As Harvesters go, this one is not bad. No surprises, you know what you're getting for your money: and that suits me.

This pub in the past has had a succession of worthless managers who were "only here for the beer"…read more They were rarely seen except for when they and their mates wanted a good time "on the house". Thankfully, this pub now has a professional manager who treats his staff and customers with the respect they deserve. In the short time that he has been here he has transformed the pub from a drinking hole for a few regulars and for a few underage louts to play pool to a modern stylish establishment providing good real ale and first class food. The pool tables have gone, along with the youth element and any drug problem there was has been totally dealt with. There is a visible increase to the amount of regulars that now comes in and these are of all shapes and sizes. Literally! What I mean is there are more women and families coming in especially on Sunday's for the excellent Sunday Roast. Money has been spent on the decor along with new windows and big screen TV's. There is a warm and friendly atmosphere here now which is a complete contrast to years gone by. The best endorsement I can give to back this up is to say that my wife said she would be happy to walk in to the pub on her own for a drink, and wouldn't feel uncomfortable. I have sampled all of the pubs in the area and I can honestly say this is the best in all departments. Good Beer, good food and as said a good atmosphere. I have also been told that they have a good golf society in there too, with over 70 members. All things considered a very good experience and one I strongly suggest you experience for yourself.

MMM has kept the original layout, which is beautiful with marble floors and pillars. They even pay homage to their former origins by projecting Tom & Jerry onto the wall above the door. They have two different bars--one cocktail bar and one normal (beer and wine) bar. The staff are very helpful and are happy to make suggestions for drinks. We treated ourselves to cocktails, which were very nice but quite expensive (15GBP for two)! Apparently, they also do very good food here. The menu looks great and the staff highly recommend it! I will be back to check out the food. Overall, I was very glad that we checked this place out and I will definitely be back. Another great addition to the Walthamstow scene!!

I loved it, it's wonderful and frankly I was amazed it had been saved and not turned into flats or something while the cinema was closed. There's a separate cocktail and wine bar at the front, which really makes you feel like having a cocktail, but if you resist then the bar at the back serves various beers. The only bad point of course is the toilets, Antic always have bad toilets, and this time they were not only in poor shape but were completely flooded. I appreciate it's an old building but if they can get the rest so right then why not the toilets?? Typical Antic :) I'll still give them 5 stars though as the rest is a marvel for sure.

The staff is lovely and as a pub they have an extra point with the food...because it's yummy! Last year they had a pop-up-summer-hog-pulled-pork-thing that was incredible! There were quite a few real ales on when we were there, and a couple of craft beers on tap. They have a 5 star food hygiene rating on the door which is actually reassuring, it shows they obviously take food seriously and that management care about the place. We did go for the food and it was really good, I was surprised actually as they didn't seem to be making an effort to sell themselves on the quality of the food. We were there early evening and the place already had a buzz to it, they'd also had the Rubgy on earlier but was showing outside which was fantastic as you could then choose to go out and watch it or stay in and ignore it as you pleased. Probably the stand out point was the friendliness of the service, we were met by very enthusiastic bar staff who made the visit memorable - hopefully it's always this good here!

Unfortunately, the actual pub doesn't serve food. The pub staff are always really nice even when they're busy. The clientele range from older men to hipsters to young professionals to everything in between. It's a really good place to grab a pint and they even allow four legged friends. I had a lovely time here last night listening to a blue grass band. There was lots of people there and even some dancing. The atmosphere was great and we really enjoyed ourselves! Now that I've listed all the positives, I do need to talk about the negatives. The pub needs a restoration as it is beginning to look a little worn. For example, the carpets need to be replaced and it could do with a fresh coat of paint. However, the place is pretty clean for a pub! This is pretty minor as the other elements are way more important to a night out. On the other hand, this is also part of the vibe. Overall it's a charming aspect of the community that I'm glad is around!
