My gripe with the Broadway store is not with the customer service as we were asked on three separate occasions if we were ok. My gripe is with the mixed messages from sale campaigns. Went to the store after hearing that they had a guaranteed 25% off clearance cameras. As we were after a Canon DSLR we thought we would take a look . But there was no advertising of the sale and all prices seemed normal with some standard discount off the over inflated ticket price. When I asked about the sale, a confused look followed by some explanation that the prices were as marked. I feel this is because Harvey Norman uses the franchise model and all franchises are not united in the corporate sales campaign. Anyhow bought the camera from Camerahouse the same day. Similar thing occurred before Christmas at same store when looking for a Surface Pro as my wife's Christmas present. Was told by the sales person that 'they are crap' and was duly shown a Samsung laptop. Wanted the Surface Pro and bought it the same day at JB hi fi. Ah well...... read more
