I was told there was a cancellation in January of 2023. When the receptionist learned I was a new patient, I was told "Oh sorry, you're not eligible for this appointment as a new patient." A complete contradiction to what I was advised back in November and most every time I called. How can an open appointment not be available to a patient, whether that patient is new or existing!? To say the least I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated with Yale Orthopedics & Rehabilitation. Good luck to all new patients. Connecticut Orthopedics is a great alternative. Kurt T

As a result of a job that required a ridiculous amount of pushing furniture, carrying my office with me everywhere and not having a desk caused more damage than necessary. When a second shot of cortisone didn't work, Dr. Halim suggested I wear a brace to protect my wrist. In 2017 I found that surgery was the next step. I am no stranger to going under so I was fine with that. An MRI revealed arthritis as well so I was glad to be rid of it. After surgery I was in a cast followed by therapy. All one place, the doctors and nurses are professional and do their best to get you in and out quickly. Dr. Halim also has another office where appointments may be easier. She is kind and I am pain free.

I went in as a non-believer, but oh my goodness! Was I ever wrong! Jessie and Stephanie were vital in helping me get my range of motion better! There was a time when I couldn't reach back with my left arm to put on my seatbelt without almost crying in pain. I had trouble in the shower washing my back. I had trouble putting on my winter coat. I had trouble getting dressed by myself, and would have to recruit my husband or daughter in order for me to get my clothes on without yelping in pain. AON has given me the use of my arm back! Once again, I was a non-believer - now I would encourage anyone to get there ASAP if they need Physical Therapy. It helped to change my life for the better! Still kind of in shock... waiting for someone to pinch me because I truly…read morecan't believe how quickly I went from extreme pain to feeling like myself again within a few days. For context, I'm in my late 30s and have dealt with a herniated disc in my neck and cervical spondylosis (hereditary + a bad car accident) for ~15 years. My flare-ups are usually debilitating... days or even weeks of being stuck in bed. Lately they've been worse and lasting longer. This most recent one hit out of nowhere, 2 weeks after I thought I was recovering after a round of steroids and muscle relaxers... I woke up in the middle of the night with intense, electric pain shooting from my neck down my arm. Even breathing and the impact from just walking hurt my neck. I was honestly considering the ER. To add to the chaos... this was a few days before a Disney trip with my family. I found PMR Danbury while desperately Google searching that morning... and from the first phone call, I knew I was in the right place. Christina was incredibly kind, calm, and efficient... she got me in within the hour and handled everything so quickly (TY again Christina!! You are so wonderful). Then I met Dr. Tilden... and man.... there are no words. He listened thoroughly, assessed everything through an exam/X-rays, and got to work with a level of confidence and skill that instantly put me at ease (even though I was terrified to have anyone touch my neck). He used a mix of treatments (TENS, heat, cupping, stretching, adjustments)... and I felt about 70% relief right there. I genuinely couldn't believe it. All of this in 1-2 hours from consult, X-rays, to immediate treatment same day. He saw me each morning after that to keep the progress going before my trip... and I'm now ~95% better. I never would've dreamt that kind of recovery.. I was totally happy with that 70% and didn't think it could improve that drastically. That speed of recovery is unreal for me based on YEARS of dealing with this. I've done PT, injections, meds... nothing compares to the care, precision, and results I've experienced here. Dr. Tilden is truly exceptional at what he does and the entire experience from start to finish has been stellar.. they have everything you could possibly need there + the best in class to perform these treatments. My advice... If you're in pain/limited physically in any way, don't wait. Don't second guess it. Just book the appointment. You'll be forever grateful you did. I am so incredibly thankful for Dr. Tilden, Christina, and the entire PMR Danbury team... your impact is seriously life changing -- nothing beats having quality of life and being pain-free. I was put into the hands of Dr Craig Tilden. This man saved me. The pain I was experiencing was excruciating!! Over the next month the Doc put me back together.
