I have lived on the cape for 26 years so I'm pretty familiar with the local nail salons. This is absolutely the most unfriendly place you will ever go to for a manicure. The owner is a total prick. None of my friends will go here anymore because he is so rude. I was in desperate need of a manicure last minute so I went a couple weeks ago and he was so rough handling my hands that I almost walked out in the middle of the manicure. I think he also said negative things about me in his native language which I think is Vietnamese. I almost got up and left. I was rushed into a seat, my hand was placed & pruned in water while I was not allowed to choose a color, and I was scolded throughout the whole process to be psychic and know exactly when & where to move my hands. Then the gel was sloppily globbed on. It is NO surprise it has chipped after one week. Worse than the quality was simply the rude/rushed attitude. Advice: Do NOT rush people (especially when NO ONE else is in the salon), do NOT expect them to know exactly when and where you want them to place their hands, and make it a PLEASANT experience. I have been going to this place for years when I come to visit my parents in the summer. They do a fine job, nothing special and they have never been particularly friendly, but it's convenient, they accept walk ins and the prices are reasonable. However today I walked in wanting a pedicure. There were 3 employees all sitting using their cell phones, there was not one other customer in the store. When I told the man who reluctantly greeted me that I wanted a pedicure he made a face and had a quick conversation with one of the other women who also looked unhappy to hear there was someone there willing to pay them for a service. The man then turned back to me and said "sorry we don't have time right now". I had to stop myself from laughing in his face. I walked out, never to return again, there are plenty of other places that are friendlier and do a better job. Don't waste your time here. read more

Never go to this place! The guy over there is a jerk! They don't know anything about customer service and caring their customers. I get a really bad treat by that guy I feel discriminated because of my accent and my tan color skin, even when he is an immigrant as well. Even the others customers noticed it and tell him to try to be nice with me. A place that does not to treat customers shouldn't be open. read more

If i could give negative stars i would.. First of all, she asked me how much my gel pedi was in Boston and i said $30 and she fought me on the truth of that statement.. Um i think i know how much i pay for things thanks! Tried to tell me theres nowhere for under $45 for gel mani in Boston and being very rude about it. Upon leaving I wanted to keep the (disposable) sandals on vs putting my shoes on and the same crazy lady told me "no dont do that" im like uhh im able to make my own decisions and kept telling me not to do that. Then i go to pay and "we dont take cards" ok thanks for the signage and info letting me know that!! Lesson learned.. Stick with Boston salons Oh and also.. Last time i checked a $30 pedicure included a freakin leg massage.. Not here!! read more

Went there for a pedicure. Was seen by Michael, he was OK, not to talkative but that's OK with me. My standard pedicure was just that STANDARD. They do offer a deluxe but the price difference was $$$$ The salon is clean, eye pleasing but my pedicure looked just standard!! Nothing to go back for a 2nd time!! read more

They are just the best when it comes to nails. My nails always last for at least 3 weeks. The service is always amazing, they are just wonderful people. I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

This was horrible... they DO NOT sterilize their tools. The man who gave me my so called pedicure had an endless conversation, not in a normal voice but LOUD! Barely a massage...really careless polish job with the color all over my feet.... he could care less. The place is DIRTY. Really disappointed because the location is near my gym. The employees were extremely rude not only to me but to customers walking in. I didn't even have them paint my nails after the fill. Paid $42.00 for a gel fill that all broke off within 5 days and I went back to my normal salon. Would never go here again. read more

This place is terrible. Just because they pretty much have the nail salon market cornered in this area does not mean that they can do a really terrible job. They rushed through everything and just slopped polish on my nails. It went on so thick it chipped within 24 hours and it didn't get anywhere near the end of my nail bed. There was still a line of nail not painted. On top of their lazy polish job and cursory cuticle care their service in general was insulting. They took a woman ahead of me who had come in at least ten minutes after me. They left me sitting with my feet in the pedicure tub long enough for the water to get cold and my toes to wrinkle. After the 5 minutes it took the woman to prepare my nails to be polished she informed me they don't take cards. So while I wrote out my check she walked away and started another woman's pedicure! I sat waiting another ten minutes until I managed to look angry and impatient enough for the man finishing up next to me to come over and polish my nails. Only to be disappointed by his crappy polish job. And on top of all this horror they had the audacity to charge me 40 dollars! Do yourself a favor and venture back towards Hyannis to find a decent salon. read more

Not impressed. It seemed like it would be an ok experience but it was not. There was a limited choice for polish colors. Then I was enjoying my pedicure when the men working there complained every time a new customer came in. Then I got up from drying and the woman came over saying $35, $35. I thought $35 for a pedicure. Geez. Then I looked at their pricing board and it said pedicure $25, deluxe pedicure $35. I only asked for a pedicure. What gives them the right to upgrade me at a cost to me?! Never going back. And so disappointed. Was a nice convenient location but I hope that no one ever goes!!!!!! read more

Shame on me for trying this nail salon yet again. If you can get by the angry and rude disposition of the owner the end result is okay but they are anything but pleasant. This guy has a bug up his ass. I didn't tip him which is extremely unusual for me since my whole working career was tip orientated. read more

Do not listen to any of the bad reviews on here! I have been going here for 6+ years and they do a fantastic job every time. They are all super friendly! Do not go here !! I had a gel polish/shellac applied and within 2 days the polish chipped. This process should last 2-3 weeks if done properly. They have cheap equipment to cure the coats, as I am trying out various salons locally. I will keep you posted re. best salon when I find it. I write again...now, besides having poor quality performance, they are the rudest, most disrespectful business people I have ever met in my 32 years living in the Harwich/Chatham/Dennis area. Stay away from here if you value your dollar and your self-respect. Do not believe any glowing ratings, for most likely they had self/relative or acquaintance place that here. If you want a test, just walk in the door and see the reception you get. That says it all !! read more

On the flip side of the other review. I'm a fairly discerning guy when it comes to haircuts, and for the longest time, could never seem to find anyone to cut my hair the way I like it. At PJ's/Harwich Nails I found THREE excellent stylists (Jana/Jeanette/Helen) who I cannot decide amongst. I actually feel guilty about this dilemma. I had the worst experience here and would never go back. The employees are rude and surly. I had acrylic nails done there awhile ago and went to have them taken off. The nails were ripped from my fingers without being soaked or softened at all. It was very painful and there was severe damage done to one of my natural nails. When I tried to question what was being done I was ignored. The man who I assume is the owner is always abrupt and rude and I have let it go in the past but now would never go there again.
