We purchased a mal from Harvest Moon in July of this year. The pup was 12 weeks old. Mario told us that the pup was scheduled to go to an Australian buyer, but it fell through. Mario suggested that we use there new transport service as we were only a 6 hour drive away. We agreed to it and paid an additional fee for the transport. The 5-6 hours transport turned into 13 hours, with our pup arriving at 3am. The driver claimed that he pulled over to sleep, but it didn't make sense that he would be too tired to drive 6 hours, and that he needed 7 hours to that! We are pretty sure the driver must have made a secondary delivery along the way, which should not have happened with a live animal. Our pup arrived terrified in a crate that he couldn't move in. He couldn't even turn around or stand for 13 hours! He was urine soaked and dirty with no collar or lead, so it was obvious that the driver never took him out to stretch or use the bathroom. Mario mentioned that the pup had been living outside, so I assume that's why he was dirty. I would think a breeder that claims to treat these dogs like family would have at least groomed the animal before sending it to it's new owners. But, no. We did a great deal of research on breeders before settling on H. M,, but I guess people can claim anything. Our pup is nice looking dog, but he doesn't have Malamute eye color. His eyes are a gold color. We asked for pics if the parents, Mario said he didn't have them on his phone, but would get them. We have never received the pictures. Moose is supposedly the pups father, and we are still unclear if the mother's identity. A big issue is the pup is just terrified of people and the outside since we received him. This seems strange since the breeder claims his dogs are raised in a family home..I addressed my concerns with Mario, but he became hostle pretty quickly, and had very selective memory. It's very disappointing as we had believed this wasn't a puppy mill, but it seems like it is. Our pup has a good home with us, we love him, and he will be well taken care of, but I would be very careful about going business with these people. We also had a DNA test done and the pup is only 85% Malamute. It says he has Greenland dog in him. And another breed. I'd have to go look at the results again to remember what breed. But none the less not the 100% Malamute that he should be. read more

Harvest Moon malamutes are the absolute best Malamute breeders, they take pride in maintaining superior bloodlines. I've bought two puppies from them and have referred several friends. These dogs have brought so much joy in my life And I'm so thankful to have a breeder I can rely on. I like to maintain positivity and I came on here because I'm interested in purchasing another puppy and I'm very disappointed to see some of these awful reviews. Honestly, I couldn't disagree more with these claims. I've had nothing but amazing communication and above standard quality of puppies. When people are dissatisfied they want to automatically say that a breeder is a puppy mill! There is no way that they are a puppy mill, I had to Go on a waiting list and patiently wait for my beautiful puppy. I do know that the public hates to be called out when they're trying to do something crooked like breed against the agreement in the contract with harvest Moon malamutes. People want to make a quick dollar and think that they spent a good amount of money on a puppy and that they can do the same. But it takes skill and patience to create beautiful healthy dogs. Not everyone can do it or everyone would do it. Harvest Moon malamutes goes to lengths to make sure that the breed is maintained and the bloodlines are protected, That's what I want in a breeder. People are very quick to complain when they can't have their way, I hope that the public reads my review and can have faith that these malamutes are the best quality and harvest Moon malamutes is the only place I'll get my puppy from. read more

this is a up date on my review from before I hope that yelp does notice that this so call breeder had nothing to say about my pups results for her DNA that she is 26 percent inbreed witch means that they mated a pup with a parent did mesg them has well on this asking for paper work from them and no mesg back and still no paper work nor contract from this breeder . this is all I am saying I will be going further with this how can a breeder do this to a animal so in her litter that means all the pups from her litter are 26 percent in breed this breeder can not say that theses results are wrong . at least tell the buyer that the dog is inbreed I would never tell anyone to buy a pup from theses people .with all the fake pictures on line they only say about there males were is the females or the pups that you are mated with the parents . you do not show them because they are pups .did go to the state of New York attorney General has well to do what you did you should not have a right to breed . why hurt animals and chance all the health issues being inbreed 26 percent . I didn't think it was possible for Harvest Moon Malamutes to literally breed more love into them than malamutes already naturally have but they have done it. Our Sitka is sooooo sweet and loving and chill. Loves to play and lounge equally. Our last malamute could be fussy about his paws even from a puppy which made caring for his nails challenging and she just lets you play with her paws. Gives kisses. I'm so glad we found her. It's the best Christmas present that we didn't even know we needed. I would got back to Mario every time. Sitka eclipses every Malamute we had before finding Harvest Moon. She's not just a good dog, she's one for the ages. read more

I would recommend this breeder! I bought my dream dog from Harvest Moon Malamutes and I can't express how pleased I am. I have the best boy in the wrold! Koda has a great loving temperament, healthy as an ox, and a head turner. We definitely get a lot of attention every where we go because of his size and how stunning he is. Mario and Beth were very helpful answering any questions we had. I would definitely get another pup from this breeder in a heartbeat! read more
