I liked their food when i went for lunch with a friend. My husband wanted to surprise me with dinner and he was not very happy. He said they were Very stand offish and rude! Rice portions containers only half full! Definitely not enough rice for two full entrees. $75 for two entrees, 1 chicken kabob and some pompadoms! We won't be back especially due to their attitude and skimping of portion sizes for take out. read more

The food was very tasty. Love their butter chicken. Our only complaint is that the chicken tikka masala that my son ordered extra extra hot, wasn't. The service was fast and friendly and the decor was inviting, however, the dining room smelled a bit of cleaning solution. read more

This place is so bad is the slowest place in McKinney i dont recomend to come here is so bad and the people at the front just look at you waiting for service the say 5 minutes for a table when all the tables are empty never come to this place read more

Dinner of 4, and ordered a ton. We sampled Samosas, Nalla karam Gobi (cauliflower), Garlic Naan, Boneless Chicken Biriyani, Góngora Mutton Curry (Goat), Butter Chicken, and for dessert Gulab Jamun (sweet dough balls) and Rasmalai(cottage cheese in sweetened milk). We also ordered a Mule, a margarita, which was strong, and a free Lychee Martini. Food was flavorful, warm, and delicious. I'm craving more as I write this. The server was attentive, and quick. There wasn't many people there for a Saturday night dinner, but they deserve a bustling crowd. read more

Tried weekend breakfast buffet. Very poor quality. Tea is not hot. Dosa and Poori are not fresh. Very bad organization where all crowd stands in line where the food is placed at one ended corner. Sambar and chutneys very poor quality. read more

Amazing food! I'll start there! We tried about 5 different items because we wanted to try different flavors. I loved it! My wife thought some of the flavors were a little too intense. The restaurant is a laid back sort of a sports bar vibe. Nice sized and well stocked bar just inside. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I had to wait an hour for takeout. When there were very few people in the store and no one seemed to be able to help. But they were very polite when I asked about the delay. read more

I'm not a fan of bad reviews and I've read all the bad ones on this place. I wanted to see if their impression was any different than mine. First the music was so damn loud I couldn't even hear my grandson three feet across the table from me. Get a clue people, part of a good dining experience is enjoying the company of the people you are with and my God we had to shout to be heard. My granddaughter wanted Indian and since it is her birthday month the birthday girl gets to choose. My grandson actually found the place. I was a little leery of the 3.5 stars, I usually aim a bit higher. There didn't seem to be any choices on some of the foods regarding the level of spice. All my granddaughters order MILD but it was so hot and spice they couldn't eat it. No descriptions on the menu, so it makes it hard for people who watch what we each to know how something is cooked and the waitress didn't offer much info. I eat carnivore so I chose the lamb chops, I mean what can go wrong there? Well each chop had some kind of thick mushy coating that was so blasted damn spicy I could barely eat it. There didn't seem to be any knives so I just ended up picking up the lamb chop but all the gunky mushy coating on the meat got all over my hands, under my nails, it was a mess. It was so hot and spicy I just started to scrape whatever it was on the lambchops off so I could at least taste the meat. I don't mind a little spice but when it is so strong that you can't even taste the food why even eat? My oldest granddaughter took her two sisters food home because it was so spicy they couldn't handle it. I'm pretty sure my son in law had to stop at a drive through to get them something they actually could eat. I've eaten at a number of Indian restaurants and enjoyed them very much but this place, not so much. read more

This place is, without a doubt the tastiest restaurant in town! The prices are very reasonable for the quality and flavor of the food. I absolutely love the Mandi biryani and pulao here especially the juicy mutton Mandi which is just wow! The Nalli Gosht Mandi is a must-try, and the fry piece pulao along with all the other pulaos, are my favorites. I come here often and sometimes I go for the naan and curries, which are also amazing. The naan is always well-cooked, soft, and delicious. I truly love the food the people here are so nice and the atmosphere is wonderful! read more

