Our vision for the day was a bright, colorful, fun, swanky mid-century cocktail party, and we knew that Mary's style, composition, crisp images, and love of color were exactly what we wanted. Our engagement session in Palm Springs was a sneak peek at what we were in store for with the wedding. The photos were perfect, and she was willing to lean into what we were about (cocktails) and our personalities. The wedding photos are to die for. She captured us so well. The color, the details, the ambiance, the feels, the sexiness, she got it all, and they are just perfect. We had a very curated and detailed wedding, and she caught every detail in her bright, beautiful style. Mary, as a person, is a dream to work with. She is so kind and sweet, but she also has no issue with giving directions or saying if something just doesn't look right. She has an eye for detail and composition, and it shows. I will forever be grateful that we found Mary. I will never stop recommending her. And if you are lucky, and she is available for your wedding date, book her. Do not hesitate. Mary is a gem!

We got engaged back in March 2021, and knowing that it was going to be pretty chaotic competing with other newly-engaged couples and those rescheduling their weddings to book vendors, we began all of our searching immediately. But it took almost no time to decide on Mary as soon as we saw her portfolio--her aesthetic is bold, bright, and beautiful, and eschews a somewhat Wes Anderson-y vibe that spoke directly to us and the look we had begun to envision. After reaching out to Mary to express our interest and to confirm her availability for our July 2022 wedding date, we connected via Facetime about a week or two later to hash out more details and frankly just to get to know each other better. We hit it off immediately--she was so personable, charming, and already super knowledgeable about our wedding venue, which was a wonderful added bonus. We couldn't sign the contract and send our deposit fast enough after the call had ended! In the months that followed our excitement only grew with every new post we would see her add on Instagram of her latest shoot that she did for lucky couple after lucky couple, week after week. After months of anticipation we were finally approaching time to schedule our engagement shoot. We had a few ideas, preferably against a mural or on the beach, and Mary not only offered some recommendations but suggested that we could do *both*, and put together an itinerary to make it happen that would accommodate us dropping off our dog after the first location, and a wardrobe change for the second. She was so amazing to work with, made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera, and extracted out of us the pure joy that my wife and I feel when we are with each other, and was able to perfectly capture that in every photo that she took. Despite her overwhelmingly busy schedule she was still able to get us the full session & a plethora of impeccably edited selects to us in the promised timeline of 6 weeks. On the big day we were seamlessly guided from spot to spot at our venue by Mary and her assistant to take care of all of the shots from our predetermined shot list, plus any additional photos we wanted taken, like extra pics with our family, as well as me hanging out in the parlor pre-ceremony with some of my closest friends. Mary also basically served as an extra coordinator, keeping us on schedule and also allowing us to have the space and time we needed for ourselves at certain points throughout the night. She provided previews of our photos only a week and a half (!) later, and they are amazing...it truly is unbelievable how present she was for our biggest moments while at the same time blending into the background to let the whole night unfold organically and not having it look or feel staged or forced in any way. We're so deeply grateful and appreciative of how talented Mary is, and how thoughtful she was during our whole journey, and we can't wait to see the full set of pics from our wedding. Her passion for what she does truly shows through all of her work, and having anyone else in our corner during the most important times of our lives would have been a massive mistake. We are looking forward to seeing her and working with her again, hopefully sometime soon!

I honestly had no idea what to expect when working with a professional photographer but her service was exceptional. She's super friendly, easy-going, efficient, and communicative. Everything went unbelievably smoothly. We had Elyana for 2 hours during our elopement and she made it so fun and easy to be in front of a camera. She provided a lot of much-needed direction and our session went by so quickly and smoothly. She even helped grab my veil when I forgot it in my suite! I'm not photogenic so I was nervous about looking like a total derp after many wonderful vendors had put so much work into my hair, makeup, dress, and florals... But her artistic sense and prompting really made for some amazing pictures. She works fast! Sneak peeks and full gallery were received well before their promise dates. Granted, it probably helped that we only had a 2 hour elopement session, but the speedy turnaround time is super appreciated nonetheless. The one struggle I have from working with her is trying to pick which beautiful images will be displayed in our home. Thank you so much for these photos that we will cherish forever!

Since it would be something very small and intimated there was no need to plan it with months or years in advance. I contacted Elyana a month prior to our wedding date which is when my husband and I started planning everything. Elyana was quick to respond and since it would be on a Thursday she was luckily available. About a week after our call my husband and I had a change of plans and we no longer wanted to get married in Pasadena. I came across San Juan Capistrano Mission and I immediately knew that would be the place I wanted to elope. However, after doing some research I found out that you cannot elope inside, it's only available for photography session. Regardless, that was the place I wanted my pictures in. I came up with a plan to get married at a courthouse not too far from there and then have Elyana take the pictures there. I explain to her the change of plans and she was quickly onboard. I always had a vision of how I would want our pictures to turn out. This was very important to us since we were not having a wedding and the pictures would be one of the biggest memories aside from having our close family and friends at the courthouse witnessing our union. I had briefly explain to Elyana in the very beginning that I wanted a chic vibe (I didn't know at that time but later I found out the style I liked was a bit more editorial). I sent one single picture to Elyana about a week before just to give her an idea of what I envisioned. AND SHE FLAWLESSLY DELIVERED. My husband and I are SO extremely happy with the pictures. I am in awe of the work she created. She understood what I was looking for and made it happen. She worked her magic and was so very sweet. Her energy and charisma made our day that much more special. THANK YOU Elyana, you are so talented and amazing!!!
