This place is within a town centre two floor shopping centre. We've been here before and I'm sure I've reviewed it here before.
We took the coffee & scone deal at about €4 a head. The deal allowed a range of scones with butter in foil, cream and jam in mini plastic pot.
What it didn't allow was to opt for a cappuccino or latte - americano only. It was an ok deal with darn good coffee and good but not great scones. Irish butter and cream are fabulous, the scones were good portioned but the jam was the cheaper stuff.
I had walked through the diner with a view to a main meal and got the impression that it was almost school canteen style with the food kept in Bain Marie trays and it put me off a bit.
It was a queue and pay system. I ordered, paid and brought our food to the table. We sat at a table outside the cafe in the centre concourse and a minute walk from M&S and it was a pleasant way to while away an hour or at least au whiled away an hour while my wife did some more shopping. read more
