Food here was incredibly salty--from the sushi rice, to the shrimp and sauce. $8.95 for a mini (2 scoops) $10.95 for a regular (3 scoops) $12.95 for a large (4 scoops) They have 4 choices for sides-crab, wakame, ika, and edamame. Lots of options for add ins and sauces, as well. Service here was lacking. All of their staff seemed lost and were not paying attention to customers orders. Asked for no green/white onion and they messed up and added green onions. However, they realized this after they scooped them in and had to start the assembly line process over. Only plus is that the cashier was lost/not paying attention and didn't charge us for avocado ($1 extra). read more

Some of the best and freshest poke I've had. I love that the spicy tuna has no sauce and is very fresh and very spicy. Sometimes spicy tuna feels like a way to sell you less fresh tuna. The employees are nice and helpful. Drink selection is limited but they had what I like to drink. Would definitely recommend if you want some good fresh poke! read more

I'm going to echo some of my fellow Yelpers sentiments: I'm glad this spot is here, but I wasn't as impressed with this poke spot as I've been with others. Seeing that there is a poke spot popping up on every block, competition is fierce and you gotta be on top! It's relatively reasonably priced for their regular poke bowl, I'd say about $10-$11 - although, it was mostly that brown rice with a few scoops of fish. Womp womp. I would say if you like more fish, opt for the large (4 scoops) vs the regular (3 scoops). These scoops are small! You then customize your bowl. I added seaweed and crab salad, with a ton of toppings. I won't bore you with the ingredients, but the poke bar staples: cukes, avocado (extra $), edamame, etc.. I topped it off with their house sauce. They don't really have many choices: the two popular ones are mayo based, and I'm not a huge fan, defeats the purpose in my opinion. Overall, it was filling, but not as satisfying as I wanted it to be. The rice wasn't comforting and warmed, the ingredients not as fresh and a little bit more fish would have gone a long way. I'd suggest giving it a try if you are local and craving poke, I'll definitely give it another whirl and see if we can bump this review up to 4! read more

