Failed to completely/successfully complete the entire job and it's nearly twenty-one months later…read more Too, they were to rebuild from the ground up, didn't. They left the rotten, moldy, damaged floors in our home despite being paid to replace all the flooring in our home. The tubs they replaced are much smaller than what we had forcing us to be rubbing elbows with the walls while in the tub/shower. They damage the tub in the master bathroom and the one downstairs and failed to repair it as promised. They used very cheap wood when replacing our supposed to be new fence and they already splitting from top to bottom. The support slacks appear to be bulging out and splitting from top too bottom. The wood on the fence all way around the yard is bending up/outward from ground towards the neighbors yard/fence. The master bedroom is freezing as though it has no insulation and/or its vents are not connected. Several trimmings in the floor boards appear to be old/worn out and not replaced (new) though they were paid to replace them. Exterior Doors, locks, and casings not replaced (new) despite they were paid to replace them all. Hot water tank has a piece missing seen as a building code violation. Flooring upstairs and downstairs are rotten, moldy, caving/sinking, warped, has several noticeable burn spots, etc. The exterior landscaping was not replaced (they threw black garbage bags down, two additional (different from the original fat rocks) types (both are different colors and sizes) of rocks, dead flowers nearly placed beneath and or any kind of way; added a dead highlight tree imitating a Chinese maple tree - a total eyesore. They damaged our backyard by poring the concrete in it and/or adding wood pieces in it. They failed to replace the splitting concrete beneath back porch deck. Left nails sticking out if the exterior siding and didn't properly close siding areas. Didn't replace railings in home despite paid for, damaged neighbors fence and failed to repair, our daughter ended up a victim of identity theft after our home was released to them to discard all of our belonging/property following our house fire, etc.

I got a prompt reply from someone named Chad, which was promising since he was so quick to respond and let me know that he could call me on Monday to discuss (this was a Friday) or I could call their office. I thanked him for his quick response, gave him my contact information, and told him I looked forward to hearing from him on Monday. Well, Monday came and went and I heard nothing from anyone, so I called the number that was listed in his reply and left a voicemail asking for a call back to schedule an estimate or discuss further. It has now been more than a month and I still haven't heard from this company. If they are this bad at communicating from the start, I would not have high hopes for actually working with them. I was disappointed since the Yelp reviews were promising. I'm glad that others have had better experiences with Knoble Engineering and was hoping I would be able to add to their positive reviews, but unfortunately that was not the case. I don't feel it makes sense for me to chase someone that I am trying to give my business to. Luckily, I found another engineer for my project that has been far more responsive.

Their second look inspection on my potential home purchased help identify a fair amount of issue that allowed for a significant price reduction on the home. They did an outstanding detailed job and explained everything very plainly. I would highly recommend them for any inspection needs or structural engineering design/support.

My list of dissatisfaction with this company could go on for days but I'll try to keep it specific…read more After a tree feel into my home in March 2025 I was connected to PDR through my insurance provider. They completed the mitigation, pack out and return but I chose not to hire them for the restoration of my home after a rocky first impression. I hired a different contractor that went horribly wrong. Despite not having a very high opinion of PDR and I ended up hiring them to undo and correct everything the original bad contractor did. They had to completely rip out a poorly installed tiled shower and replace with a cheaper fiberglass surround complete with a handheld and overhead rainshower fixture. PDR sub-contracted the job to PDP. After installing the fiberglass surround and shower fixture the worker was unable to get the water to turn on. He had failed to check the connections before installing the walls. He also assumed the lines were installed correctly, despite my telling them multiple times and him seeing first hand that the previous contractor did everything wrong. The PDP worker had to remove the wall he had just installed to locate the issue. He found the problem and made the correction but again failed to check the rest of the plumbing lines and proceeded to re-install the wall. Now the shower is fully installed but water is coming from the handheld and the overhead rainshower and the diverter doesn't work. The worker insisted the diverter had to be bad. I decided to use the diverter from another shower and hired a plumber from Estes to install it. With just a brief visual observation, he determined it was likely not an issue with the diverter and rather an issue with the connections behind the wall. (This is the level of professional knowledge I expect from a major reputable company.) We confirmed his suspicion by comparing pictures I have of the plumbing behind the wall to the diagrams in the shower installation manual. They were indeed not the same. PDR's claim is that they did not do the plumbing behind the wall so therefore they are not responsible. But PDR was hired to UNDO and REpair all of the bad work done by the previous contractor. THAT WAS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THIS JOB! I was very clear about what I needed fixed, EVERYTHING! They SHOULD HAVE done the plumbing behind the wall, or at least identified and made me aware of the issue before proceeding with the installation of the shower wall and fixture. I don't know why it was not included in the estimate because I stated several times everything done by the bad contractor was BAD. I am not familiar with the intricacies of construction estimates but when I saw the shower faucet listed on the estimate for installation I believed that included the necessary work to properly install a fully functioning shower. None the less, if the issue had been properly diagnosed and brought to my attention as it should have been, I would have approved any amendments to the estimate to have the job completed correctly. I thought I was hiring a top notch professional restoration company. It would seem to me that a skilled professional would double check for accuracy in the plumbing BEFORE sealing the wall especially considering the entire focus of this job is to correct the mistakes of an inexperienced contractor. This level of incompetency and negligence makes me feel like I hired yet another fraudulent company. I would like Paul Davis Restoration to do whatever work is required to correctly install my shower faucet as agreed and to make any repairs needed to the shower wall and surrounding areas impacted by this correction without charge.
