It's Harvey's, like any other Harvey's.... Except it randomly closes early sometimes. No idea why.

You get exactly what you pay for. Food is hot and fresh and the drinks nice and cold. I have no complaints about the food or the staff. Everyone is quite friendly but the reason I am only giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is because every time I am there, the music is way too loud. I have asked the server why they play the music so loud and they said this is how they do it at all the locations and is a head office decision. The music is so loud you can barely speak to the people you are sitting with. I understand that it's not fine dining but it's also not a bar/club. Live music is one thing but this is a lot. I even suggested they only turn the music up after a certain time and I know others have complained about the volume because I have been told this by the servers. One of them is actually a friend of mine and said they don't like it either. 6 pm is a little early to have to scream over music. Other than that, it's good food, fair priced and good portions. The company is great.

We ordered Happy Hour nachos (beware the extra guacamole charge), a kids cheeseburger meal, Wednesday night ribs, and two lobster and steak meals. Everything hit the spot and loved the amount of melted butter provided so I could drown my food like I wanted to (seriously). No leftovers so portion sizes were appropriate. Kids at for less than $10 each!

Our meal combinations were a variety of quarter chicken, white meat with mashed potatoes, fries, coleslaw and crisp garden salad. With some meal deals (lookout for local coupons) comes a side of perogies-our son loves them, and pie-pecan, apple or lemon meringue! The warm little white roll and chalet sauce adds a nice touch. Overall a little salty but this is to be expected at most restaurants. Our order was complete, prepared quickly and customer service was excellent!

The family pack comes with four sides and I am pretty sure I got way more than that. I received two containers that the salad comes in filled with seasoned fries and a regular packaged fries then a medium size container of coleslaw as well as a small container of coleslaw. They also gave us chocolate. The ribs was tender and came off the bone easily. It had a good amount of BBQ sauce on it not too messy. I enjoyed the ribs more than the chicken. The chicken was heavy on salt side. If you removed the skin it wasn't so bad. The fries were good. I prefer the non seasoned fries. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy definitely would get that again. We were really hungry and forgot to take pictures

We…read morewere greeted at the bar and since I have been here before I knew there was a pool table and somewhere to sit upstairs we got a couple drinks and went there. We were alone on the 2nd level and it was around 10:00PM at night. It was great to take my date here because we didn't really have to share the upstairs with anyone else. There was a pool table, darts, a chalkboard, a foosball, a table, a fireplace and a lounge area... Need I say more? The waitress came upstairs and asked us for our order and came back with it in reasonably time (15 minutes or so) Though we were having a great time upstairs having fun, it really didn't seem too long. We got wings and nachos and we lounged around eating and drinking some wine and beer, and doing some of the activities. There are places to sit at booths, at the bar or on high tables on the 1st level. The view from the bottom of the restaurant and the view from the top of the 2nd floor are great. There are multiple televisions for watching sports too as well as Karaoke on specific nights. There are parts in the interior that seem to be part of a feed mill from back in the day which was interesting! It is a rustic and country feel. The food is good, though this is a place I believe that thrives on it's environment, atmosphere and entertainment. A great place for a adventurous and casual date with your partner. Each day is different atmosphere whether it is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It may be worth it to call ahead to see how busy it is. Due to our good timing and since it wasn't busy, we had a good time and it was good food.

Is the food good? For a most frightening reason, I never found out. Read on…read more My friend and I recently visited The Scruffy Duck for lunch. It's a comfortable looking pub, with a decent sounding menu. We went for lunch on a Friday around 2 pm. The place was almost empty (the COVID situation may have something to do with their having so few customers). A young lady, our waitress, seated us promptly, gave us a menu, and took our order quickly. The beer we ordered came almost right away. However, about 20-25 minutes later, our food had not arrived. Then, another woman, apparently the owner or manager, asked if our order had come yet (even though she could see there was no food on the table). She then told us our waitress hadn't placed the order, because she wasn't feeling well! So, in the middle of the COVID crisis, this restaurant allowed a sick employee to work, and to serve customers!! We asked the manager to not bother filling our order, asked to pay for the beer (to her credit she said there would be no bill), and we left. Although it's understandable that a sick waitress might accidentally not put in an order, what is TOTALLY INEXCUSABLE is that the restaurant management ALLOWED A SICK EMPLOYEE to work in the midst of the COVID crisis, and to put customers and other staff at risk! And then the manager became angry because we no longer wanted to eat there. Really?????? This is not only irresponsible, it's DANGEROUS! Needless to say, we won't return.