Hashtag India in McKinney offers a cozy ambiance and flavorful Indian cuisine. The interiors were all very new and fresh and clean. We didn't stay. I ordered takeout and waited for the food there. The Tandoori Chicken was good but lacked depth in spices. However, the Paneer Methi Malai stole the show with its creamy texture and aromatic flavors, making it our favorite dish. Portion sizes were just right, ensuring a satisfying meal without feeling overly full. If you're in McKinney and craving authentic Indian flavors, Hashtag India is worth a visit. Overall, will return here another time for takeout. read more

Really below average . Biryani was just ok . Wasn't very flavorful like we thought it was would and the butter chicken wasn't good at all . And very pricy in my opinion . Service was robotics . Would not recommend! read more

We have been meaning to try the buffet here since it has opened. But avoided due to the opening crowd. Restaurant is the busy area of restaurants next to costco. They have weekend buffet for 20& for Adults and 12$ for kids, which is a bit pricey with quality of food you get. Appetizers and breakfast items were decent. Butter chicken was good but watered down, barely any meat. Chicken Korma, chicken tasted off chicken biryani was ok but spicy. My wife mentioned that veg were great either. Mango kulfi was pretty good, double ka meetha was meh. The guy who made and called the sweet Junnu, should patent the recipe and name it something else and never make it again, it was tasteless. I am not going back if the quality is this low. read more

My waitress recommended trying the non veg thali when I was wanting to try different dishes. Everything was delicious and the mango drink she suggested really cools down the heat. I've been in several times now and each dish I've had had been delicious. Grateful for such a wonder dining experience. read more

Been looking for some good Indian food and we have it at last! We stayed "safe" and tried the samosas (lovely, handmade with a perfect spiciness), tandoori chicken (roasted tomato tang, sauce like velvet), mutton korma (sauce to die for, rich and buttery. Mutton was tender and not dry), butter naan (yummy but not particularly special ) and Indo-Chinese fried rice. Both dishes came with basmati rice which was a better option than the fried rice which was good in its own. I also had chai tea and it was perfect!!!!! Can't wait to go back and try more. The waitress was so friendly and took the time to explain many menu items that we were unsure what they were to us. She also told us they have buffet for $19.99 from 12-3pm on Saturday and Sunday. Considering the entrees are a little on the pricey side, the buffet is certainly a great value! read more

The food here has always been consistently good. However, the customer service is the complete opposite. I've decided that after going to this location as often as I do that I will no longer give them my business. The staff is ALWAYS rude. Why give a business your money when they treat you so horribly. read more

Food was great. Waitress was very gracious and answered our questions. She made a great recommendation for me with mixed grill. I asked for spicy and they kicked up the onions to spicy for me . Family atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Menu had no descriptions and few pictures, waitress ignored me and only spoke to my SO. Samosas came with free hair.

The food and the staff is awesome. Come give it a try !!! Best Indian I have had in the dfw.

4 stars on the food, half star on the service. They forgot portions of our order, zero organization of servers. It was like a free for all to them. But I have to admit, the staff was very nice. They comped us for an appetizer for the forgetting of our order. But don't get me wrong, the food was good and portioned well. Lamb Tikka Masala, grilled fish, masala dosa, then a comped fried chicken. All very tasty and good spice for me, mild enough for my wife. Take your chances for the service like a night market, and be patient for the good food. read more

After reading several reviews, I really wanted to try this place. The overall service was just fine. Friendly staff. We ordered the buttered chicken, Chicken tikka masala, vindaloo, with garlic naan. I specifically asked for the spiciest dish and was recommended the Vindaloo. Let me start by saying it came to the table very lukewarm. The masala and buttered chicken was steaming hot. I was surprised to find tons of little tiny bones in the vindaloo and no warning of bones in the food. There was ZERO spice at all. All three entrees of chicken were dry and just overall not cooked well. The naan bread was very thin and flavorless. Maybe we just came on a bad night but I will not be returning. read more

