The store itself is well organized and the playing areas are nice. It's not big but they have good stuff for a good price. My husband says a lot of places mark their stuff up super high and he didn't find that to be the case here, so he was happy. The person working the counter was super friendly and of course he and my husband started a long nerdy conversation. He asked him to come back on a certain night but we were leaving Providence this same day so we had to say no. I know my husband wanted to come back. Maybe one day.

If I Could Give Zero, I Would…read more I'm a lifelong gamer. Tabletop, miniatures, RPGs, the whole culture -- it's been part of my life longer than some stores have existed. While on vacation, I went out of my way to visit this local shop because I genuinely WANT to support small businesses and the broader nerd community. I regret ever walking through the door. The moment I entered, the owner couldn't have looked less interested. Not a hello, not a nod, nothing. Just a silent, bored stare like my presence was an inconvenience. Only after I made it clear that I intended to buy a few things did he muster even the weakest, most reluctant attempt at customer service -- and even then, it felt like he was doing me a favor by acknowledging me. The selection was mediocre at best, but I still planned on buying several items to support the store. I picked up some paints and asked about a statement on their Instagram: "No Chuds No Bastards." I asked -- politely -- what that meant. His answer? "It means no right-wing f***faces." Classy. A bit taken aback, I clarified: what about someone who isn't racist, isn't hateful, but is simply more libertarian, pro-military, pro-police, pro-Second Amendment? Would they be welcome? His answer, smug and proud: "No. I hate the police." Why? Because, according to him, police "don't protect lives, only property." This man had no idea who he was talking to -- a law enforcement officer who risked my life at the Pulse nightclub terrorist attack to save members of the LGBTQ+ community. I have literally put my body between innocent people and gunfire. I have earned a Medal of Valor for saving dozens of lives. But in his world, none of that matters. Nuance? None. Respect? None. Just blind bigotry wrapped in fake moral superiority. He ranted against the military too. Apparently anyone who serves, protects, or runs toward danger instead of away from it is unwelcome in his store. Rather than blow up -- which he absolutely deserved -- I simply returned the items, told him I wished things were different, and left. Bottom line: If you are police, military, law enforcement, first responder, or simply someone who believes in basic respect for people who serve their community, stay FAR away from this store. They don't want you there -- and trust me, the feeling will be mutual once you experience the owner's arrogance, hostility, and pathetic customer service. Support literally ANY other local game shop. This one has proudly chosen ideology over community, contempt over kindness, and bigotry over business. It's not worth your time, your money, or your presence.

They also have bins where you can build your own figure just like the regular LEGO store. In the back, is a private room where you can host a LEGO birthday party as well. In addition to selling, they also buy used LEGOs for a great price. My son was able to sell a few sets and get $50 in credit that he used for some new figures. The owners are knowledgeable about their LEGOs. I was looking to complete my LEGO Muppet collection and they were able to pick out the EXACT pieces I needed by feeling the bag. They also said if they got it wrong, they would let me pick another one. They are incredibly kind and patient with the kids and adult collectors. New sets are a little pricier than they would be at Target or somewhere else, maybe by a dollar or two, but worth it to support such a great small business.

When shopping you better know exactly what you are looking for because there is a good chance that they might have it but hidden somewhere in the back of the store not accessible to the shoppers. I'm so glad we checked out Game King in Fall River, because even though it seems unassuming, I am sure this is going to be the place to be once we can get back in the groove of tabletop nights! I could have spent hours here meandering around the winding aisles, chock full of hard to find comics (they even had some early releases!), tabletop figurines and paints, die of every shape, size, and color, and unique merchandise that I've only seen online for three times the price. As a huge Magic the Gathering nerd, I was delighted to browse through their wide array of Planeswalker Funko Pops, including the Nissa Revane figurine that I have been desperately trying to find! I think these went out of circulation a few years back, and the only place I've seen them was on Ebay for upwards of fifty bucks. Not so at Game King, where they were reasonably priced, and of course, it's awesome to support a great small business like this one. The clerk was friendly and very attentive - I appreciated the personalized attention, willingness to answer questions, and for lack of a better term "geek out" with me about the Magic The Gathering fandom. They did have a great selection of games and collectibles, and if they don't have something, they will be able to order it for you. My fiance enjoys coming here, even to look around. Every time I walk into the store, I am greeting by an associate and asked how I am doing and if I can be assisted at all (even at peak times where customers are almost shoulder to shoulder). For a 'smaller' location, Reality A Games has a strong variety and selection of cards, games, collectibles, video game systems, and they even host tournaments. Reality A Games has something for every one of all ages and interests. Currently, I am primarily into retro games only, and I do not have much experience with cards, but from my experience I have noticed there are always customers inside the shop playing Magic the Gathering, and they seem to really enjoy the atmosphere that Reality A Games has created. For years, I have been hunting down big name titles, and smaller name titles across many different generations of systems at Reality A Games. Every time I visit, there is always new games and/or systems that I did not see on my previous visit. The staff here are always happy to help me find what I am looking for, and if they do not have it in stock, they give me great tips on where I can find certain titles and if they may expect it in store soon. From customers coming in to part with their collections, to customers chasing that nostalgia of games they played growing up, Reality A Games and the devoted staff approach you with nothing but the best customer service you have ever experienced in these past few years of retail business.