Perhaps a bit of a mistake as we did not enjoy our food much. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms with crab meat as my appetizer & the fish tacos. My husband had haddock & chips and my father in law had their shrimp linguini. The stuff mushrooms were huge & ok tasting but I was turned off by the brown water content that was seeping out onto my plate when cutting it in smaller pieces. My fish tacos was bland. The tortillas almost seemed stale & not soft. I'm surprised that there was no acidity in this dish with all the pico de gallo & looking at the corn, it was all shriveled up. My husband's haddock batter was as hard as a rock and my FIL's linguini was not al dente but was actually uncooked. The only good thing during our visit was our server. She was friendly & attentive so we had some good laughs. Sadly, we won't be coming here again which is too bad since we loved the feeling of the interior space and they have an awesome patio.

For more than a dozen years, this Markham spot has been known for good flavors and portions. The weekend brunch menu from 10am - 2:45pm had an assortment of creative dishes. We opted for their LA mac & cheese ($25) with a saucy cheese blend textured by herb crumbles. The soft shell crab benedict ($24) looked irresistible with two nicely poached eggs beside crab drizzled with maple buffalo hot sauce. While it came with no sides, bites of the whole fried soft shell crab on brioche toast were scrumptious. The inside of this restaurant is cavernous, featuring even a private room and patio. It's much larger than the dated plaza entrance would indicate. Staff were generally active at the tables, even delivering colour sheets to young ones. Skip it or hit it? It was a long time coming but brunch here didn't disappoint. Hit it!

Yelp helped us find a place for lunch in Bolton, ON and it no mistake. Cheeks is reminiscent of a…read moresmall local eatery. It knows what it is, with a menu consisting primarily of burgers & wings, limited sandwich options, a few pasta dishes, and some salads. Yes, it's licensed to serve adult beverages. We came for the burgers and this turned out to be the right choice, specifically the Banquet Burger is one of the best I've had in recent memory. The patty itself is hand formed from fresh beef and cooked to perfection i.e., fully cooked yet very juicy. Make sure you use a napkin and take your bit over your plate. (Our server wisely brought us extra napkins.) The back bacon accompanying the beef patty was well prepared and decent sized also, a very nice Banquet Burger indeed. I also loved the crisp pickle and very much enjoyed the fries. An interesting aside. One of the condiments on the table was "Max & Marcus" prepared mustard. It's labelled "Montreal Deli Style". I didn't need it for my meal but was intrigued as a departure from the usual "French's" or even generic. I had to taste it and determined that it is indeed "premium" as claimed and would absolutely choose it over the usual suspects. Cheeks is very close to a busy corner yet there is a free parking lot very close by. It was April when we were there so the Patio was not yet in service however we got a very nice table near the window. Service was cheerful, quick, and attentive. The place didn't seem especially large yet I'd definitely be back particularly as it's not far from the baseball fields at which we occasionally have a game.

Cheeks feels like one of those neighborhood bar that an American sitcom/TV character would frequent, kind of like in Cheers or The Simpsons. Since it was late and there's ways to drive to get home, we called in advance for a Home Burger to go. The distance from the ball park and Cheeks was rather short, which meant we unfortunately had to endure another Leafs playoff flop against the Lightning that was broadcasted on TV while we waited for our takeout. To tell you the truth, I was still pretty full from the Indian pre-game meal, so I left it to my son to do most of the taste testing. To maintain the integrity of this review, I took the first and the last bite of the burger. The strength of their burger is in the quality of meat and the timing of the grilling. Very rarely will you find a bar that will dare to leave a touch of pink in their patty. The only thing I would of like them to do was to put a little bit more salt in the patties. I couldn't comment on any of their other food, but if you are in the area, Cheeks offers a pretty damn solid burger in the Bolton/Caledon area. If Indian is not your thing and you wanted a less exotic option, check Cheeks out. FYI, my son approves of their burger.