Ok, been wanting to try this place out for a while. So the wife and I went Friday for date night 6pm. Place wasn't busy at all, a lot of to go people there. It looked really nice and the server was really nice and looked like they cared. Got us water right away. Menu was like 4 pages long, so I was excited....except they didn't have samosas!!!!! WTH!!!! That's like the most traditional Indian thing! Ugh ok, fine I'll go to what I go to Indian places for...The Chicken Vindaloo...so I ask the server for it and she says sorry we don't have that...I look at my wife and say ok, let's go and we went to Taste of India down the street...sooooo good! I mean come on Hashtag!! those two things you should def have at any Indian restaurant! So we didn't have any food, so I can't say anything about that. But prob won't be going back here. Sorry...wish you guys the best of luck. read more

This is a great place to go if you want to try Indian food! I have always been overwhelmed by the choices- but the staff is very patient and totally willing to help answer questions. Everything that came to the table was phenomenal! The chicken momo (think dumplings with sauce) were amazing! We also tried a dessert sampler and they gifted us with other treat to try as well. Looking forward to going back soon. They have done a great job updating the space into a nice open space- great for large parties! read more

Dont even think of going there, food is bland and soulless. I gave couple tries thinking it might have changes but no. Yesterday I had Raju gari kodi pulao as it was weekend special, it was so bad I still regret it. No flavor its just turmeric rice. Not sure if the chef even know how that dish is prepared. Please avoid it, only reason I see this restaurant working is because there is no other indian restaurant near by, travel couple minutes and try other restaurants in Frisco or even in little elm but avoid this. I also saw staff here are immigrant students, not sure if they are authorized to work in restaurants. read more

This place was legit ...casual... great food... good prices... the meat platter is a must! My wife had the butter chicken... I don't know why it's called butter chicken it was just good curry chicken. You pick the level of spice. I want to try the Sunday buffet. I forgot today. And the bread is OMG good... read more

Food was very mediocre. Extremely poor service. Ambiance was ok. I will not go again. Very disappointed

We enjoyed the masala dosa--yummy dips with it; the pani purri was excellent and the chicken tikka masala was very very good---had some veggies in it with the chicken. Service was very good and the place was very pleasant and enjoyable for a long lunch read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would, 1 does not summarize the experience I had. I work for a food delivery service. I picked up an order for my customer around 10:30 last night and the man who was working at the front counter, not only was rude but yelled in my face in front of multiple bystanders. He screamed in my face stating that it was my fault for his behavior simply because I had my headphones in. It was an incredibly loud atmosphere and as someone who has ASD, I do not enjoy loud settings. It is also very common for neurotypical individuals to use headphones while in public settings. The behavior displayed by the man-child was disgusting and I will never return to this establishment. He is too much of an asshole to ever hold any accountability for his actions, but I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. And will continue posting this review in order for people to see how people are truly treated at this restaurant. read more

We arrived at the end of the cricket world championship with India VS New Zealand, were graciously attended to, and experienced the elation of the entire restaurant erupting in joy as India WON! It was MAGICAL!!!! Then we ordered and I got the buttered chicken and garlic naan! It was SUPERB! It was a cultural experience I will always cherish! I even ordered a cookbook off Amazon for Indian Cuisine as I loved it so much! THANK YOU Hashtag India for making this a memorable experience! read more

Tried chicken biryani and paneer biryani at this place. This restaurant does not have the skill to make any biryani. They should just get it off their menu. Adding colored rice over chicken or paneer does not make it biryani. read more

Had Saturday lunch Buffet yesterday. The World Cup was on all over and the atmosphere was amazing. Food was better than I had expected (first time having buffet here). The deserts were awesome. Amazing food. Great service. A group of 6 shared several dishes and a small dessert. And it did not break the bank even with drinks.

Opened at 11am, we arrived at 11.20a, buffet was expected to start at 11.30 (was told by two employees). The two different waitresses didnt get back to our table until 12p, was kept being told buffet is almost ready. BTW workers were still cleaning the floors from the previous day's hours while it opened for lunch. When we finally asked for the buffet at 12p was told it was ala cart buffet, when we asked why the kitchen wasn't ready - was told they arrived at restaurant opening (at 11a). Huh ? Yes we walked out. Will NEVER visit this place again. Also they were serving bottled Niagra water to customers, so something likely is wrong with their water. read more

Food was good and the waitress was kind enough to recommend me a good meal. The atmosphere was clean and the food was only a 5 minute wait.