Lovely little poke shop with some nice fresh ingredients. They have a nice selection of sides and toppings. I especially like their sushi rice, adds a better dynamic to the mixture. I got their spicy mayo this time around and its pretty standard, nothing to fawn over. The fish quality is decent as well. I was pleasantly surprised by #poki. It was a rainy, dark night and we were craving a Poki bowl to take back home. Did a little yelp search and found this spot on the way. It was empty when we arrived around 5:30pm. Everything was stocked well behind the counter and the staff was friendly. We each ordered a bowl with 3 different proteins. Well displayed menu as you pick everything else you want on it. Pretty much the same ingredients you find at other places. The rice was plated separately from the rest of the stuff instead of a pile on top. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. Good spot to stop at if you're in the area. The fish is fresh and top notch, and I love all of the different options you can pair with each bowl. As with everything during this COVID-19 time, I was recently at a local hospital (visiting, not staying) and in need of a meal, called Hashtag Poke because it was recommended to me. Especially during COVID-19, everything seems harder than it is. To visit anyone at the hospital, there is only 1 visitor per day and you can go, but never leave. If you do, you can't re-enter the hospital the same day, you just leave. So since I was a "hostage" at the hospital, I called Hashtag Poke hoping to 1) get some pointers on how to order something I was told was on the menu, but NOT on the internet menu and 2) get it delivered to the hospital (it was convenient to the hospital, like about a city block). The kid on the line told me there were no phone orders, I had to order through DoorDash. When I told him that the item I wanted was NOT on the InterWeb menu, he said, just make an order with a "placer" item (any item on the menu) and in the notes, put in the item that does not appear on the online menu. So that is what I did. I did not get what I wanted. I got what I ordered. Which, was fine, but not what I wanted. Door Dash was okay, but seemed to not be able to find the front door of the hospital. The meal itself was okay. I ordered the smallest bento size, which for me, was just right. I got a scoop of brown rice (like a big ice cream scoop), maybe half a cup, tuna sashimi, garlic chips and a double order of macaroni salad (a treat for me). The best thing was the macaroni salad (but I'm a sucker for macaroni salad). Since the rest was really not what I ordered, I would say it was just "meh". Would I go again? Sure, if I was not being held hostage in a hospital and I could actually get what I wanted. Or if I had a craving for macaroni salad that could not be satisfied somewhere else. Overall, the experience was not great from a customer service point of view. (Since I was already calling them, and if the person on the phone cared, he could have taken my order and matched it with the door dash when it came). And the food was just "meh". #poke is my #gotoplace. Good prices and good quality! The fish is petty fresh and there's a good variety. The Covid menu includes sushi rolls and nigiri. Rolls are good bang for the buck and not over filled with rice. Their ordering website is easy to navigate and you can opt in to get a text when your order is ready. First and last time ordering from here. Had I known the spicy tuna was ground I would have ordered from somewhere else. Extremely hard to get past the texture (which is really like a thick paste made out of fish), and it tasted rather fishy compared to fresh cubed tuna. The taste and the preparation makes me think this fish wasn't fresh. I've never been served poke like this, and when it's not what you're expecting, it's not that appetizing. Review #209 - 2018 We showed up around 6:15 PM & were quite surprised to see that the place was empty considering that it was dinner time. After a few seconds, five other customers showed up and it was nonstop busy after we got seated. I guess we showed up right before the dinner rush. I went with the regular size since I wasn't super hungry and it was actually just the right amount of food. My brother mentioned that his didn't have enough flavor. I thought it was just me who thought that, but I guess their sauce was kind of lacking some flavor. The fishes and vegetables were fresh so that's definitely a good thing for a poke shop. The King of Poke spots. It's confirmed. Hashtag Poki has ruined all other poke shops in the east bay for me. There just isn't anything better in terms of freshness, taste and price when it comes to this place. Everything tastes great from their fresh cuts of fish, to their veggie options, to their RICE! It's all good. The staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful. Very knowledgeable of their product and ingredients. For me, it's super satisfying going in and seeing the unpacked boxes of imported fish from that day. Seeing that shows they are DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY, and is a true testament to Hashtag Poki's care in quality ingredients. Just my recommendation, keep the toppings and sauces to a minimum and really taste the fish this place is bring to the table. I think this is officially my favorite poke spot! I live in San Francisco but my best friend lives in Berkeley. She raved about this place so we decided to have it for dinner one night when I came to visit and I was blown away. The presentation alone was 5/5. Everything was neatly placed and really appealing to the eye. The fish was fresh (no metallic or "fishy"/"fresh from the ocean" taste) and the toppings/sides had a large variety. The staff has always been pleasant as well! I was here the other week and was practically screaming through my mask to try to be clear with my order and kept apologizing when I asked the guy making my food to continuously repeat himself, and he was such a good sport about it (thank you!!). Best poke in town! We've been coming here since they opened and it's the only poke we'll get now. There are spots closer to us but this is worth the trek. They've spoiled us. Deliciously fresh fish, amazing sauces, and all the sides you need to make a mouth watering bowl. My favorite: salmon poke bowl with sushi rice and mixed greens. Had takeout from here the other night and it was great. They have it set-up very efficiently for takeout due to the shelter-in-place. Decided to try this place after seeing its recommendations on Caviar. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I ordered the medium poke bowl, miso soup and the salmon roll. Now, the poke bowl alone was a really good portion that I truly didn't need to have all the other parts of the meal (but I ate it anyway because it was all so good!). I ordered my poke bowl with salad instead of rice. A lot of poke places are very skimpy on the fish, but this place was just the perfect amount that I was able to get a piece of finish in nearly every bite! I decided to try a new poki spot. Not the best one obviously. It is a moderate size space place. You can find there a few tables for two or four persons. You can sit in front of the window and take a look at the street. You should know there are no restrooms and you can't even wash your hands before the meal. The ordering process is pretty simple, just follow the instruction on the board on the wall. Unfortunately, there are no fountain drinks. But you can buy alcohol, like beer. The staff was not very friendly, maybe it was the bad day. The portions are not big even with the large bowl option. The rice was super dry and not delicious. in my opinion, the fish ingredients on my bowl, like spicy tuna, weren't fresh. You should know they have only plastic flatware and it is not individually packed. I can go back over there only if other places in the area will be out of business. read more

Not horrible, not fantastic, just okay -- I wavered between giving this place 3 or 4 stars. Settled on 3 after I asked myself: given all the other poke options in the area, would I return? I ordered a mini with sushi rice, seaweed salad, crab salad, salmon, and hamachi with their basic sauce. My meal buddy ordered the unagi which was warm and delicious. So so yummy! I was visiting the nearby hospital and it came recommended by staff. Our new mommy was very happy.

The food is good and fresh. The service is strong. My wife and I are not easy customers and they always do a great job with our questions and challenges. Just writing this review is making me want to go there tomorrow for a meal. I do really love it. If you like spicy, they have lots of options. Also, they give generous portions. The best part is the freshness though. It is just super fresh. I very much like the food here and the combinations available. It is directly across the street from whole foods so it is a good place to go before you go grocery shopping. Also there is typically parking and not huge lines. I do think as more and more people try this place it is going to get more hectic but for now it is still low key. The only downside to this place is price. It is a bit pricy but maybe that is the going rate for poke, I'm not sure, but it doesn't feel like a cheap place. read more
